Preston Vance burst through the mahogany doors of the Dynasty Club's Dragon Room. His face was a patchwork of purple bruises. His expensive suit hung in tatters. Blood had dried beneath his swollen nose.
"Sebastian!" he roared, scanning the luxurious private room.
Sebastian Thorne looked up from his crystal tumbler of whiskey. Even seated, his posture radiated controlled fury. Bandages wrapped around his ribs beneath his silk shirt. His left arm hung in a discrete sling.
"Preston," Sebastian said quietly. "You look terrible."
"Terrible?" Preston slammed his fist on the polished table. "That bastard Hayes destroyed me! He humiliated me in front of everyone!"
Liam Blackwood shifted uncomfortably in his wheelchair. His legs were still in casts from his encounter with Ethan weeks ago. Beside him, Silas Crawford nursed his own injuries, his once-handsome face bearing the faint marks of recently healed wounds.
"Join the club," Liam muttered bitterly.
