Ellipse

[This chapter will serve as a register for the world of the novel. It is a Game-Like World, to be concise... hehe, and there might be little spoilers.]

— General Information:

♠ The Mark of Ellipse

The Mark of Ellipse is a born mark that appears once a person is born, usually designed to appear on any part of the body, but specifically meant for the rich—children of the rich.

During maturation, usually around sixteen to eighteen years, those who have the Mark are forced to transport themselves to Ellipse, using either of the two methods—Transmigration or Bilocation.

♠ Transmigration

For a body to be transmigrated, it must be dead. And so, since it normally affects children of the rich, they sought to always transport themselves using the second method.

♠ Bilocation

This is when you teleport to generate a virtual body. In this case, those who make use of this method have their real bodies existent on earth, while their virtual bodies are transported. In the world they are transported to, their virtual bodies appear like real bodies and for a person to undergo this method, they must possess a ROUTE.

♠ Route

A powder-like substance that enables bearers of the Mark of Ellipse to successfully teleport into the World of Ellipse. The substance is usually very expensive, and cannot be afforded by any average or poor being, and this is one of the reasons the mark is designed to be done with the rich.

♠ Land of Call

Once a bearer is transported through a Route, their first appearance zone is the Land of Call. The Land of Call is specifically designed to have different zones where each bearer undergoes their trials. For instance, if the Land of Call is an A - Z land, and there are 26 bearers, each of them will land in either A, B, C, D, or Z for their trials. No more than one person can be found in each Land of Call.

♠ The Trial

This is like a test one passes through in the Land of Call, and it is this test that determines your affinity with the kind of talents to be awakened on your return to the Ellipse Academy, where proper information as to what your goal should be as a chosen is in the original world—Ellipse.

— Common Terminologies:

♠ Academy

Kind of an enlightenment school for the bearers of the Ellipse mark, where they awaken their various talents and skills and from where they begin their journey.

♠ Haven

A Haven is a shelter that can be found in any of the four regions existing in Ellipse. These shelters are what are believed to belong to Ellipse creatures if luck finds you with a good creature that had a Haven.

♠ Rift

A Rift is a special portal that serves both as an anchor forbearers returning from the Land of Call and as an entrance point for awakened entering the Eclipse Realm.

♠ Talent

A physical manifestation of one's affinity after undergoing trials, that bounds with the person's soul core to grant the person a rank. There are seven talents which come in the form of colors:

• Black

• Red

• Orange

• Green

• Blue

• Violet

• White

♠ Soul Rank

A measure of power that is based on the quality of one's soul core. There are seven Soul Ranks:

• Initiate

• Awakened

• Defended

• Evolved

• Ascended

• Sovereign

• Monarch

Just like the bearers, Ellipse creatures face descend towards profanity. Their corrupted soul core has five ranks of power:

• Awakened [2¹]

• Tamed [2²]

• Tyrant [2³]

• Terror [2⁴]

• Titan [2⁵]

The least soul core an Ellipse creature possesses is two soul cores, and subsequently, it increases down the trend by power. The instance is shown by the side of each rank above.

So, an Ellipse creature is categorized according to their ranks, and the ability of a bearer to defeat any creature strengthens their soul ranks. For instance, a bearer must possess at least 50 soul cores of Ellipse Creatures they defeated to graduate to their next soul rank. If a bearer initially starts with Initiate [0/50] and can defeat a Tyrant, the bearer will be left with 8 cores, hence, Initiate [8/50].

♠ Soul Core

A mystical core of one's spirit that is capable of accumulating one's progress in the form of essence.

♠ Essence

The essence is the strength level of one's soul core and is what will determine one's capability to make use of the abilities.

♠ Cultivation

Cultivation is the process of refining the essence contained in one's soul core to produce energy that makes the body's abilities stronger. This way, the cultivator is capable of possessing the power to ascend beyond normal human limits.

♠ Zonal Region

The Zonal Region is known as a collective representation of areas in the Ellipse where the creatures can be found. There are four Zonal regions:

• East

• West

• North

• South

Each Zonal Region has creatures that are dominant in them (to be exposed in original chapters). Note that a Zonal Region may bear a different kind of creature in recess.

♠ Areas

An area is a place found in a Zonal Region where these creatures, whether individual or group can be found. For instance, if a Zonal Region consists of Lions and Tigers, Area A might be occupied by Lions, Area B by Tigers, Area C by Lions and Tigers, or something of that nature. The areas are ranked into four:

• Awakened

• Tamed

• Tyrant

• Terror

However, the rank of an area determines the rank of creatures and the difficulties in them. An Awakened Area is occupied by Awakened creatures, but can also be occupied by Tamed Creatures. Hence, the highest-ranked creature found in an Awakened Area is a Tamed Creature. This applies to other Areas.

♠ Bloodline

Bloodline is a confluence of one's innate affinities and choices manifested as an inherited trait specialization. Bloodline grants the bearer unique abilities, hence the power to perform magic by stirring the essence in their soul cores, but also curse them with weakness.

♠ Note

All Participants of the Ellipse are called Bearers, and all fight towards a specific goal and aim of the Ellipse (to be mentioned in the Original Chapters).

Also, the ability to be able to make use of one's abilities doesn't make the person a cultivator. I would have liked to say only the MC was able to cultivate due to his bloodline but to be on a safer path... It's best you read and understand the gist.
