Chapter 130 - Reverse Sanos

Enrico and Yumeha pass by a shop and buy some mana recovery stones, some food, and new clothes with magical protection, since he didn't want the clothes to tear. Putting everything into two bags, each of them carried one, and after finishing buying what was necessary, both walked to Sanos Square.

"It's getting late, so this is good."

"Why, Master?"

"It has to be nighttime for us to enter the place I need to go."

At that moment, he pulled out a large paper with a symbol of a sword leaning against a heart. It seemed to have been painted with blood—in fact, it was Enrico's blood. Bit by bit, he had drawn blood from himself to create that.

'Since I developed my blood to be the best in the world after drinking that thing, maybe the result will be better than I think.'

He hid it under his foot and asked her to step on the paper as well. He had to wait until nightfall for it to work, so he could exchange a few words with Yumeha. Then he looked around and saw that there were only civilians far away, so he spoke softly.

"We are going to meet the vampires."

"What? But Master, those leeches are very dangerous for us humans."

"I know…"

He understood Yumeha's reaction, since even though the vampires might have stopped attacking humans for a while, there were still sightings of them snatching people and vanishing with them from time to time. All races had a certain aversion to vampires, and if not for the demons and the Nartheis, they would be the most hated race on the continent for what they did.

"This is very dangerous. I heard about a girl who disappeared a few days ago in the forest. The only thing left behind was the trace of their blood magic… we can't trust them, Master."

"I understand what you mean, but I need to go because we will need them for the future."

He understood the feeling, since he himself didn't like vampires, especially because they were all enemies of the protagonist of the story. He had the same sentiment, but if he could solve this problem, then everything would become better. Yumeha wrote something on the paper to show him.

'So they might help us in the future you want?'

Nodding in confirmation, Yumeha seemed to calm down. If her master believed those leeches could be useful, then she would trust him and set aside that feeling—at least until one of them attacked him.

Seeing that night was approaching, he asked her to put on the necklaces he had bought. Those necklaces could hide their scent from the vampires. They were safe but very expensive.

'Thanks again, Serenya.'

Yumeha put the necklace around her neck along with her precious Magatam necklace that her master had given her. She truly liked the festival gift.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes."

Yumeha destroyed the paper with her Yatagarasu magic, making it vanish as if it had burned away. Enrico waited for the right moment when no one would notice.

'Aren't those two?'

Two shadows were watching from afar, and when they were noticed, they hid. Enrico then took advantage of that and activated the magic on the paper. The two vanished quickly, with the paper disappearing right after.

In the original story, this had also been done by that villain. It was a magic that had to be performed to access the dimension of the vampires. When he did that, he only brought two subordinates with him, and Enrico would do the same but only with one.

'Yumeha will come with me.'

Both appeared in a city of Sanos, but in a totally different form, since the moon was red and there seemed to be no lights, only fire torches scattered among the houses.

"Master, where are we?"

"Reverse Sanos, one of the cities in the dimension of the vampires, and a place where the sun never rises."

Reverse Sanos was a dimension created by the first vampire who wanted to protect his race from the evil god Zarthoren, the God of Silent Carnage. The only problem was that when he died, he left behind his body, which would be used for Zarthoren's resurrection.

The first vampire wanted to protect his race, but he also looked at them with disappointment for being so easily taken by instinct and letting themselves be carried away. So he also placed a curse on the race that prevented them from losing control so easily, which was good. This curse came from a black necklace bound to the neck, and all vampires received one as soon as they were born. Of course, Enrico had made two identical ones for himself and Yumeha, which allowed them to disguise themselves as vampires, since vampires recognized each other by scent. But for this, he also had a plan and bought a few vials of vampire blood.

"Wait, my Ketsumei, what do you mean this was a city of vampires?"

"That's right, dear, could you explain why you came to such a dangerous place?"

"Young Master, I'd like you to give a good explanation about all this."

The two turned around and saw Rina, Yumeha, and Angela—the first two with worried looks at him, and the first one with an expression ready to scold.

"What? Don't tell me…"

He tried to understand why they would have come. The only possible explanation was that his blood had become so strong that the magical paper couldn't handle it, and instead of bringing only Yumeha, it brought everyone he was connected to.

"What's going on out there?"

"That's human blood."

"Looks like someone brought dinner."

He saw the doors of the houses opening, and several vampires began emerging from them. This meant that the mark from the paper that had hidden their presence for a few seconds was fading. His plan had been to use it so they wouldn't see them, being invisible until their bodies got used to the dimension, then leave the city and re-enter as if from another one. But they had barely arrived, and everything was already going wrong.

'Damn it.'
