Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: We Will Not Yield to You

The revolutionary laughed: "Bkhakhakhakha, it seems they want to die."

"Sir..." said one of the three soldiers, "why don't we use this child as a hostage to bargain with the villagers? There is no need for them to die — they benefit us."

The lieutenant began to think: "That's a good idea, but there's no harm in killing a few people to pump fear into them so they don't repeat such an act."

"I like it, Lieutenant," said the revolutionary Karno, "let them come, let them come." He was smiling with an evil smile.

Suddenly, he shouted loudly: "Wake up, you scoundrels, from your sleep!"

That scream startled all those who were sleeping, and they stood up terrified, each one bumping into the other.

"Bwahahahaha!" Karno began to laugh. "What cowards you are! Wake up... and... someone is attacking us!"

"Who?! Who?!" Karno's followers and the army soldiers began to scream in panic.

"They are the villagers!" said the lieutenant.

Then, everyone in the cave started laughing, "It seems they want to die."

Elsewhere on the island, Mihon and the others stood before three large factories. These factories were where the villagers used to work.

"It's a strong smell," said Youray.

"Is this the smell you were talking about earlier?" asked Ames.

Youray began to tell the story of the villagers in Cambor Forest, and how they suffered. He told the story from beginning to end.

"That's terrible... Lio Nhar, a revolutionary with two stars — I've heard of him. He's a rarely seen rebel; all his actions happen in secret. I also heard he's a dangerous beast."

"Shall we go in?" said Ames, looking at the factory door.

Inside, there were ten men managing the factories.

"They, these slaves, are very late. What delayed them?"

Suddenly, the door opened.

"They have come, what the...?" He didn't finish, because what appeared before him were not the villagers, but people he had never seen before.

"Who are you?" one of them spoke.

Mihon started looking around: "It seems like the same place..."

The factory was like the one in Cambor Forest. There were many large containers, and lots of purple-colored stones, and the smell coming from this factory was strange.

"I wonder, what do they make from these stones?" said Ames.

"Even when we destroyed those factories, we didn't know their purpose. It seems everything is done secretly."

"Why don't you answer, you scoundrels? Who are you?"

Ames looked at them: "Who is the person behind these factories?"

One of them replied, "And why do you want to know? Who are you?"

"Why do you keep repeating the same words like a parrot?" said Ames.

The man raised his rifle and aimed it at Ames: "Answer, or I will shoot."

"Yari yari…" Ames rushed forward, the sickle in his hands. In a moment, he was in front of the man holding the rifle and waved his sickle (shio). The man didn't see it, but he saw half the rifle fall to the ground.

His hair stood on end: "What is this?!" The man holding the rifle fell to the ground, sweating heavily and gasping for breath.

Ames could have cut off his head, but he only cut the rifle.

"Who are these people?!"

Shock appeared on everyone's faces, and they began stepping back fearfully.

"Now, answer… who is managing these factories?"

The man who fell to the ground, fear clearly on his face, replied: "It's the revolutionary Karno…" He answered without knowing how he pronounced those words because of his intense fear.

"Umm… I've never heard of him before. So, Mihon, what do we do?" said Ames.

"That's obvious," said Youray. A long bone emerged from his hands, shot forward, and pierced the head of the man beside Ames. He died immediately.

The remaining nine people were shocked: "He is... he is possessed! Run!!"

The nine took off, each wanting to save his life.

But Ames quickly followed them and cut the rest in half.

"Go to the other factories, I will destroy this one," said Mihon.

Ames and Youray left, each heading to a different factory.

Mihon looked toward the mute girl and said, "Can you come out a little from here?"

The mute girl turned her head and began to step outside. Mihon turned his head and raised his hand, forming red and black slime filled with purple eyes. Chains formed from both his hands, and he started hitting everywhere with terrifying speed, turning the place into utter chaos.

Within minutes, an explosion occurred in the three factories. But Mihon and the others had left some time ago.

Back at the place where the revolutionary Karno, the lieutenant, and their followers were, the entire village appeared before them, carrying their weapons in their hands. Their weapons consisted of farming tools and a few swords.

All the revolutionaries and the army soldiers came out laughing, with Karno and the lieutenant behind them.

The villagers were shocked: "What are the army soldiers doing with the revolutionaries?!"

The lieutenant started laughing: "What? Can't I have a drink with an old friend?"

The villagers turned to their leader, who looked calm.

"I have known this for a long time... I knew that the army soldiers work with the revolutionaries. Sorry for hiding it from you... even I was shocked like you. How could the army soldiers work with them? I always thought about it, and I found only one explanation: this world is harsher than we imagine."

The army soldiers and revolutionaries laughed.

"You miserable slaves! Who woke you from your sleep? Until today, you accepted slavery for many years, what has changed now? You want to rebel? Fine, rebel... but you will pay a heavy price!" said the lieutenant.

The villagers responded angrily: "We will no longer accept humiliation! We will fight! Don't think we fear death, we are humans like you, and we will fight you to the end!"

Karno began to laugh: "The insects we enslaved do not consider themselves equal to us!"

"You can say whatever you want, but if you think we will submit to you from now on, you are dreaming!"

"Are you sure?" Karno smiled, then said, "Bring him!"

His followers brought the little boy, who was still unconscious.

"What?!" The villagers were shocked. "How did this happen? When did they kidnap the boy?!"

"You cowards!" said the village leader. "You threaten us with a little child? No wonder, you have not a shred of humanity! If I were the same as before, you would have hit a sensitive spot... but today I am different from what you think. I am ready to die! And the villagers are no exception! There is no harm in making sacrifices for a higher goal! Come on, prepare yourselves, people!"

The villagers cursed the cruelty of the revolutionary and his allies, but after hearing the village leader's words, they all shouted, "We are ready! We are ready!"

"If you don't yield, blame only yourselves!" He turned and looked at his follower holding the little boy and said, "Kill him!"

When the village leader saw that, he raised the sword he was holding, but before the villagers attacked, and before the revolutionary could kill the boy… a terrifying explosion was heard coming from the north of the island.

They felt the ground shake beneath their feet, so much that some soldiers, revolutionaries, and villagers fell to the ground. Everyone was shocked: "What is happening?!"

Everyone turned around when they saw a large black cloud rising into the air.

"It's coming from the direction of the factories!" said one of them.
