A few minutes later, Su Yang brought Haruno back to her bedroom.
Haruno was still in a daze.
This ability… feels way too familiar.
"…That was Kamui, wasn't it?"
As the older sister, she naturally took it upon herself to understand her "future brother,in,law's" background, even if unofficially.
After all, she'd learned that Su Yang got his initial success by publishing a manga called Naruto. Curiosity had gotten the better of her.
Not only had she read it, she'd gotten hooked.
She even admitted to pestering him for updates several times.
After cashing in on Naruto, Su Yang had slowed down his updates. It hadn't even reached the Fourth Great Ninja War yet.
But that ability?
Haruno recognized it instantly.
That's Kamui. No doubt about it.
"You… You based Naruto on your own power?"
Haruno looked at him, wide,eyed.
Su Yang stayed silent.
In this situation, what was he even supposed to say?
Forget it. Not worth explaining.
His silence only confirmed Haruno's suspicions.
"Then how strong are you really?" she asked.
Su Yang scratched his head.
I can't just casually say I'm Kage,level, right?
But it didn't matter. He had a perfect point of comparison.
"You know Gojo Satoru, right?"
"The strongest sorcerer in the jujutsu world?" Haruno blinked. "Don't tell me… you're on the same level as him?"
"Please," Su Yang scoffed, waving his hand.
"I could one,shot that guy."
Haruno's eyes widened in disbelief.
"I met him just a couple days ago," Su Yang continued, unfazed.
"I originally wanted to ask about the location of the Star Religious Group, but considering his relationship with Suguru Geto, I figured he'd keep his mouth shut. Didn't want me killing his friend."
"So naturally… I thought of you instead. No need to ask outsiders when you've got someone on the inside."
On the inside?
Haruno's heart fluttered slightly at his choice of words.
Still…
Su Yang can one, shot Gojo Satoru?
That was hard to believe.
She'd once seen a Special Grade Cursed Spirit firsthand and knew how terrifying they were.
But Gojo?
He could casually flick those things out of existence.
Yet Su Yang said he could kill Gojo instantly?
"Seems like I don't know the real you at all, Yang, kun…" she murmured.
She didn't realize how her tone had softened, like a girlfriend upset that her boyfriend kept secrets.
"Don't worry," Su Yang smiled. "One day, I'll show you the full picture."In every possible way.
He quickly shifted the topic back:
"So? The Star Religious Group. Where are they?"
Haruno didn't hesitate this time. She gave him their exact location.
Su Yang nodded, satisfied, and immediately disappeared.
If not for the urgent need to rack up simulation points, he really would've stayed longer.
After all, this was Haruno Yukinoshita in her 'nightwear mode.'
A rare sight.
But…
There'll be plenty of chances from now on. Maybe even daily.
Watching him vanish using Kamui, Haruno stood there, stunned for a moment.
Even after experiencing it firsthand, it still felt unreal.
So this man that mother hand, picked… he's part of the supernatural world too?
Wait a second…
If that's true… doesn't it mean he might actually be marrying me?
That thought left her feeling strangely… off.
Though she didn't notice the faint trace of happiness in her heart.
The Yukinoshita family had always been a matriarchal house. Men were often pushed to the sidelines or into branch families.
In this generation, the mantle of headship had fallen on Haruno.
She had been selected to represent the family in dealings with the supernatural.
Her younger sister, Yukino, was meant to handle the public and mundane affairs.
If Su Yang had just been a normal man, she would've stayed uninvolved.
But now?
He's anything but ordinary.
"Whatever. I'll let Mom deal with this headache."
With that, Haruno turned and left the room.
This needed to be reported.
Ten minutes later, in Mrs. Yukinoshita's room,
After listening to Haruno's explanation, the elegant matriarch's brows furrowed.
"Are you sure that boy Su Yang possesses such immense power?"
"I can't say for sure, but he let me experience it myself," Haruno replied.
"Mother, have you ever heard of Kamui?"
"…Kamui? What's that?"
Mrs. Yukinoshita knew nothing about Naruto, except that it was the manga that made Su Yang rich.
As expected.
"I can't explain it well, but simply put, it's a space, based ability," Haruno continued.
"It lets the user phase into space, teleport instantly, and… possibly use space itself to crush their enemies."
She paused, then added carefully:
"Oh, and he said he could one, shot Gojo Satoru."
That last line was all Mrs. Yukinoshita needed to hear.
"Can he kill Gojo Satoru instantly? Are you sure?"
Her expression finally shifted, this was a serious matter.
"You know I've always had a good eye for people," Haruno said confidently.
"I can tell when someone's lying, and he wasn't. Besides, I felt it."
"He even said he met Gojo two days ago."
Two days ago?
Mrs. Yukinoshita's eyes sharpened.
She'd heard whispers about disturbances in the jujutsu world starting yesterday.
Now it made sense.
Gojo had encountered a real threat.
She didn't doubt her daughter's intuition either.
The Yukinoshita women were known for their innate sixth sense.
In fact, the moment she saw Su Yang at a party, her instincts had screamed at her, bring this man into the family.
At the time, she thought he was just a future business tycoon.
Clearly, she had underestimated him.
But then…
Her gaze fell back to Haruno, the tone suddenly turning stern.
"Haruno, it seems that in praising your talents all these years, I may have allowed you a bit too much freedom…"
…and your behavior has started to stray from what's appropriate.
"…Wait, what?!"
Haruno blinked, thrown completely off.
Weren't we talking about Su Yang? How did this become about me?
She didn't understand her mother's sudden change of subject, until the next line landed like a hammer.
"I don't recall ever teaching you that it was acceptable to meet with a man late at night, dressed like that… even if he is your future husband."
Dressed like, ?!
Haruno instinctively looked down at herself.
And froze.
Oh god… I was wearing… nothing?!
She mentally collapsed.
No wonder that little bastard kept looking at me funny. I should've noticed!
Her cheeks burned in frustration.
I'm definitely getting back at him for this. Just you wait.
As for her mother's final line?
She wasn't surprised at all.
So she's already decided I'll be the one to marry him…
But that brought up another problem.
What about Yukino?
There's no way I'm letting that little bastard really end up with both of us… right?
