The tunnel shook under the weight of fury.
Adonis, bruised and bloodied, stood firm. The Eclipse Robe fluttered around him, shielding embers like a living flame. On his head, Quackner let out a loud, threatening "Quaaack!" — a cry of war, apparently.
The Orc King let loose another deafening roar, molten breath searing the air.
Adonis tightened his grip. "Alright, big guy…"Golden light coiled around his arms like chains of judgment. "Let's dance."
With a blast of earth-shattering momentum, the Orc King rushed forward, lava-heat rippling around him. Adonis summoned Sword Domain, golden runes searing the cracked stone beneath. Blades erupted like geysers of death—but the Orc King didn't care. He burst through it all, roaring in rage.
"...Not enough," Adonis whispered, eyes narrowing. He called forth ten more swords, forming a rotating shield of whirling edges—his Sword Ring Wall—but the Orc's flaming fists shattered through it.
Boom!
Adonis was flung across the tunnel. He hit the wall hard, a gasp of blood bursting from his lips. The Eclipse Robe caught him mid-collapse, wrapping him like a mother shielding her child. Mana flowed through it, patching burns and broken ribs.
"Can't let this be the end," he muttered.
Reaching deep into his sword qi reserve, his veins began to glow gold. Light trailed from his eyes as he murmured,
"Heaven's… Judgment… its only option"
The world grew brighter, heat and sword qi mixing in unstable tension.
But—
FWOOSH!A sudden blast of ice slammed into the Orc King's side, freezing one of its arms mid-swing.
Adonis blinked. "What—?!"
Mia stood beside him, silver hair fluttering, a frosty spear forming in her hand.
"I told you to run!" he barked.
"I did," she replied calmly. "Got the others to the second floor gate. Now I'm back. You were about to die."
"I can manage—"
"No," Mia said firmly. "You will die."
Before he could retort, the Orc King attacked again—roaring, enraged by the interruption.
Now they fought together.
Mia summoned waves of ice chains, freezing the monster's legs and joints while Adonis launched precise golden strikes at its openings.
"On my signal," Mia whispered like falling snow.
Adonis nodded. "Ready."
"Now."
He dashed forward—
"Killing circle!"
His sword spun like a high-speed drill, forming a spiraling arc of sword qi. Mia froze the Orc's legs fully, and Adonis crashed down on its shoulder—BOOM!Golden sparks exploded—bone cracked.
The Orc King stumbled, howled—it was hurt. Actually hurt.
Adonis breathed hard. "We can… kill it?"
Mia shook her head. "Its impossible, we can only escape to second floor."
Adonis hesitated. "You want to risk your life just like that?"
"I don't," Mia said. "But I'm not going to watch you die either."
Her words silenced him.
For a moment, the chaos faded, and Adonis felt the faint sting of something in his chest. It made sense if his parents or Elora do something like that but Mia, both of them didn't even talk much, she don't have any obligation for helping him as he was the one who want to play hero in first place, but now hearing her say that. A glimpse of genuine smile crept on his face.
"Then let's both not die."
As his golden eyes glow brighter, he called,
"Eclipse — Envelop it!"
The robe expanded, covering the Orc King in a cocoon of darkness. The beast roared inside.
Adonis poured his mana. "Debuff!"The Orc King's strength faltered, its body sluggish. Then he buffed himself and Mia.
Support Magic do wonders in these situations
And together, they unleashed their strongest:
"Sword Tornado!""Hailstorm Lance!"
A cyclone of golden blades and freezing lances surged down. The Eclipse robe vanished just in time—leaving the Orc King to take the full brunt.
BOOOOOOM!
Flames were extinguished by frost. Blades carved deep.
And without waiting a second—
They ran.
The Orc King was screaming, furious—but half-frozen and regenerating, it couldn't move.
Adonis and Mia sprinted down the passage toward the second floor gate.
Behind them, the monster roared…But in front of them—was survival.
