He could create shadows that were invisible to this world. These shadows possessed the same strength and thoughts as the original body and could perform all of the user's abilities. The shadows could switch between a physical and an intangible state.
Naturally, there was one drawback: if the shadow was injured while in its physical state, the damage would return to the original body once the shadow rejoined it.
Regardless, there was no doubt that this was an incredibly terrifying Rinnegan Ninjutsu.
