'20th of February, 2007'
"Alex, Alex," shouted Alexander. "Am coming mother." Alex replied.
"I called you because you either going to tell me the truth or I disown you, pick one" Alexander said with a calm tone.
"I will tell you the truth, Mom am pregnant and the father of my baby wanted to get rid of me," Alex started crying.
"Crying won't help, so tell me wha....what do you want to do, do you want to keep and continue with your studies or get rid of the baby." Alexander asked with her serious tone.
Alex wiped her tear and asked, " what if I want to keep my baby." "Is that your final decision, once you take this decision there's no turning back." Before Alex could reply her mother said to her, "go get dressed we are going to the hospital."
"Mrs Alexander, your daughter is two weeks pregnant, her you going to let her keep the baby?" Mrs. Alexander's coworker asked looking worried.
"Since, she decided to take the step I took, who am I to stop her. Am not saying am proud of it but I don't have a choice." Mrs Alexander said looking tired.
'4th of October, 2007.'
"Will you stop stressing yourself, hope you know you due already. What are your plans once give birth?" Alexander asked her daughter with a serious tone.
"Mmph, that's a good question I plan on leaving the kids with you for four or five years, to continue with my studies, that's the only plan I have." Alex said why smiling.
"Aigoooo, are you nuts, okay.... Fine, but after your studies, what is the next plan." Alexander asked why shaking her head.
"Mother worry not and leave everything under my control." Alex said smiling.
'17th of October, 2007.'
"Congratulations girl, finally am now an aunty," Ella said in joyful mood.
"When you see my mum, give her the girls"
"Where are you off to, Alex."
"I can't face them, I don't feel like seeing them in this state, I don't know how to tell them the 18year old standing right in front of them is their mother, I don't how to tell them I gave birth to them, tell mom I will be back."
"Alex, Alex" Ella called out but to no avail.
Alex left without a trace. Ella brought the kids to Alex's home. Alexander went outside to welcome her child but to her surprise she found only Ella and her grandkids.
"Ella, where is Alex? Am I not asking you a question" Alexander asked seeing Ella crying.
"Sorry, Aun.... Aunt I couldn't stop her"
"What did you mean by that "
"Alex said, I should tell you she will be back "
Alexander didn't know what to say, she took her grandkids and invited Ella inside.
'17th October, 2012'
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to you, come on make a wish and blow your candle." Mrs. Alexander said to her grandkids in joyful mood. "Let's take pictures and send it to your mom."
