Then the veins in his forehead bulged as he stomped closer to the bed, his anger seeming almost uncontrollable.
"This madness has gone too far! I've tolerated it long enough, but this?!" He jabbed his finger at her again. "This is the peak of insult, and I will not accept it. Not today, not ever!"
He then turned toward Mark, his chest heaving as he spoke through clenched teeth.
"And don't think I care that she came here under your shadow, Mr. Mark. I don't care if you brought her yourself. That doesn't give her the right to accuse me of poisoning my own brother. I won't allow it. I won't stand by and watch my honor dragged into the mud by some outsider! She cannot just say something this outrageous and walk away free. Never! That will not happen not in this house, not in this family!"
