Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Run! The Tyrannosaurus is Coming!

Suddenly, a wave of hunger hit Jimmy. Reluctantly, he took out another dinosaur thigh — a Proto-Ceratops — from his space ring and began tearing into it.

After eating the dinosaur leg, Jimmy only felt about thirty percent full; before, he had been fifty percent full, but now just thirty percent! It wasn't hard for Jimmy to guess that after merging, his appetite had grown larger!

Jimmy tossed aside the leg bone and picked up the still-calling walkie-talkie.

"All right, I've taken care of those two raptors! Let's keep going!" Jimmy said into the walkie-talkie.

Everyone in the basement was stunned. "You… you really took care of those raptors?" the hunter asked in disbelief.

"Two of them!" Jimmy's voice came through the walkie-talkie.

"My god! Incredible!" the hunter exclaimed.

"All right, I'm inside now! Which way next?" Jimmy asked as he entered the power station.

Under the old man's guidance, Jimmy quickly switched all the red buttons to green. Strangely, there were no raptors inside. Jimmy stepped out from the power station, just as he exited the jungle, with a horrified expression on his face. If he wasn't mistaken, the huge creature sniffing the pool of raptor blood on the ground was a Tyrannosaurus!

Jimmy tried to back away slowly, but at that moment the walkie-talkie buzzed!

"Hello? Hello? What's wrong?" the old man's voice came through.

"Damn! There's a Tyrannosaurus!" Jimmy turned and ran into the jungle.

"Roar!" The Tyrannosaurus let out a roar and chased after Jimmy.

"I'm going to lure the Tyrannosaurus away. You guys run while you can!" Jimmy shouted into the walkie-talkie as he ran through the complicated terrain.

"What about you?" the old man asked anxiously.

"Don't worry! If I could sneak in, I can sneak out. But you guys need to leave fast!" Jimmy yelled.

"…We'll wait for you!" the old man said firmly.

"I don't need you to wait! I can leave on my own! But you can't stay. With the dinosaurs just released, if you don't leave now, it's over for you!" Jimmy shouted, running as the Tyrannosaurus roared behind him.

Hearing this, the old man fell silent.

"Go! Don't worry about me!" Jimmy climbed a tall tree, looking helplessly at the Tyrannosaurus below.

"Is Gellan there? Get him to listen!" Feeling momentarily safe, Jimmy asked quickly.

"I'm here!" Gellan's voice sounded tired.

"Good. You should know what I'm capable of! Gellan, listen carefully, I want you to convince them to leave immediately! I'll get out safely on my own," Jimmy said quietly.

There was silence on the walkie-talkie for a moment before Gellan responded, "...Alright then! But you…"

"Don't worry about me! I came here to hunt a Tyrannosaurus!" Jimmy suddenly sneered.

"Are you really going to stay here?" Gellan asked at last.

"Yes! You all run!" Just as Jimmy finished speaking, the tree shook violently. He looked down to see the Tyrannosaurus ramming the tree trunk.

Helpless, Jimmy grabbed a vine and swung away, then caught another vine on a nearby tree, moving like Tarzan through the trees.

"Roar!" The Tyrannosaurus spotted Jimmy, let out an angry roar, and gave chase.

Meanwhile, after Dr. Gellan explained the situation to the survivors, the old man led the others out of the basement. There were eight survivors total: the old man, the little boy and girl, Dr. Gellan and his wife, the hunter, the black man, and the bespectacled male doctor.

The black man first went to the control room to restart the system, and then the old man quickly called inland for help.

Then they got into an off-road vehicle and drove toward the Jurassic Park exit.

"Are we really not waiting for him?" the little girl whispered, clutching the dragon horn Jimmy had given her.

"Don't worry! He'll be fine! He's not an ordinary person!" Gellan comforted her.

"Yeah! Kekes, don't worry! Grandpa will definitely send people back to find him when we return!" The old man said, still very grateful Jimmy had saved his grandchildren.

Finally, the eight boarded a helicopter and left Nublar Island. What Jimmy didn't know was that he had left a very deep impression on these survivors…

At this moment, by a pond in front of the control center, Jimmy slowly raised his head. Only after the Tyrannosaurus had left did he climb out. He had been chased here by the Tyrannosaurus, and in desperation, had jumped into the pond to hide.

Returning to the visitor center, Jimmy found the raptor corpses underground were gone! Shaking his head, he went upstairs. The raptor's corpse was still in the restroom, and Jimmy immediately tried to merge, but failed.

At this time, the visitor center still had water and electricity. After washing up a bit, Jimmy began looking for food. The dining hall had plenty of food on the tables. If Jimmy guessed right, this food was what the old man used to entertain the doctors! This turned out to be a boon for Jimmy.

Jimmy devoured a third of the food fiercely, then happily belched. Seeing two-thirds of the food left, Jimmy thought to store some delicious and obviously expensive items in his ring. He planned to take them back for the chubby guy to try.

Then, Jimmy returned to the basement. Opening a cabinet, he saw a row of guns. "Heh heh!" Jimmy chuckled, putting all the firearms into his ring. Unfortunately, there were only about fifty bullets, but for a hillbilly like Jimmy who had never handled guns before, it was pure happiness—now he could hunt more dinosaurs!

Jimmy searched the basement a bit more and found plenty of tranquilizers! After grabbing a few powerful flashlights, Jimmy settled down for a nap. After all, this place was very hidden—much better than the control center.

When Jimmy woke up, it was already the next day!

Jimmy slowly opened the basement door, checked that no dinosaurs were outside, then stepped out.

"Heh heh!" Jimmy laughed and charged toward the free grassland—that was his hunting ground…

Jimmy still had two days left. First, he found a waterhole dinosaurs often visited to drink, then he poured the tranquilizers he found in the basement into the water.

Then, Jimmy hid in the trees, patiently waiting. Honestly, Jimmy didn't know how long the tranquilizers could last on the dinosaurs, but just five seconds was enough!

Actually, Jimmy's prime target was the Tyrannosaurus, but unfortunately, that cunning beast kept changing its hunting grounds, never staying in one place long—unless it was laying eggs!

Some herbivorous dinosaurs drank the water, then soon after leaving, collapsed. Jimmy would then approach with a mischievous grin. The consequences? Haha, they either became Jimmy's food or his next fusion target.

Worth mentioning: at one point, a herd of Triceratops came to drink water, then…

After Jimmy merged the last adult Triceratops, he felt a fiery pain on his forehead, as if something was about to erupt!

"Ah!!!" Jimmy screamed in agony. He discovered that something really was growing on his forehead!

Jimmy hurried to the pond's edge to look, and instantly felt a bittersweet emotion. His reflection was still himself, but the catch was that two long horns, like those of a Triceratops, had grown on his forehead—each about forty centimeters long.
