I saw the storm before I heard it.
The air crackled with tension as our vehicles pulled up to the campsite. Pure dominance radiated in waves strong enough to make my wolf bristle. Liam, Orion, and Silas tensed beside me, their instincts clearly screaming the same warning as mine: apex predators at war.
"Stay back," I ordered, my Beta authority keeping them in place as I stepped forward cautiously.
The scene unfolding before me was nothing short of surreal. Kael and Seraphina stood barely ten feet apart, locked in what could only be described as a supernatural standoff. My king's tattoos writhed across his skin like living shadows. His eyes glowed molten gold, power rolling off him in waves that made the air itself feel heavy.
But the witch wasn't backing down.
