Chapter 18 - 18 Mr Pupetter

"Crazy shit happens in your house often huh?" Gengyo texted.

"I don't know what to do Gengyo, maybe there's nothing wrong with this house, maybe I've been the problem all along," Kurai texted back.

"Don't fucking say that again, there's nothing wrong with you." Gengyo quickly replied.

"Thanks Gengyo, I'm glad I met you."

"I'm glad I met you too, Kurai."

Gengyo's eyes lingered on Kurai's message: "Thanks Gengyo, I'm glad I met you."

She's so cute when she's vulnerable.

Lenieve appeared silently behind Gengyo.

He extended his back and leaned over Gengyo's shoulder.

"A child of light and a child of darkness, how I'd love to see how this would turn out."

His red nails with hints of blue traced circles on Gengyo's arm, and Gengyo grunted with annoyance.

"Humans like you make our job so much easier," Lenieve laughed.

Lenieve pulled on Gengyo's ear and filled Gengyo's thoughts with things Gengyo wanted for himself.

"Kurai is so vulnerable, Kurai is so cute, Kurai is the only girl I need."

Gengyo's face went rosy pink at the thought of Kurai, and that's when a heavy presence pushed down on his back.

"But she's a girl of God still struggling; she and I could never be together," Gengyo whispered to himself.

Lenieve growled.

"Girl of God? How could that girl be a girl of God with that attitude? Aren't Christians supposed to be brave and perfect? She's far from perfect!"

Gengyo's heart skipped a beat.

That's true, but she'd never like someone like me...

"So foolish, I'll get my revenge once and for all!" Lenieve snickered.

Gengyo set his phone on silent and returned to class, his mind infatuated at the thought of Kurai.

Kurai...hm. Probably the worst time to think of her when I have to attend university and she doesn't.

He sat beside his friend Odayaka, who was a huge fan of dinosaurs.

Odayaka always admired paleontologists, how they got to study the bones of dinosaurs and stuff, it all seemed so cool and he hoped could be one someday.

"Since when you're quiet? Mr. Loud mouth?" Odayaka asked.

"Oh...nothing," Gengyo replied.

"You think I'm fucking stupid? You're always talking during the entire class! Now of a sudden, you're quiet? Since when?"

"If you want to know that badly, I, unlike you, actually plan to ask some chick to be my girlfriend," Gengyo boastfully replied.

Odayaka burst into laughter.

"You? Ask a girl out? In which planet? You look like shit Gengyo, she'd never go for someone like you," Odayaka said.

Gengyo held his tongue before he said.

"We'll see Odayaka...we'll see."

--

Lenieve spent his day trying to cast a spell on Kurai so she could fall head over heels for Gengyo.

And Kurai, not being covered with the blood of Jesus, exposed herself to the chaos that would fall onto her.

As the wind circles around us all and the angel that I once was and will never be again, sow delusion, not devotion; longing, not truth.

Oh the soul of this girl will want no one other than Gengyo, that is

Let false affection rise from the pits below

Let this little girl's gaze be snared by illusion only

What is love if it isn't just a speck of dust in your eyes that you can't seem to get out?

Only longing and confusion will fill your heart little girl

Thus I say, child of God, you will think you are in love

But here I say your desire will be born of trickery

His mouth opened wide with a crack, and dark smoke poured out quickly. As Kurai breathed in, she unknowingly inhaled it and was now under Lenieve's love spell.

At that very moment, all Kurai could think of was Gengyo, and she didn't know why.

Sure, she fell for many guys in her life, but she wasn't that down bad, and Gengyo wasn't exactly the kind of guy she would have a crush on.

Kurai felt her cheeks burn, and her mind felt fuzzy from just saying it to herself over and over.

I wanna be his girl so bad, Gengyo's so sweet, Gengyo's understanding, He's a bit of a dickhead, but that's fine.

Kurai shook her head profusely.

No, no, no! I should be focusing on my future, not some smelly rat who did nothing when Lady Caltheris forced me to kill my own family.

When an hour went by, the love spell had completely taken over, all Kurai could think about was Gengyo.

A notification from Gengyo popped up.

"I know this is may sound a bit sudden but, would you be my girlfriend? Pls? I love you."

Not in her right mind, she found herself becoming his girlfriend before she could think clearly.

Fuck...why did I even become his girl? Yes, he's cute, but I thought I was done with dating in secret!

Lenieve hovered over her, trying to comfort her, but all he was thinking about was how sweet his revenge was tasting, and it was working faster than expected.

What if your mother think if she finds out you're out searching for love again?

God's daughter?

God do you really claim her as your daughter?

Pfffttt!

Don't make me laugh!

When I'm done with you, all He'll feel is disgust at the thought of creating a being such as yourself!

I can't wait to see you burn in hades, you'll cry His name but He won't save you, no one will!

Your body will be discarded as waste, not even those pigeons would waste their time feeding on your remains!

I'll show you you're nothing!

That's all you ever will be!

Azhield got closer to Kurai and looked into her eyes, and saw that she was indeed under a spell.

"So you cast her under a spell, what's next? What happens when the LORD is on our tail? Surely we'll be on our knees begging for him to let us go, not so?" Azhield said.

"Do I look like I could give a flying fuck about what her precious little savior has to say? She wanted to summon some woman from a fucking mirror! She didn't do anything that day she saw me by that couch! So what difference does it make, Azhield, if the LORD comes after us?! Please enlighten me!" Lenieve said angrily.

"I'm sorry boss, perhaps you've forgotten the time you planned on appearing out of the mirror and snatching her inside, only for you and her to find out that the school bathroom had no mirrors in sight," Azhield replied.

"Bravo, bravo, want a cookie?" Lenieve asked.

"I want a chocolate chip cookie!" one of his minions chimed.

"Shut the fuck up or I'll slit your throat in two!" Lenieve yelled.

"Sorry..."

Lenieve rolled his eyes.

"Accepted...but all of you should know my patience is wearing thin, I don't like watching this girl breathe the breath of life every single fucking day! It's driving me insane! I didn't become a demon to babysit some silly little girl, all I want is to see is her die, die, die! Is that too much for a demon to ask for?"

Lenieve grumbled out loud.

"Yahweh, Jireh, Jehovah, Adonai, El Shaddai, Elohim, The Most High, why are you so unfair huh?! May a curse fall onto you too, you piece of sh—"

His mind went dizzy as God struck him down and his minions gathered around him to help him up.

"Lenieve are you okay?"

"Does it look like he's okay?"

"Why would you tell God something like that?"

"He's badly hurt!"

Lenieve grunted.

"I don't need you guys fucking help, I have a human to take care of."

And with that he sped after Kurai to monitor what she was doing.

His minions looked irritated but didn't question it and some of them returned themselves in objects in the house and some simply just stationed themselves in the house to continue their duties.

"Aren't you guys sick of that bastard?"

"Duh, who isn't? That smiling freak gives me the creeps."

"And the fact he's always after her? Talk about obssessed."

"If that little plan of his fails, we go after that girl, any more stress he takes and he'll beat us up to feel better."

"I agree! He already threatened to kill me because Kurai has returned! I wasn't the one who helped her back here."

"Thank goodness Teruna is just as gullible as Kurai, she too hasn't be praying enough!"

"Fresh meat..."

"As much as I hate to spoil our little conversation, let's go back to what we're actually supposed to do or we'll get a beating of a life time!"
