Chapter 134 - Chapter 134: The Spores Of Dominion

Opening the doors to her throne room, she was met with three playful smirks shot at her. "Well if it isn't the queen of Redfall, should I make a bow or a curtsy?" Jarren was the first to ask, his tone playful making Guinevere's face freeze momentarily. "I'm not here to halt your games but here for your answer."

Callista inched closer to her, Guinevere aware of her intent as she felt Callista's hands wrap around her waist. "Chuu~~" The kiss deep and passionate before the two broke apart. "You're definitely getting better, however don't you think that it's tike to submit?" Her tone playful beaming a sadistic grin at Guinevere.

"I still have yet to make my final decision. However with each passing day you manage to convince me to yield." Her hands wrapped around Callista's neck bordering possessiveness. Clomere was the only one still uninterested with the game the rest indulged in.

"So you're his first." Her tone filled with wariness drawing Guinevere's attention. "And you must be his personal toy to ruin. Please it's an honor to meet you." Guinevere's tone ridiculing Clomere. A spark of conflict flickering between the two. "Come on you two, there's no need to fight over something so trivial."

Callista urged hoping to dissolve the situation. "Why would I want to be associated with this excuse of a servant? I still don't know why Jarren would bother with a girl like you." Guinevere's words turning ice. Clomere got off his lap, her gaze sharpening as she inched closer to Guinevere.

"You have had him for eternity and yet you've never appreciate him! It's sheer pity that he has to tolerate with the bullshit that you usually spit out." The topic of the conversation watched it all unfurl with no plans of stepping in. By now Clomere and Guinevere were mere inches apart.

"Does a frivolous flower bother to disturb the abyss? Unless it wishes for it's eternal misconstruct." The two were at each other's necks and Callista couldn't take it anymore. "That's enough you two. Clomere, apologize to Guinevere while darling apologize to Clomere, you know that we're all his to ruin."

Their gazes growing colder, neither wishing to yield. "I won't apologize to a woman like her!" Clomere spat, making his way to Jarren who sat with a look of intrigue etched on his visage. "Get out of my kingdom!" Jarren sick of the back and forth banter finally opted to step in.

"That's enough out of you two. Clomere, we'll start with you. " She opened her lips in outrage before pursing them shortly after. "I'm..." Her tone still hostile to Guinevere. "... fucking sorry bitch for calling you what you are!" Guinevere's face turned to that of apathy as she faced Jarren. "Is this one your games again?"

Jarren's smile deepened making her skin crawl. "You're growing sharper Orsen however this isn't a game I willingly chose to throw at you. I'm nothing more than a spectator, isn't that right Callista?" The lady between the two ladies was caught off guard.

"Why am I being involved? A cat of all things. I just want to sleep but your shouting definitely won't make it any better so I have to silence you two." Jarren pocketed his hands, his figure making for the exit. "Whatever game you two want to play, have at it. Just make sure that you don't hurt each other." His gaze landed on Guinevere.

"I can't keep any promises." Jarren didn't bother anymore as he left the scene. The air fell to ice chilling degrees. "Since you are a horror, why are you still bothering with the regular means of rising Redfall to glory when you can cheat?" Clomere posed, her mind eager to leave the topic behind.

"What would a person like you know about ruling and governance?" Guinevere shot back. "I don't have to be a strategist to know that horrors can bend the game to their will so why not do it. If you want to savour the madness of the game then we can take our time."

A silence filled the air however it wasn't as cold. "What are you suggesting?" Clomere tilted her head in thought. "How about control? Mind control that is. With a snap of your fingers I'm sure that you could make it happen." Callista who remained on standby to defuse the next meltdown heard Jarren's words echoing in her head.

"Come on kitty, it's time for some new tricks." Without a second thought, her figure vanished from the room. "Callista! How could you just leave me like that?!" Guinevere playfully mused, Clomere watching it all happen with no indulgence.

"I'm sure that my spores could be of some help to you. However with this I'll have to crawl into some hovel and watch the rest of it unfold. The spotlight's not meant for me." Her tone twisting from icy to flat. "Honestly I'm sure that you wouldn't look that great even if you tried. Best to save the world from staring at your face.

Her words not malicious but rather playful. Clomere clicked her tongue with annoyance. "Just make your decision fast and submit already. Or I'll force you to." Guinevere let out a ridiculing laughter at her words. "It would seem that you've never experienced actual hardship with a tone like that. And it pains me that you won't either at his hands."

For her Callista was tolerable, charming to some extent but Clomere was an entirely different ballgame entirely for her. 'As much as I want to kill her, equivalent to a cockroach she'll crawl right back up ' Clomere's opinion of her wasn't any different. 'I can't believe that this bitch wouldn't yield to my darling of a tyrant.'

Her figure flashed appearing elsewhere, Clomere relaying her plan in Guinevere's head.

"Why didn't you stop the two as they were about to go up in arms? Or does the sight of women going at it satisfy some twisted desire of yours?" Jarren beamed a smile, innocent and aloof as his figure lay callously sprawled on the bed. "Well it is quite pleasing to watch the two interact with each other with no guards. Helps them get their edge off."

Callista narrowed her eyes, her figure crashing next to his. Her silky ash hair scattered all over, a feral smile flashing on her face as she locked her transparent gray eyes with his starry obsidian. The air went silent, her heart beat slowing down to the point if any lower she would pass out.

"You really do have calming eyes. Never thought the beads I grew wary off would be so reassuring and calming." A smile forming on her face. "I never thought that my cat would be so lazy and so hardworking at the came time." She grabbed a pillow and threw it at his face.

He didn't bother blocking it. "Well I wouldn't be working if you kept your end of the deal. You still have to spend the rest of the year with me but you've spent it with Clomere. Just for that you need to spend two more years." Jarren laughed at her shamelessness.

"I didn't know that you would be greedy as well. However there's nothing wrong with your request. It's Clomere that should be a problem." His hand landed on her forehead and lightly caressed it. She let his palm lovingly stroke her cheek as he landed a kiss on her lips. "Chuu~~" The kiss short and brisk. "Do you mind for a nap? I'm tired from Clomere's games."

Her slumber was enough as the two snuggled up. His hand drew her closer, a satisfied grin subconsciously forming on her lips. "Chuu~~" He landed kiss on her forehead, ruffling her kept hair eliciting guttural purrs from her. "Sleep well, my little kitty." He whispered as he let sleep overcome him.

A neighboring kingdom close to Redfall, it's name Sarth came to be. It's progress in comparison to the rest was average in more ways than one however with Redfall facing attacks from the abominations, it was one of the few kingdoms that faced free protection thanks to Callista. It's size considerably smaller than Redfall however for Clomere, it was enough.

Her figure hovered over the kingdom, a look of contempt flashing on her face.

*Snap*

A wave of spores rained all over the lands tainting the water and lands alike. The king similar to it's residence remained aloof with the threat that drifted ever so casually in their air and planted in their sustenance. Clomere wasn't in a rush as she watched the kingdom slowly fall into decay.

Three days after and all the waters flowed green, farmers began to holler about beings above the veil of reality. A day passed by, priests began to worship the queen of mycelium and rot and in a week's time they entire kingdom was in her palms. The king for her entertainment walked stark and the people in the streets merely cheered as they took tore off their clothes.

Done with her games, her figure reappeared back in Redfall. "There, an entire kingdom for your molding. I'm sure that you should find something of great interest there." Her voice indifferent as she took her leave. "Jarren left two days ago with Callista, maybe you should learn to grow some distance away from him. Your addiction is showing."

Clomere looked over her shoulder, her brows furrowing. "I don't need some bitch like you to be telling me what to do." And with that she took her leave. 'This girl...' Guinevere clutched her temples, already dreading of the scene to come with her. 'Did you intentionally choose her to taunt me Jarren?'

She couldn't help but wonder as she drew a long exhausted sigh. 'Well then let's get things going, shall we?' Her voice filled with anticipation as reality began to distort at her fingertips. The air around her twisted and turned in a manner that shouldn't as she began to take over the minds of the people of Sarth.

'Did she try to make it hard for me for what? Spite?' She recognized the array Clomere had set up, not that of security but with the sole reason of taking a hit of her patience and goodwill. 'Still, at the end of it all, it was nothing more than a childish game to her. 'If you wish to compete then you'll have to do better than that.'

"My king, so far we haven't received any notifications whatsoever about Redfall however Callista and Jarren's figures are hard to find. Some stating that they're lurking about while others deducing that they are in seclusion." Atherion let out a bitter sigh, his mind recalling the humiliation his daughter had to endure.

"And what of my daughter? Does she expect me to simply ignore the damage Jarren has inflicted on my only daughter?" His tone seething with rage. His need for revenge burnt brighter with each passing day. He found the notification ridiculing and at the conference before he could ask about his daughter Guinevere stood up and left.

"It's a miracle that they have managed to survive for this long however that won't be the same for the coming days." Atherion chucked as he pictured the fall of Redfall. The streets overrun with angered citizens as Guinevere broke into a fit of rah before surrendering to the confederate board.

*One week later*

"What do you mean they've been able to recoup their losses?" James posed looking at the screen at hand. On it detailed the growing economy of Redfall from shambles to that of a better state. "But that's impossible, with no other human kingdoms aiding her that would leave the elves, dwarves and the demons."

He sunk back into his seat, stroking his chin in contemplation. "The elves usually don't partake in human relations however with her rank, it would be probable for them to compromise." However the more he thought about this, the more illogical it seemed.

"With the death of many elites and the gaping power vacuum, it would be foolish for them to relate themselves with such a strong opponent like her." With this deduction he ruled out the elves. "Dwarves, though indifferent have made deals and compromised for Calledra. It wouldn't be too shocking for them to ally themselves with such a strong person."

However his eyes narrowed at the realization of something out of place. "Dwarves are skilled in produce and machinery however the question is, where did she get the money for it? Trading the resources with other kingdoms wouldn't yield such profits."
