Chapter 44 - Chapter 44: The Mysterious Bald Woman

The Symbiote was furious. It raised its hand, which instantly morphed into a long tentacle that swept viciously toward Peter.

This was one of the Symbiote's most common mimetic abilities—transforming parts of its body into tentacles or sharp, cold weapons to attack with sudden and deadly force.

Peter instinctively dodged, narrowly avoiding the attack. But the Symbiote's tentacle latched onto the wall behind him. Using the pulling force, the Symbiote launched itself forward and instantly appeared in front of Peter, delivering a powerful kick.

Peter quickly raised his arms to block, but the sheer force sent him crashing into the stone wall behind him, leaving a deep dent.

"Oh ho ho, does it hurt? This is called an eye for an eye, little Spider. Prepare to die!" the Symbiote mocked.

Once again, its right hand morphed into a tentacle, grabbing the fallen Peter and violently slamming him into the ground.

At that moment, Felicia burst onto the scene, her body shifting into a shadow-like form as she launched herself forward. Utilizing the kinetic energy from her nanotech suit, she collided forcefully with the Symbiote, sending it flying across the dungeon.

Enraged, the Symbiote's black tentacles lashed out wildly toward her.

Felicia didn't hesitate. She raised her palm and fired a blast from her palm cannon.

The sudden energy burst struck the Symbiote, cutting off its tentacle attack and blasting it back once more.

"Damn woman! I'll kill you!" the Symbiote roared, now both furious and humiliated.

It launched itself again with terrifying speed, bouncing around the narrow space like a missile. Felicia couldn't track its motion, much less aim effectively.

In a split second, one of its tentacles snatched up a sharp steel pipe. The Symbiote then lunged, stabbing fiercely toward Felicia's chest.

But at this critical moment, a strand of Spider Silk shot out, sticking to the Symbiote's body. With a fierce pull, Peter yanked the Symbiote backward and slammed it into the rock wall behind him.

Immediately after, Peter grabbed a few steel pipes from the ground and drove them into the ground, forming a crude circle around the Symbiote. Then, holding one steel pipe like a tuning fork, he struck it hard.

A sharp, piercing noise echoed through the dungeon.

At the sound, the Symbiote—still clinging to Tony Stark—let out a shrill, agonized screech. Its body began to writhe violently, and Peter could see signs of it detaching from Tony's form.

"Even if I don't know where you came from, I do know your kind's weaknesses. You want to kill me? Are you seriously underestimating me?" Peter said coldly, his voice laced with mockery.

The Symbiote, clearly alarmed by Peter's knowledge, panicked and tried to escape. But Peter wasn't about to let it go.

Just as it jumped, he struck the steel pipe again, the shrill vibrations forcing the creature back to the ground.

Realizing how effective the sound wave attacks were, Peter intensified his strikes. The frequency and volume of the sound waves grew, and the Symbiote's pain increased. Its dark form began peeling away from Tony Stark.

Inside, Tony was regaining consciousness. Though the Symbiote had granted him immense power, it had also stripped him of control over his own body. He had felt like nothing more than a puppet—and he was terrified.

Determined to break free, Tony resisted the Symbiote from within.

Seeing this, Peter didn't hesitate. He shot out a web line, sticking it firmly to Tony's original Iron Man armor. At the same time, he struck the steel pipe repeatedly, increasing the intensity of the sonic waves.

The Symbiote, unable to endure the attack, weakened further until it could no longer cling to its host.

Finally, with one powerful yank, Peter pulled Tony Stark—armor and all—out from the Symbiote's grasp.

"Black Cat, take him away! I'll handle things here," Peter ordered. He deliberately used her codename, avoiding calling her "Felicia," not wanting Tony to recognize him.

Felicia nodded, grabbed Tony, and quickly disappeared with him.

Now, with no other living creature in the dungeon, the Symbiote had no host to cling to—except Peter.

And a Symbiote without a host would soon die.

Frantic, it crawled toward Peter, desperately attempting to latch onto him.

Peter was ready. With a light tap of the steel pipe, another high-pitched shriek escaped from the Symbiote.

Seizing the opportunity, Peter picked up a glass container from a nearby table. With one swift motion, he trapped the creature inside and sealed it tightly.

Without a host, the Symbiote posed no significant threat. Now all Peter had to do was take it back for examination—and interrogation.

He needed to understand why it had appeared and why it had tried to kill him.

From its earlier outburst, Peter suspected the Symbiote had come specifically for him. But as far as he knew, his only real enemy—Kingpin—was already dead, likely reincarnated by now.

So who else could be after him?

For now, the only one who could give him answers was the captured Symbiote.

More than interrogation, Peter was also interested in studying its biology. After all, Symbiotes had incredible abilities.

Venom, for example, could not only shift its form endlessly but also granted its host superior healing, strength, and speed.

In terms of healing, it could repair wounds and cuts effortlessly—even fatal injuries. Severed limbs could regenerate rapidly, and even if the host was reduced to mush or liquid, the Symbiote could eventually reconstitute them—rivaling even Deadpool's regeneration.

Its resistance to viruses, diseases, mind control, and even nuclear radiation made it incredibly resilient.

Its strength was also monstrous—Peter had felt it firsthand in their earlier battle. It could lift up to 70 tons, possibly more under stress.

And speed? When sprinting, it could outrun helicopters. On all fours, it was twice as fast as on two legs. In emergencies, it could even move fast enough to keep pace with bullets.

Despite its terrifying powers, its weaknesses were just as prominent: high-frequency sound waves and intense fire.

These weren't mild inconveniences—exposure to either could kill a Symbiote outright.

So while Peter admired its shapeshifting and regeneration, the downsides dulled his interest. Still, the scientist in him was intrigued.

Perhaps he could engineer a Symbiote that wasn't vulnerable to sound or fire—and lacked its own consciousness.

Something like Anti-Venom in the parallel universes: powerful, obedient, and stable.

As Peter mulled over this, he secured the glass bottle and turned to leave.

But just then, a swirling yellow portal appeared in front of him.

From within stepped a bald woman in a flowing robe.

"Little guy," she said calmly, her eyes sharp, "you can't take that thing with you."
