Chapter 7 - Echoes of Divine Power chapter 7

The storm raged on.

Kaelron and Rio stood in silence, staring at each other, rain pelting the windows.

"HEY RIO, IF I KILL YOUR GRANDMOTHER, YOU WON'T BE AGAINST IT, RIGHT?" Kaelron said suddenly, his voice sharp.

Rio replied calmly, "Kaelron, we need to stay calm, man. We still don't fully understand what they're talking about. And... I'm pretty sure my grandmother died a long time ago."

He paused, expression troubled. "But there's still one thing I don't understand."

"What don't you understand?" Kaelron asked,

"I know my brother is special somehow... but I'm certain he's not a reincarnation of the Supreme GOD." Rio's voice wavered. "And now… my friend Rayan is on the verge of dying, and here we are, talking about demons. How are we supposed to defeat them?"

"I know how it feels to lose someone you care about," Kaelron said quietly.

A memory flashed—

A younger Kaelron.

"Mom!" he said with a bright smile.

Back to the present.

Kaelron stared at the ceiling, sadness clouding

"Hey Rio... do you know why my mom died?"

Rio looked at him.

"She was killed by one of my own family members—for money," Kaelron whispered. "I managed to save my father, but..."

He clenched his fists. "Luceniel isn't here now. He's left the responsibility of your family to you. You have to take real steps, Rio, if you want to protect them."

Rio tapped his foot on the floor, deep in thought. His expression turned serious.

"Kaelron, I have a plan to find out if my grandmother is really a demon—but I'll need your help."

Kaelron raised an eyebrow. "What's the plan?"

"Tell your people to set my house on fire—only when I say so. That day, I'll take my family to the temple. If my grandmother is a demon, she won't be able to enter with us."

Kaelron narrowed his eyes. "Alright, I'll arrange it. But how are you going to convince your entire family to go to the temple with you? Sure, maybe your parents will agree—but what about your uncles, aunts, and cousins?"

"You don't need to worry about that," Rio said firmly. "Just do what I asked, and we'll find the truth."

A thunderclap shook the house.

"Stay here tonight. You don't need to go home in this storm," Kaelron said.

Rio nodded. After a pause, he asked, "Hey Kaelron… when you met my brother for the first time, how did you feel?"

Kaelron smiled faintly. "When I first heard Elunara had a boyfriend in college, I was furious. I rushed to the campus, ready to confront him... I was actually going to kill your brother that day."

He laughed lightly at the memory.

"But when I talked to Luceniel, all that rage disappeared. I was happy. Happy that Elunara had found someone . Luceniel is… very capable. I'm sure he's the recreation of a god."

He looked directly at Rio. "What do you think I am?"

Kaelron's eyes shimmered—a light, unnatural blue.

Rio's eyes widened. "Wait... how did your eye color change?"

Kaelron chuckled. "Ha ha ha… Rio, there's still a lot you don't understand. Don't worry. I'm not a god or a demon."

He placed a hand on Rio's shoulder. "Just follow my lead. Maybe one day, you'll awaken your own power."

With that, Kaelron walked upstairs to his room.

Downstairs, Rio stood in the hall, staring out the window. Thunder rolled through the dark sky.

In Kaelron's bedroom, a woman sat on the bed reading a book.

Kaelron smiled and entered. "Hey Mira, I'm home. What are you reading this time?"

She looked up, smiling softly. "Ah, Kaelron—you're back. How was your day?"

Kaelron climbed into bed beside her, wrapping her in a gentle hug. "Sorry, Mira. I came home late tonight," he said sweetly.

Back in the hall, Rio sat on the couch, holding his phone. He stared at the badge his brother had given him before leaving.

A memory flashed in his mind.

Flashback

His uncle's voice rang out: "We don't accept her. She's a—"

Luceniel cut him off, shouting, "Don't you dare!"

His eyes burned with dark red fire.

Back in the present, Rio stood up from the couch.

A maid approached and bowed. "Sir, please follow me. I'll show you to your room."

She led him upstairs and said politely, "Dinner will be served at 9 PM. Please freshen up—we've prepared clothes for you."

Meanwhile, in the 7th Heaven...

Kaelion stood before a magnificent palace. As the grand gates opened, guards bowed in respect.

Kaelion entered the throne room, where six gods were already gathered. One god, seated on a divine throne, looked at him calmly.

"Lord Kaelion, why have you arrived so late?"

Kaelion bowed and replied in a composed voice, "Forgive me, Lord Devrajya. I am late because... my son has gone missing. I'm worried about him."

Lord Orienyx leaned forward. "What happened to Viridion? He's never gone missing before. Is he alright?"

"I've told you before—don't force him to remain in the 6th Heaven. Let him explore life," .

Lord Elyndor nodded in agreement. "Yes,lord Orienyx is right. Viridion already broke through once—he gone became a 10th Dimension Being. He can even enter the 7th Heaven without your help. Your son has more potential than you realize. Don't waste it."

Kaelion bowed slightly. "Thank you, Lords Orienyx and Elyndor. I know I shouldn't restrict him. But recently… the universe have been experiencing strange phenomena."

Devrajya's tone turned grave. "We must uncover the cause. Lord Elyndor and Lord Vaelus, go to the Supreme Heaven and speak with Goddess Vedanya."

Both gods bowed deeply.

"But Lord Devrajya," Elyndor said hesitantly, "Goddess Vedanya is still in deep meditation. And if we all attempt to go to the Supreme Heaven, we won't succeed. Our powers are too weak after the war with the demons. Only you can go."

Devrajya frowned. "You're right. Without achieving 11th Dimension status, none of us can reach the Supreme Heaven. If no one breaks through soon… we may lose the Aetherwine."

Suddenly, a servant burst into the hall, trembling as he fell to his knees.

"What is it?" Devrajya asked.

The servant's voice quivered. "My lord... in the 7th hell, we've just learned—the Demon King's son… he's an 11th Dimension Being."

Gasps echoed through the chamber. All the gods' eyes went wide in disbelief.

Elsewhere—in a distant galaxy, on another Earth...

A colossal creature with the body of a titan and the head of a goat sat in a cave surrounded by countless books. His eyes were pitch black. He scribbled something into a worn journal.

Suddenly, he sensed a presence. Rising from his seat, he stepped outside and gazed up at the stars.

"It's impossible… someone's still alive on this Earth? But this galaxy is forbidden for both gods and demons."

He noticed a strange pattern in the stars and smiled calmly.

"My time has come. I will finally be free of this curse. Perhaps… in my next life, I'll be reborn as a good human."

From far away, a black shadow silently watched him.

The titan returned to his cave and continued writing.

"I still remember my human life. My child... I'm sorry. My arrogance brought me knowledge, but I never understood the value of others. Because of that arrogance, I destroyed lives—human and animal alike. Now, I sit here alone with the knowledge of the universe… and no one to share it with."

He remembered the moment he was human.

"Please… forgive me. I'll never repeat it again."

He had seen a figure—clad in pure white, holding a shining sword. But the figure had not come to forgive—only to punish.

The sword fell. His head was severed.

Present.

The monster clutched his neck, blood still dripping.

"I still don't know who replaced my head with this goat's... but ever since, I've been suffering. I've tried countless times to find my real head—so I can end myself—but I've lost count. No god… no demon… answers my prayers after what I've done."

Just then, the cave's entrance creaked open.

A figure entered—a shadow with a head in their hand.
