When the duel is only half a step away to begin. The first one to challenge Gildarts is Natsu, after all, with patience as thin as paper, how can someone like Natsu can wait any longer?

This is why, Zack left Gildarts and Natsu at the inner ring of the training ground and joined with the others at the outer ring of the training ground.

One might wonder, what the point to make this duel such a big deal?

After all, the chances of either Natsu or Zack winning against a monster like Gildarts, is less than 0.00001%, in other words, a pointless duel to make such a big ordeal of.

And yet, maybe that is just how things are within this guild. This whole ordeal of this duel could just be an excuse for this chaotic guild to drink and bet, entertainment for the members of the Guild.

Or it also could be that is how Gildarts is.

No matter how minor or major any duel may seem to be, Gildarts took on any challenge seriously, as a sign of respect for someone as adventurous as Gildarts, to another challenger like himself.

Or perhaps, it something else, like the curiosity Gildarts has towards the abilities of a certain Magic system that could be on pair with his Crush Magic when it comes to how destructive it can be.

And if that reason is true, this explains why the duel is taking place outside the Fairy Building itself.

As they are many barriers and wards within the Fairy Building, those barriers are only in certain places, like the library and such.

That is why, Gildarts took this opportunity to bring the duel at the training ground, that located behind the Guild due to the barriers that the training ground has.

"Come on, Natsu!"

Gildarts shouted, officially beginning this fated one-sided duel, causing not only Natsu to grin and rushed towards Gildarts, but also cheers from the spectators also began, as they watched how this one-sided duel will play out.

When Natsu came before strongest known within the Guild. Natsu suddenly leaped into the air, and while in the air, his left leg began to be burst into flames, as they coated around Natsu's left leg, only for this flaming leg to lash towards Gildarts.

Upon seeing this flaming kick, Gildarts simply grinned and remain in place.

He shown no intentions to move, no desires to either dodge or block the incoming flaming kick, that could easily heavily wound average Wizards or C-Class Monsters.

Instead, Gildarts took on this flaming kick head on.

With no Magic, no Magic Item, Gildarts simply let the flaming kick hit his bare body, with no tricks at all, as the flaming kick impacted onto his body.

When Natsu's flaming legs hit Gildarts, they blasted with flames, and yet, even if the flames blasted, with enough force to kill a normal person, or wound even the average Wizard, there were no signs of any damage or burnt on Gildarts' body.

Nor did Gildarts even moved an inched where he stood, showing even in face of a power that rivals any C-Class firepower, it was nothing to this unmoveable pillar, who simply stood still, and took the flaming blast kick with no trick or Magic at all.

"Hahaha, you had grown, that's for sure. But Natsu! You better have more than in store than just this!" Gildarts went with a grin, and with no Magic, just with simple pure strength, Gildarts lightly grabbed the leg that had kicked him, and with his monstrous strength, he then tossed the young Dragon Slayer away several meters away!

But Natsu's talent in hand to hand combat is not monstrous level for nothing. Even as he sent flying away, Natsu still somehow managed to land onto his feet and stabilize his stance as he soon he landed onto the ground.

"Hahaha, of course, that is not all!" Natsu went with a joyful battle manic grin of his own, and then coated both of his legs in flames, and blasted the ground under his feet, and rapidly blasted towards Gildarts with speed that only those at B-Class or above can follow.

Natsu with rocketed speed, Natsu rapidly came before Gildarts, who simply grinned, as he watches as Natsu coated his arms in flames, and folded them in a X-shape, showing all intentions to rammed into Gildarts like a raging bull.

It was an ingenious way of attacking, the burst of speed did not just allow the young Dragon Slayer to came to Gildarts quickly but even allowed an attack that capable of destroying walls, to even smash through houses.

And yet, Gildarts is not known as the destroyer of walls and doors for nothing, as he simply, yet again with no Magic, parried the ramming flaming attack with his bare left arm, effortlessly blocked an attack that even B-Class above average Wizards would be wary of.

Natsu's eyes widen, when he saw his ramming attack was not just blocked, but completely halted in mid-air, this caused all of the burst speed to lose itself, and before Natsu could fell back to the ground, Gildarts used the arm that had blocked his ram attack, and casually bashed Natsu away!

Natsu who bashed away from Gildarts by his monstrous strength, was sent flying within the air, sending Natsu dozens of meters high in the ground.

Gildarts, who sent Natsu flying, widen his eyes, realising within the heat of the moment, he might used too much strength to bash this Dragon Slayer away, causing this light not so dangerous duel, into a deadly one.

While it is true, that Magic Power can increased the strength of one's body, and Dragon Slayers in general has stronger bodies compared to normal Wizards, even if they do not physically train their body.

But that does not change the sole fact, even if Natsu is Dragon Slayer, who has greater physical strength compared to those at the same level as himself. Natsu is not physically strong enough to survive a fall over tens of meters within the sky!

Upon knowing this, Gildarts was about to leap into the air, and catch Natsu before he became mincemeat. However, before Gildarts could prevent Natsu from falling into the ground, and becoming a child murderer, someone else soared through the sky, and catch Natsu before he fell to the ground.

This was no other than Happy, who helped Natsu back to the ground.

"Hahaha, thanks pal, damned I thought I was a goner!" Natsu went, patting Happy's head, who sighed at the carefreeness of this young Dragon Slayer.

"You almost became a flatten pancake, Natsu… Why not give up…? This duel is pointless, there no way you can win this, Natsu." Happy went with a worried expression.

"Hahaha, don't anyone know that? But is that the whole point? It is not every day I get to challenge someone as powerful as Gild, and who knows, I may get lucky and win!" Natsu went with a hearty laugh, causing not just Happy, but most that also overheard them, to look at Natsu with deadpan expressions.

"No-no-no, no matter how anyone sees this Natsu, not even luck will be able to beat a monster like Gild!" Happy went with a very serious expression.

"Hay! I am 100% human, you know!" Gildarts went overhearing them. But the duo ignored Gildarts' comment.

"Not to mention… even if I cannot win against Gild, there still another win in this duel, who can last the longest, right?" Natsu went with a grin, showing he has taken noticed about the bet between himself and Natsu.

For someone who loved to fight, how can this young battle manic Dragon Slayer back down on another kind of challenge here?

Even if Natsu knew he has no chance against a monster like Gildarts, least he can beat Zack, by outlasting him in this duel between them and Gildarts.

"Y-You actually knew about the bets going on?"

On the other hand, Happy is shocked, it not like this whole betting thing is well hidden.

But this is Natsu we talking about here, he is someone who normally takes little interest in his surroundings, unless he either bored or serious.

This is the reason why Happy became shocked that Natsu knew about this bet.

"Yeah, that is why I had to win, right? Especially since, you had bet on me, right?" Natsu went, as he flashed a confident smile at his partner, who stood frozen looking at Natsu.

After all… while it is true Happy has placed a bet. But… it wasn't on Natsu.

"A-Aye sir! O-Of course I did! W-Why would I bet on another else, but you!?" Happy went with a forced smile while sweating between his fur.

"Happy?" Natsu went, feeling something wrong with the way Happy said that.

"We-Well… we cannot keep Gildarts waiting, can we!!" Happy went, flying away into the crowd, or more like, running away like some kind of criminal that about to be caught.

Luckily enough for Happy, Natsu is quite dense, causing the teenager to blink his eyes, not understanding why Happy has run away like that for.

"Hey Natsu, while I like bounding moments and all. But you did not forget about our little bout, right?" Gildarts' went from behind Natsu, causing the young Dragon Slayer to failed to notice a hulking shadow overcoating his own body until now.

Natsu acted quickly and used his Fire Dragon Slayer Magic to blasted with a wave of flames, to blast himself away from the hand, that was about to grab Natsu's head.

This caused Natsu to distance himself from Gildarts several meters at that.

"It is good I got your whole attention back to myself, and I am sorry for getting a little carried away, but even so, Natsu, I think it is time to end this, don't you think?"

From the moment Gildarts said this, Natsu's eyes widen, as he saw Gildarts vanished from his spot.

But in reality, that wasn't really true, Gildarts did not vanish, he simply ran forward, with speed that Natsu and most of the Guild unable to keep track of, and made his way in front of Natsu, as if he just teleported himself there, even if that is a lie.

Natsu's black eyes widen behind his pink spiky hair, as he failed in time to avoid Gildarts, who grabbed the young Dragon Slayer by the head, only to slammed Natsu's face into the ground!

And just like that, Natsu once again, became a nail into the ground, knocking him out at the same time.

It properly will take half an hour or more for this overhyped Dragon slayer to wake up again.

"Sorry Natsu, but maybe I am also as impatience as yourself." Gildarts went in a small voice, seeing the young Dragon Slayer has been knocked out, and took Natsu out of the ground, and carried him towards Zack and the others.

To be honest, Gildarts thought of letting Natsu hit him few more times. However, his patience is way too short, especially when he is too curious about what Zack wanted to overcome, as well to see firsthand of the Magic systems, as well this strange martial arts that he only heard of so far.

That is why he ended the duel with Natsu shorter than he originally planned to.

"So, how long was the fight?" Gildarts asked one of his guild mates, and also offer Natsu to him, who took the 14 year old boy, and told Gildarts the result.

"47.2 seconds." Went the member of the guild, showing the Magic Item, that looked like a stopwatch to Gildarts. (AN: I feel it should be shorter…)

"I see, well, Zack, it's your turn next." Gildarts said this, with a grin, leaving the knocked out Natsu and that guild mate side, and returned to the inner ring of the training ground.

Zack only nodded his head and took a long sigh as he walked towards the inner ring of the training ground.

But as soon he came near Gildarts, Zack, no just Zack, but everyone in the guild, besides those that expected this. Looked in surprise, when a barrier formed between the inner and outer rings of the training ground.

"This…?" Zack went with confusion, sensing and seeing the barrier around him and Gildarts.

"Oh this, this is something that even most SS-Class Wizards will find hard to crack, a barrier, so don't worry about holding back, and show me Zack, what you want to overcome!"

Gildarts went with a grin, as his blue eyes flashed with curiosity as he looked at the blueish black haired young man before him.
