Chapter 26 - Chapter: "Technological Hunt - Distribution Center"

Alice, drones no perímetro. Jill e Leon comigo.

**Umbrella Ambush: Fogo Cruzado**

— Tudo bem... Você vai sair viva — disse ele, entregando-a a Angela.

**A Saída Sob Pressão**

Escape: Race Against Chaos

The sun was already beginning to set behind the destroyed buildings when the convoy set off. Raccoon City was no longer a safe place — every street held threats, traps, and echoes of the past that seemed to be shattering at every moment.

Daniel watched closely through the bulletproof glass, analyzing the route on the digital map. Marcos and Lucas were in the rearguard vehicles, covering the retreat with weapons ready, eyes fixed on the sides.

"This exit is the only safe route," Daniel said, his voice firm over the radio. "We'll stay closed, medium speed. We can't draw attention."

In the main armored vehicle, Angela stood firm, hugging the children who were still dozing, while Ashford watched in silence, his face marked by the pain of the reunion and the concern for the escape.

The first streets were deserted, but the silence was unsettling. Suddenly, an explosion in the distance broke the tension.

"Look over there!" Jill shouted. — Umbrella won't make it easy for us.

Zombies emerged from ruined buildings, while Umbrella soldiers, protected by tactical armor, set up blockades on the main streets.

— Form a defensive perimeter! — Daniel ordered. — Marcos and Lucas, maintain covering fire. Alice, activate the drones to identify alternative routes.

The convoy slowed down, while Daniel coordinated rapid attacks to clear a path.

— We have to clear the third street on the right, opening a passage for the trucks — Marcos warned.

Daniel grabbed his silenced weapon, communicating with Jill and Leon via signals. Moving with surgical precision, they eliminated the enemies silently, while Alice guided the group through less exposed routes.

But Umbrella was already waiting for them. An ambush exploded near an intersection, where improvised mines exploded under the wheels of the tanker truck.

— Partial loss on the truck! — Lucas shouted. — We need quick repairs!

Time was an enemy. Daniel knew that every second there cost lives.

"Ashford, watch out!" Claire warned, as a mutant zombie lunged at him. Marcos fired accurately, saving him.

The group regrouped behind improvised barricades, while doctors checked the wounded and children cried in fear.

"We can't stop," Daniel said, swallowing his fatigue. "The hospital is behind us. Our next stop is the distribution center. We have to keep going, no matter what the cost."

At the rear, the civilians were taking everything they could carry: food, water, supplies. No resource would be wasted — survival depended on everyone's unity and effort.

As the sun disappeared completely, the convoy's headlights cut through the darkness. They advanced through ruins and wreckage, aware that the next challenge would be even greater.

But at that moment, in the heat of the fight and flight, the group knew: together, they had a chance — a hope to rebuild.

Escape: Advancing Between Ruins and Hope

The convoy moved forward with firm steps, almost an extension of the bodies of those present. No gesture was out of place, no word wasted — just the tense silence and the rhythmic noise of the engines. Daniel commanded with natural authority, without needing to raise his voice. Each member knew their role, and each movement was synchronized.

The streets ahead were already beginning to show signs of new danger: burned cars, improvised barricades, and figures standing in the shadows. It wasn't just the zombies that threatened — desperate humans were also trying to escape, or protect themselves.

"Spotting two survivors near that store," Alice reported over the radio, the drones illuminating the sidewalk. "They're injured, but conscious."

Daniel ordered the armored vehicle to brake gently, while Jill and Marcos quickly got out to rescue them.

The pair approached in silence, listening for any strange noise. The two civilians were a middle-aged man and a young woman, both with minor injuries and eyes full of fear.

"We're leaving here," Jill said, her voice calm and firm. "Come with us."

The man tried to say something, but it was the woman who answered, stifling her tears:

"Thank you. We thought we were alone."

As they helped the survivors board, Daniel watched carefully around them, analyzing every detail to avoid ambushes.

The convoy resumed its march, now with two more passengers, but the speed and coordination did not decrease.

"Umbrella is doing everything possible to block our routes," Leon commented, sitting next to Daniel. "We need to keep a cool head."

"We need silence and precision," Daniel agreed, adjusting the silencer on his weapon.

A few minutes later, a barricade blocked the main street. Umbrella soldiers were positioned with heavy weapons, ready to attack.

"Prepare a quick attack," Daniel ordered.

Jill, Leon, and Marcos advanced along the sides, silently eliminating the guards. Alice, n
