I was sitting and reading the reports of demons attacking, it was my 3rd day after becoming a slayer. I had just completed writing a report on the lower demon I killed , so that the corps can review the data and find more about Muzan.
Kaidi entered the room and sat on me.
" Wow that was sudden, I was just gonna go for a round, Giyuu san, Shinobu san and Gyomei san wanted to meet me"
" Well I just wanted to give you, this."
She handed me a beaded bracelet, which she said would act as a protective amulet,
I wore it without hesitation and proceeded to pull out the butterfly necklace out of my pocket.
I put it one her and I saw a tear fall down her face, I kissed it on her cheek.
" As long as I'm there, there would be always a person to admire you."
I then proceeded to meet Gyomei san, after Kaidi left.
" Rai, I called you for a specific test that I wanna see you attempting. I think you could pass it, but I just want to asses your strength level"
I nodded, he asked me to push a boulder, a huge spherical boulder, just about 12 feet. He said if needed help, I should incantate meditative shlokas and concentrate on my muscles.
I went towards the boulder, removed my katana, gloves and haori. Rolled up my sleeves and put both my hand on the boulder. I pushed it with as ease someone would push a regular coal cart down a mountain.
Gyomei san looked quite happy on seeing that.
" Anything else "
" Nope you can proceed with your work"
While leaving, I saw Kaidi, so I gave her a quick kiss and went ahead to meet Shinobu san.
She looked very very very eerie. She had called me to ask if a specific drug she had bought had my name on it, so it was mine really, or was it just someone with my name as a pseudo name.
She was astonished after my entire explanation of my buisness and the way I made my antidotes, medicines and poisons too, as she noticed Me having Akira so yes. I have now made an official science fan.
We were totally indulged in making different combinations of wisteria poisons for her breathing technique the whole day, I asked Kaidi to get me my drink, as she was the only person who knew how to make it.
I got out and did my daily training till nighttime when I remembered something, Giyuu san asked to meet me.
It got dark by the time I looked for Giyuu san, as he had asked for me.
"RAIJIN KAMINARI, HEAD TO MOUNT NAGATAMO URGENTLY YOU HAVE BEEN SUMMONED"
A crow loudly yelled. Without thinking , I rushed without thought. I whistled for Akira and Kagure. Kagure showed me directions as I asked Akira to lead.
After a while I reached the mountain. I entered, and after walking to the spot, I knew why the corps called for me. There were too many corpses. Which were tied by a very thin string, which looked like a spiders web, but the string was very strong.
I proceeded further into the forest, it looked like I was late, very much, since there was already broken trees and two demons were dead. I had received intel from Kagure on the way.
I heard Akira bark. I ran to his position and saw a spider , with a human head attacking a yellow haired kid . Without a second though, I used the first form and easily cut off its head as it was too far and reached the kid.
" Oh you're the kid that Jigoro sama trained"
" What?! Who are you? How do you know gramps?"
" Breathe zenitsu, the poisons spreading, wait."
I healed him quickly by giving him an antidote, a universal antidote I made for lethal insect venoms, but it didn't work.
I then combined it with a wisteria poison antidote and it successfully worked.
Shinobu san then arrived on the spot.
" Took you quite a while"
" Yeah don't worry now, im gonna manage everything"
I then striked up a convo with Zenitsu, I realized he can't use thunder Breathing since he's always so scared, even though he's very strong. I told him to wait there, the corps would come and take him.
' I should train him, he will be really strong ' I thought as I gave Akira treats and then followed him through the trees into the forest.
I came across the slayers sent by the corps to the mountain and saw them tied up by the strings. I with a swish movement, freed them all. I proceeded to dash through the mountain, burning away literally anything that came in my path as I reached a spot from where I heard crying.
I saw Giyuu standing beside a demon head completely ignoring it as a very familiar red head crouching near it.
" Yo giyuu san wanted to talk? Sorry I'm late, I got the info late, blame my crow"
" Look at the boy, you'll get why I called for you"
I nodded with a shrug- and then I saw the kid.
"Tanjiro? You?"
Shinobu san came and then turned the situation suddenly by blaming tanjiro for homing a demon . She quickly grabbed a nearby box.
" Raijin sama! That's Nezuko! Please I can explain"
Idk what kicked in me, I rushed to Shinobu
" Let us hear him out, please Shinobu, I know this kid, take things with patience. Kanao, breathe, wait."
Kanao was going to attack Tanjiro.
I let Tanjiro explain everything to me. I opened the box to see Nezuko, except with bamboos in her mouth. Obviously I recognise the girl, kamados and we were really close. I hugged Nezuko and then Tanjiro. I felt sad for whatever happened.
" But Raijin, we have to explain to the corps so we can't just put a demon inside Ubuyashiki estate can we?"
I nodded, then I told Shinobu to tie Tanjiro up, and asked Tanjiro to co-operate as he had violated rules, but even me as an Hashira have to oblige with them.
I asked Shinobu to take Tanjiro and Nezuko with care to the corps , as the crows would have already informed the hashiras everything. Dawn was just 3 hours away, and Shinobu and Kanao left. It will take time for Hashiras to gather. Tanjiro would obviously become unconscious, taken the toll he has taken.
I headed to meet Zenitsu.
" Thank you Raijin, sorry, I was rude back then."
" It's ok, no worries, let's head back to help the corps to packup, we have to then write the formalities and report back too"
Giyu nodded and we went towards the huge area where I found Zenitsu. I noticed something. He had used Thunder Breathing, I smelt the thunder , obviously, I'm a user, probably the strongest currently.
I asked the nearby corps members on what happened. The spider demon had turned many humans to spiders using the poison, but seeing me, the spiders hid, so when the spiders saw corps member arrived, they went ahead and tried to attack, but Zenitsu got scared but he went into some unconscious stage and used the style to kill them all.
I was impressed. I saw him tired and unconscious. I helped the corps members to take him to the estate.
On the way back to the estate, I chatted with giyu, and found about his Sensei and Tanjiro training under the same. He told me Tanjiro could use 2 breathing styles, which made me suspicious, because that wasn't possible, because one breathing style is made for our body, and our body adapts to that only.
We reached the estate, reported back to Master , and went ahead to clear out our formalities.
