Watching the guards close in on him, Fang Yuan sighed in disbelief.
He had thought that flashing his master's seal would pave the way for him.
But instead, it had backfired, not only was the seal useless, even the letter was shredded without having its content even spilled.
Just as the guards reached towards him, he stepped into the void. Dissapearing in front of everyone, vanished.
The guards froze in their track, one of them even fell to the ground.
"H-He was just there!"
"Where did he go?!"
"He was a cultivator?!"
Panic stirred at the city gate.
While behind the chaos, Fang Yuan was already strolling through the crowded market, weaving through merchants and carts as naturally as water slipping through cracks, none the wiser.
Truthfully, he could have done this from the start.
But he had feared he might offend some big shot within the cultivator if he had done that and hence wanted to enter hassle free through the gate.
Clearly, that had been a mistake.
