Chapter 185 - Chapter 185: Princess Tsunade's Ambition!

Chapter 185: Princess Tsunade's Ambition!

Granddaughter of the First and Second Hokage, student of the Third, summoner of Shikkotsu Forest... in this era, with the god-like figures of the past gone, when it came to "family inheritance," if Princess Tsunade claimed to be number two, no one would dare claim to be number one. Not even Kushina Uzumaki, who had inherited most of the Uzumaki clan's sealing arts. Before she had inherited anything, Mito Uzumaki—a master of fuinjutsu—had already married into the Senju clan.

So, could Tsunade provide the "sufficient Wood Style data" she claimed? Absolutely.

Faced with this display of overwhelming "wealth," Keisuke would be lying if he said he wasn't tempted.

"I would love to say 'I can replicate Wood Style'," Keisuke said, taking a deep breath to resist the temptation of her family fortune. He calmly explained, "But research into a Kekkei Genkai can't be solved just by piling up scrolls. Of course... having sufficient data on Wood Style would certainly help the research."

Tsunade nodded, very satisfied with his honest answer. If Wood Style were really that easy to replicate, the ninja world wouldn't have had only her great-uncle as its sole master. But now, there were these bizarre White Zetsu... 'I really don't know how those freaks got their hands on it,' she mused, thinking back to the creature that had used the Wood Dragon technique. But she pushed the thought aside.

"Then I have one last question," Tsunade said, staring at him, her bright brown eyes seeming to bore straight into his soul. "Nara, exactly how deep does your research into Kekkei Genkai go?"

"I can answer that question, even though it concerns one of my deepest secrets..." Keisuke took a step closer, his face near hers, their breaths mingling. "But Tsunade, are you truly prepared to probe my secrets?"

In response, Tsunade leaned forward, her soft pink lips brushing his like a dragonfly skimming water. "Is that answer satisfactory?"

"It would be even better if you did it again," Keisuke said, already pressing his luck. He backed off under her warning glare, conceding with a sigh.

"I have already researched and successfully mastered four elemental Kekkei Genkai."

"Mhm..." Tsunade nodded absently, then froze. She must have kissed him too hard; her brain was low on oxygen and had short-circuited. "Nara," she said, shaking her head, "I'm sorry, I didn't quite hear you."

"Four Kekkei Genkai," Keisuke repeated, holding up his hand and ticking them off on his fingers. "First, Scorch Release. Second, Explosion Release. Third, Lava Release. And finally, Boil Release."

He held nothing back, revealing the full breadth of his research.

"How is that possible?" Tsunade instinctively wanted to deny it. What he was saying was simply beyond the scope of any ninja's comprehension. "How can one person master so many bloodline limits?"

In response, Keisuke simply created several Shadow Clones. In front of her very eyes, they each demonstrated one of the four distinct chakra natures: Scorch, Explosion, Lava, and Boil.

Seeing the proof with her own eyes, Tsunade was left in a state of profound shock. Her cherry-red lips parted in disbelief, wide enough to fit an egg.

"You said your chakra natures were Yang, Water, Fire, Lightning, and Earth, correct?" Keisuke asked. He glanced at his clones, who understood and retrieved three scrolls from the lab.

"Water and Fire fuse to create Boil Release. Fire and Earth fuse to create Lava Release and Explosion Release. Considering your 'wish' to confront Orochimaru yourself, I recommend Lava Release. A torrent of scorching magma should be enough to incinerate his blood before it even has a chance to spill."

"Lava... and Explosion... and Boil..." Tsunade stared at the scrolls, swallowing hard. "Nara... you researched and figured all of these out?"

"Of course... not all of them," Keisuke said, deliberately dragging out his words to give her a moment to recover. "For example, I only succeeded in mastering Boil Release with the guidance of the Five-Tails."

"The Five-Tails?!" Tsunade looked at him as if he were insane. "Why is the Five-Tails suddenly part of this? Isn't that Iwagakure's Tailed Beast?"

"Did you not know I captured its Jinchuriki on the front lines?" Keisuke gave her a strange look. "The Five-Tails is about to be renamed 'Nara'."

For some reason, Tsunade felt an overwhelming urge to curse. "The Five-Tails, Boil Release, Lava Release, Explosion Release... those are all signature abilities of Iwagakure! Nara, what exactly were you doing on the front?!" Then she remembered. "And Scorch Release! What about that? Isn't that Pakura of Sunagakure's technique?"

"As a matter of fact, ahem..." Keisuke coughed, looking away slightly. "Pakura has been part of the Nara clan for a while now."

Perhaps because her brain had been flooded with too much shocking information in such a short time, Tsunade failed to grasp the deep, personal meaning behind his words. She just felt lost. Completely lost. This was still Kikyo Castle, right? This was still the Third Great Ninja War? Why did she suddenly feel like the entire era had changed without her?

"Nara... are you using genjutsu on me again?"

"Why would I be using genjutsu on you right now?" He held out the Lava Release scroll. "If you really doubt me, just open the scroll and read it. Elemental Kekkei Genkai are both complex and simple. It's just about combining two different nature transformations into a new one. You have both Fire and Earth natures. With your precise chakra control, you should be able to learn Lava Release very quickly."

One wave of shock hadn't even passed before the next one hit.

"So, you didn't just master them, you figured out the fusion method for them?" Tsunade numbly accepted the scroll. "Just like Iwagakure's Dust Release? These are all learnable, inheritable techniques now?"

"Isn't that obvious?" Keisuke replied. "If I hadn't figured out the precise fusion methods, how could I have mastered so many?"

"But... but..." Tsunade stammered, unable to form a complete sentence.

"Do you need me to help you calm down?" he asked pointedly.

"No! I don't!" she reacted instantly. She gripped the scroll in her hand, her voice suddenly trembling with excitement. "Nara! Do you have any idea what these four scrolls mean for Konoha?"

"You're still thinking about Konoha at a time like this?" Keisuke reached out and pressed a finger to her forehead. "Are you really that naive? I'm showing these to you so that you can learn them, not so you can donate them to the village. Or did you want to hand-deliver my research to Orochimaru and Danzō and give them a power-up?"

Tsunade, who had been about to argue, instantly snapped her mouth shut. She saw Konoha as her home, but it seemed not everyone saw her as Konoha's princess.

"I respect your will to protect the village," Keisuke said, softening his tone. "But if you really want to make a contribution, you need to be the one in that seat first, right?" He guided her, like coaxing a child. "How about this: if you become the Fourth Hokage, I'll give you all four scrolls as an inauguration gift. Then you can decide what to do with them however you want. How does that sound?"

"Me? Fourth Hokage?" Tsunade shook her head in disgust. "I would never! Only an idiot would want that job! But..." A new thought suddenly struck her. "Nara, do you want to be the Fourth Hokage? With your reputation, your strength, your contributions in the war, and these scrolls... I think you have a very good shot!"

Keisuke gave her a deadpan look. "...So I'm the 'idiot' you were just talking about?"

"Well, if not the Fourth, the Fifth would also work!" she said, suddenly very excited by the idea of "raising a Hokage."

But Keisuke had no desire to continue this conversation. Who the hell would want that job? He gestured to the scroll in her hand. "Do you want to learn Lava Release or not?"

Tsunade snapped out of her fantasy. She looked at the scroll, and then back at him. "Nara, since you've figured out all these Kekkei Genkai... does that mean you can figure out Wood Style, too?"

"I can only say it's a possibility."

"That's enough!" She tossed the Lava Release scroll back to him.

"Lava Release? I'm not learning that! I'm learning Wood Style!"
