*Hazel's POV*
The moment my palm touched Kael's burning forehead, something inside me shifted. It was like diving into a stormy sea of his emotions—chaotic, powerful, overwhelming.
I closed my eyes, trying to focus on what I was feeling. His energy pulsed beneath my fingertips, wild yet somehow familiar. I could sense it responding to my touch, like it recognized me.
"I can feel it," I whispered, more to myself than to him.
His ragged breathing steadied slightly. "What do you feel?"
"Power. So much power." I pressed my palm more firmly against his skin. "But it's... tangled. Knotted. Like it doesn't know where to go."
Something tugged at the edges of my consciousness—an instinct I didn't understand. I followed it, imagining my own energy flowing through my hand into him. Not to fight his power, but to guide it.
"Breathe with me," I instructed, surprised by the certainty in my voice.
