After Rhea left the pack house, she went back home to see her father leaving the house.
Daniel smiled at the sight of his daughter and excitedly said, "You are back so soon."
Rhea nodded, contemplating whether she should tell him of Violet's suggestion to her.
Rhea's relationship with her dad was such that she had never hidden anything from him. She was a product of a one-night stand and was left in front of his door with a letter attached to her.
When she was two years old, her dad met his mate, but his mate told him that for them to be together, he would have to disown his daughter.
Burdened with the choice to choose between his daughter and his mate, Daniel rejected his mate, and after the accident that took her voice at the age of five, he taught her how to communicate through sign language, and with him, she has never felt the loss of a mother.
Daniel cupped his daughter's cheek and said, "Let me take a look at my pretty daughter. What has made you so upset today?"
Rhea shook her head, indicating she was not upset.
"Really? So no one bullied you?" Daniel asked.
Rhea shook her head again.
Daniel dropped his head and ruffled her hair. "You can tell me what's wrong when I get back from the Luna father's house."
'Why?' Rhea signed.
"I don't know. Maybe they need more guards."
Rhea's heart sank, and she quickly signed, 'Is there another war? I don't want you to go.'
Daniel chuckled and placed his hand on top of her head as he replied, "There is no war, Rhea. Alpha Sebastian has made sure of that. To be honest, when he succeeded his father at such a young age, I had my doubts about him, but time and time again, he has proved his capability towards the pack. Ensuring each one of us, despite our ranks, is well taken care of."
Rhea smiled and signed. 'You seem impressed with him.'
Daniel chuckled and replied, "That's because I am impressed. The only issue now is that he does not have an heir."
Rhea frowned and signed, 'Isn't he only twenty-six? And Violet is just twenty; they can still make babies, right?'
"It's not as easy as you think, Rhea. Sebastian is a pureblood; his kind are rare. For this reason, his family and even the council are desperate for him to have a child. I know you love your friend, but if Violet is unable to give him a child, then she will be removed as Luna. It is something that must be done.
'Pureblood?' Rhea asked, confused.
Daniel nodded. "Remember when I explained the ranks of werewolves to you?"
Rhea immediately nodded.
Daniel laughed at her and said, "You don't remember."
Rhea pouted her lips and signed', I was sleepy that day."
Daniel laughed and dragged her cheek, saying, "Now that you are wide awake, pay attention. The lowest rank is the Omega, and then there is the Gamma, the Beta, the Alpha, the Lycan, and on top of all these are the pureblood."
'What's special about them?' Rhea sighed.
"No one knows the fullness of their power, but one of their terrifying powers is the ability to control other wolves with just one look, and the worst part is, the wolves being controlled wouldn't even know it."
'How many purebloods are they?' Rhea sighed.
Daniel shrugged and replied, "Only higher-ups know the answer to that question, but I once heard a rumor that Sebastian is the first pureblood in a hundred years, but whether this is true or not, I do not know."
'But how does this affect Violet being removed as Luna if she doesn't give birth to a child for him?'
"That's because once a pureblood reaches thirty years old, he becomes unable to reproduce, and this is why Violet will be removed as Luna if she cannot give Sebastian a child. I feel sorry for the poor girl; hopefully she gets pregnant before the end of the year."
Rhea was about to tell her father about her conversation with Violet when he suddenly said.
"I have to go. It wouldn't be nice to keep the Luna father waiting. When I come back, we will talk about why you came in upset, okay?"
Rhea nodded and signed, 'Take care.'
"I have prepared your favorite porridge; make sure to eat it while it's hot."
Rhea nodded and smiled when he kissed her forehead before leaving.
After hearing all her father had said, she felt bad for Violet, but despite Rhea's sympathy, she couldn't agree to Violet's request. Her first was going to be with her mate, not with another woman's husband.
