Hearing the shouts of people coming from the woods, the two body guards instantly jumped in front their master to protect him.
Behind them, the young man showed an unusual expression. 'What about the other small party. Are they using some kind of strategy?' He thought as he sensed only one group, Jin Mo's group, was charging at them not both the groups he sensed.
'Well whatever tactics you guys are using, in front of absolute power everything is vain.' Even though he thought they were using some kind of tactics, he didn't care much of it.
He calmly told his men. "Don't kill them. Just knock them out. I want to know their reasons."
The two bodyguards nodded. "Yes."
Seconds later, more than 20 people ran out of the woods with their faces covered and wearing dark robes.
With a mantal count, they roughly guessed the exact number. Including their 3 leaders, way behind the frontline, the number was about 33. If the other small group hiding away was also added, then the number would be 38.
But none of that mattered anymore to the guards. Their duty was to just end the fight or whatever the situation they were in.
When the enemies were just less than 5 meters away from them, the two guards also charged.
The only difference was that Jin Mo's group was charging at them with rhe intention to kill. And the guards were charging with the intention to knock them out cold.
In less then 2 seconds, both sides met.
Clang.. clang.. clang...
The sound of swords clashing against eachother rang out as soon as both parties clashed.
Ah,..
Thud...
The sound of people screaming and falling to ground spread out. People from Jin Mo's side continued falling down. But, even with their numbers, they could not even touch a single part of their enemy.
Observing just a little away from the fight was Li clan's group.
Seeing Jin Mo's group was suffering, they felt delighted. But Li Fei felt the opposite way. If Jin Mo's party was to be defeated so quickly, then their effort of coming to help will be in vain.
So, without delaying further, he turned to his people and ordered. "Now."
Hearing his command, his people showed confusion. Instead of rushing to help, Li Fang asked puzzledly. "Son, why do we need to risk our lives when the fight is happening in our favor?"
The others felt the same.
Knowing what they were thinking, Li Fei quickly explain. "If we don't give them a help now. When they finish the fight, we might to get a chance to let them owe to us."
"But if we do that now, we won't be risking much. And they will owe us a debt."
"Now!.."
After hearing his explanation, the others also came to a realization. Without hesitation, they also charged out from their hiding spot.
When the possibly new city lord sensed the Li clan group, he murmured with a smile. "Finally joining the battle huh?"
But something unexpected happened that proved his thought wrong.
Instead of joining the battle and helping out the early group, they started attacking them.
When the two bodyguards realized the situation, they also felt the same confusion as their master.
To Jin Mo's group, the situation was different. When they suddenly got attack from behind, their first thought was someone betrayed them or they were more allies of city lord hiding than the two they were facing.
However, when they sensed the familiar figure and those familiar techniques and more importantly when Jin Mo spotted the eyes of Li Fang. They quickly realized that it was none other than the Li clan.
Before the Li clan joined the battle, Jin Mo's group was already suffering. It was only a matter of time before they were defeated. And Jin Mo was already having the thought of running away from the battle, just to save his own life.
But, when he realized that the Li clan was likely following them and now attacking them from behind to help the enemy. His thought of retreating out of fear quickly turned into anger.
"How...dare..you..Li clan...." He gritted his teeth in anger. He quickly abandoned attacking the two guards and turned into attacking the Li clan members.
He spotted the familiar Li Fang's figure and charged at him.
When Li Fang saw the same familiar figure of Jin Mo, he also charged at him without fear.
Although he was brave and fearless, after exchanging blows with Jin Mo, he quickly realized something. His strength was not a match for Jin Mo.
'Impossible, how!? We are at the same level..?' As he retreated slowly, Li Fang thought. Then, something hit his mind.
"You are at 6 level!?" His eyes widened as he said to Jin Mo.
Smiling under the cover of his face, Jin Mo sarcastically said. "Hehehe... you are doom.... Once I leave this place, your clan is over."
When Li Fang heard the words, his expression turned grave. But that all changed when he looked around the fight.
Jin Mo's group of men was falling onto the group at a rapid pace.
Smiling, Li Fang turned to Jin Mo and with the same sarcastic tone Jin Mo said, he said. "I think you won't get that chance.. haha.."
Jin Mo could sensed the meaning and the teasing tone. He could also feel his surrounding and knew his men could not hold any longer. But that infuriated him even more, to the point of madness.
When he thought of how the Li clan defy him, how his men were so useless, how his foolproof plan failed. How everything was going against his flow. All those things together made him lose his mind.
Argh.....
Jin Mo let out an angry roar and punched towards Li Fang with all his remaining strength.
Li Fang saw the reaction and he knew he made a mistake teasing a losing man. When he sensed the power behind Jin Mo punch, he felt an extreme sense of danger. He knew even if he use all his strength, he can not take the punch without injuring himself severely and maybe even die from the aftermath.
And since he was so close to the range of attack, he couldn't even attempt to dodge the punch.
Even so, with a grave expression, Li Fang was ready to took the attack with all his might. He put his both arms in front of his chest in a x cross mark.
However, something unexpected happened. Just before the punch could land on Li Fang, Li Fei appeared in front him and took Jin Mo's rage driven full force punch without retreating a step back.
Boom....
A deafening sound rang out the moment Li Fei's punch met Jin Mo's punch.
When the fight between Jin Mo and Li Fang started, Li Fei was already thinking of intervening the fight. Because he could feel the same strength from Jin Mo.
So, when he saw his father was about to face a deadly force, he quickly did it.
The scene surprised both Li Fang and Jin Mo.
For Li Fang, he didn't think that his son Li Fei could match someone at Level 6 with his peak Level 5 strength. It was a shocking feed.
And for Jin Mo, he didn't think that there would be someone in the Li clan which can match his Level 6 strength aside from the ancestor.
Very quickly, he snapped back to reality. Seeing someone sabotaging his plan once more, his anger hit the top.

He roared again and tried to punch once more.
But, before he could do that, someone stopped his action. When he pulled back his fist and tried to punch, one of the guard grabbed his hand and stopped him.
In a cold voice, he spoke. "Now, you should stop your action and ready for some question and answers."
Jin Mo realized that all his men was down when he turned around to check. When he saw the scene, he felt a sense of lost. 'How could this happen. It was all foolproof.' He thought devastated, not from his action being exposed. But thinking of the aftermath that will most likely lead his clan being erased from the city.
As a one last desperate attempt to stop that from happening, he gritted his teeth and cut his own throat.
Puchi...
Blood came pouring out of his neck, dying his body red.
This unexpected scene caught both Li Fang's group and the two guards, including their master.
Then, Jin Mo's body went still and relaxed.
But since the guard was holding his hand, his body still didn't fall to the ground.
After the gaurd came to his sense, he released his grip from Jin Mo's hand.
Plop...
Then, the body fell to the ground.
For a while, the remaining group of people, Li clan group and and city lord group, stared at the scene in silence.
After a moment of awkward silence, the possibility young city lord jumped down from his horse and came to the scene.
When Li Fei and his group saw the young man approaching, they secretly put on their guard.
But contrary to how they thought, the young man calmly walked up to them and thanked them. "These gentlemen, thank you for your help."
"Mind telling me who you guys are?" He asked politely.
