The smoke cleared completely, revealing the full extent of my accidental discovery. My grab had torn through the black fabric binding across the assassin's chest, and now loose cloth hung in tatters.
Keiko's face flushed crimson as she tried desperately to cover herself with her arms. Her eyes blazed with humiliation and fury.
"You hooligan!" she screamed, her voice cracking with rage. "Pervert! Monster!"
I immediately released my grip and stepped back, raising my hands. "That wasn't intentional. I was just trying to catch you."
"Liar!" She lunged at me with renewed ferocity, her fists flying in rapid combinations. Gone was any pretense of ninja technique or calculated strategy. This was pure emotional fury.
Her punches came fast and wild, powered by embarrassment and anger. I dodged easily, but her persistence was becoming annoying.
