*Sera's POV*
I glided down the hallway, a smile playing on my lips. The taste of Jaxon's surrender lingered on my tongue, sweeter than any delicacy. Men like him—powerful, dominant, used to control—were always the most satisfying to unravel.
And he had unraveled so beautifully.
The memory of his trembling body beneath my hands sent a pleasant shiver through me. But I wasn't finished playing yet. Not by far.
My next target waited just a few doors down. Silas, the young wizard with too much power and too little discipline. A boy playing with forces he didn't understand.
I knocked sharply on the boys' room door. After a moment, Orion answered, his eyes widening with alarm when he saw me.
"Seraphina," he stuttered, shrinking back.
I smiled, enjoying how he cowered. "Hello, little shapeshifter. Is Silas here?"
Orion glanced nervously over his shoulder. "He's in the shower."
