Chapter 53 - – Blood Training: Heroes or Shadows?

📍 Phoenix Guild — Training Hall

The Phoenix Guild was alive.

Not just with movement—

But with anticipation.

Something in the air vibrated, like the very space itself knew that this day would not be ordinary.

The walls of the legendary training hall carried invisible scars… echoes of battles long past. This was where names like Darius Valtier, Inavy, Diana Flamesoul, and Rose had surpassed their limits—and redefined what it meant to be a hero.

And now…

A new generation would step into that same arena.

Destiny was about to demand its price.

🔥 The Arrival of the Flame

Diana Flamesoul stepped into the center of the arena.

Her movements were precise. Controlled.

Every step carried discipline… and danger.

She snapped her fingers.

CRACK.

Golden sparks burst into existence, dancing like living embers around her hand. Her eyes reflected the same fire—intense, burning, merciless.

She smiled.

But it wasn't kind.

It was the kind of smile that promised pain.

— "Alright, Phoenix recruits…"Her voice echoed across the hall.— "Let's see what you're really made of."

Silence fell instantly.

Then—

Her gaze locked onto one person.

Ryu.

A slight tilt of her head.

— "Ryu Nox…"She raised a brow.— "So we finally train together."

Ryu froze.

A cold drop of sweat ran down his face.

— "Get ready, kid."

He forced a smile—clearly fake.

Leaning slightly toward Ryan, he whispered:

— "Run. Now. I'm serious. She's insane."

Ryan didn't even get to respond.

In a blink—

Diana was already behind him.

And the next second—

She grabbed him by the collar.

Like he weighed nothing.

— "Where do you think you're going, Ryu Nox?"

— "AAAAAH!!"Ryu panicked instantly.— "SENSEI DARIUS, HELP! SHE'S GOING TO KILL ME!!"

The reaction was immediate.

The entire guild burst into laughter.

Even some veterans couldn't hold it in.

But Diana?

Didn't even blink.

📍 Special Arena — Training Begins

The side doors opened.

Dante, Abby, Annie, and Kane stepped in.

Annie reacted first.

— "Yaaaan!!"

She rushed straight to Ryan, nearly knocking him over with a hug.

Ryan smiled faintly.

Kane lifted a hand.

— "Hey."

Cold. Flat. Controlled.

Abby, meanwhile, stopped when she saw Ryu… trembling in the corner.

— "What happened to you?"

Ryu slowly raised a finger…

Pointing.

— "Her…"

Abby followed his line of sight.

Her eyes widened.

Then—

They lit up.

— "No way…"A huge smile spread across her face.— "That's her! The legendary Diana Flamesoul!"

Within seconds, Abby and Annie were already crowding her, asking for autographs.

Diana raised an eyebrow, mildly surprised.

Then immediately lost interest.

— "Enough."

Her voice cut through the excitement like a blade.

— "This isn't a fan meeting."

Silence.

She turned.

Her gaze landed on Ryan.

And stayed there.

A second longer than usual.

— "Ryan Valeborn…"

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

— "Interesting."

She tilted her head.

— "I can't feel your aura."

A brief silence.

— "Must be that 'Reversum' Darius and Inavy mentioned."

She crossed her arms.

— "You're not participating."

Ryan blinked.

— "What?"

— "You'll observe."She pointed to the side.— "With Dante."

Dante frowned.

Ryan hesitated.

But nodded.

— "Understood."

Inside…

He hated it.

Kane watched quietly.

— "That nerd…" he muttered.— "Already ahead… but I won't fall behind."

⚠️ The Predator's Presence

The doors opened again.

And the air changed.

Zen Kagetsune walked in.

And with him—

Silence.

Not commanded.

Instinctive.

Annie and Abby immediately stepped back, taking combat stances.

Their bodies reacted before their minds did.

Darius raised a hand.

— "Relax."

A pause.

— "He's one of us now."

Not everyone agreed.

Ethan…

His eyes burned.

A single sound escaped him:

— "Tch."

Heavy with resentment.

Zen noticed.

Of course he did.

But said nothing.

🌑 Phase One — Absolute Concealment

Diana raised her hand.

And then—

Everything vanished.

Light.

Sound.

Aura.

Gone.

It felt like reality had been switched off.

A perfect void.

— "Today…"Her voice echoed from everywhere.— "You will learn to disappear."

A pause.

— "Absolute Aura Concealment."

The environment twisted.

Gravity shifted.

Temperature dropped.

Sounds came from impossible directions.

The recruits were blindfolded.

No sight.

No reference.

No control.

— "You will not be heroes here."

Silence.

— "You will be… nothing."

Ryan—though excluded—

Felt it.

Something inside him responded.

The Reversum.

Calling.

He closed his eyes.

And stepped forward.

Dante turned sharply.

— "You shouldn't—"

— "I know."

Another step.

— "But I can't ignore this."

His presence began to fade.

— "If there's a way to grow stronger…"

He kept walking into the void.

— "I'll find it."

And then—

He disappeared.

Not physically.

Completely.

🧠 Phase Two — Reflection of the Soul

Without warning—

The illusions began.

Ryu collapsed to his knees.

— "Dad…?"

The moment of death.

Repeating.

Endlessly.

Ethan shouted:

— "MOM!!"

Her fall.

Inavy unconscious.

Failure.

Again.

And again.

Annie cried:

— "Mom… no…"

Her final breath.

Abby trembled.

The world ending.

Her father—Antoine—gone before her eyes.

Kane…

Saw Ryan.

Always ahead.

Always better.

While he… was nothing.

Zen…

Alone.

In darkness.

Liv's voice echoed endlessly:

— "Why…?"

— "Why…?"

— "Why…?"

He had no answer.

Ryan…

Also saw it.

His mother.

Almost lost.

His body trembled.

But he didn't fall.

He stood.

Unmoving.

Unbroken.

🌌 Phase Three — The Hunt

— "Final test."

Diana's voice returned.

— "Your hunter…"

A pause.

— "Is Zen Kagetsune."

Reality shifted again.

A forest.

Dark.

Cold.

Alive.

Every sound was a threat.

Every movement… a risk.

Ryu melted into shadows.

Ethan moved like a blade.

Precise. Lethal.

Annie, Abby, and Kane—

Became ghosts.

No emotion.

No presence.

Ryan…

Simply walked.

No aura.

No intent.

No existence.

Zero.

Zen emerged from the darkness.

His eyes narrowed.

— "That boy…"

A whisper.

— "He erased himself."

And for the first time—

The predator hesitated.

📍 After the Training

Reality returned.

Bodies collapsed.

Exhausted.

Broken.

But alive.

Diana watched in silence.

Then—

Crossed her arms.

— "Good."

A pause.

— "You're dismissed."

Relief spread.

But not for long.

— "Ryan."

He stopped.

— "Stay."

The others left.

Silence returned.

Diana approached slowly.

Her eyes… different now.

Deeper.

— "I've seen people with overwhelming power."

A pause.

— "But you…"

She tilted her head slightly.

— "You're something else."

Ryan held her gaze.

— "That Reversum…"

She continued.

— "Isn't just power."

Silence.

— "It's purpose."

Her expression darkened slightly.

— "And things with purpose… always demand a price."

Ryan inhaled slowly.

— "What if it destroys me… and saves me at the same time?"

Diana paused.

One second.

Two.

Then—

A small smile.

Real.

— "Then make it worth it."

She turned away.

— "Even if it's the last thing you ever do."
