Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"Saiyan?! Such a powerful aura. If this really is a Saiyan, Vegeta, then their strength might be beyond anything we can imagine."

Goku glanced at Vegeta as he spoke. He was highly sensitive to energy, and as a true battle enthusiast, excitement was already shining in his eyes.

To him, the existence of another Saiyan was something to celebrate.

After all, ever since Frieza wiped out their race, only a handful of pure-blooded Saiyans remained.

Even counting the hybrids like Gohan, their numbers were still pitifully small.

"Impossible… That's impossible."

Vegeta muttered under his breath, completely ignoring Goku. He abruptly ended their fight, his body reverting to normal as he shot toward Master Roshi's island—the source of that overwhelming Saiyan aura.

"Vegeta… always so impatient. I wonder if he'll ever change."

Goku smiled faintly. Instead of using Instant Transmission immediately, he dashed forward and chased after him.

"Vegeta, wait!"

In a flash, Goku caught up, grabbing Vegeta by the shoulder. He raised two fingers to his forehead.

"Kakarot, you—!"

Vegeta's face twisted in irritation, but before he could finish, both of them vanished.

---

"What's going on?"

Goku reappeared on the island alongside Vegeta.

The moment they arrived, Vegeta shook Goku off and scanned the surroundings with a grave expression.

Goku's gaze shifted toward Gohan, but his attention quickly locked onto the churning whirlpool in the sea. He could sense something within it—something moving at an incredible speed.

So fast… even he couldn't keep up with it.

"Dad!"

Gohan glanced at Goku, then shook his head.

"I don't know either. But… that energy—it's terrifying. It might even surpass Majin Buu's!"

His voice carried rare seriousness.

"I think you're right."

Goku nodded slowly.

When facing Majin Buu, he had never been completely certain of victory.

But now… just sensing this energy alone made even him uneasy.

This wasn't an opponent he could take lightly.

"It's coming!" Goku suddenly said.

The next moment—

A figure burst out of the whirlpool, sending massive waves crashing outward.

Goku instantly expanded his energy, shielding everyone from the impact.

Whoosh!

With a sharp sound cutting through the air, a black-clad figure emerged—hovering calmly above the sea.

It was Gu Xuan.

He stood there quietly, his gaze sweeping across the surroundings.

Naturally, he noticed Goku, Vegeta, Master Roshi, and the others on the island.

But despite their presence, he showed no interest—completely ignoring them.

"Who are you? How did you appear from the sea?"

Goku asked, his tone calm but cautious.

Even standing still, the man's aura alone was enough to shake them all.

In all his years, Goku had never encountered someone this terrifying.

"Son Goku…?" Gu Xuan glanced at him briefly before looking away.

"So handsome…"

Bulma's eyes lit up the moment she saw him. Even though she was already married to Vegeta, she couldn't help but admire such a striking man.

After all, appreciating good looks wasn't a crime.

"Who are you?! The Saiyans are extinct! Aside from me and Kakarot, there shouldn't be any pure-blooded Saiyans left!

And yet… you appeared from the sea!"

Vegeta stepped forward, his voice sharp. But deep down, he could feel it—the overwhelming pressure from Gu Xuan.

Damn it… First Buu, and now this?!

Why is every new enemy stronger than me?!

"Hello! My name is Gu Xuan."

Knowing Vegeta's temperament well, Gu Xuan ignored him entirely and greeted the group with a calm smile.

From the moment he saw Gohan and Goten, he had already pieced things together.

This timeline wasn't early—it had to be around, or just after, the Majin Buu saga.

And with Goku alive again, Buu was likely already defeated.

"Gu Xuan…"

Goku repeated the name softly, searching his memory—but finding nothing.

"Gu Xuan, you're incredibly strong. Among all the opponents I've faced… I don't think anyone comes close to you."

Goku's eyes sharpened, his fighting spirit burning even brighter.

Gu Xuan's strength didn't intimidate him—it excited him.

"It's nothing special," Gu Xuan replied with a faint smile. "Your strength is impressive as well. Defeating Majin Buu is no small feat."

His tone was friendly.

Despite his power, he had no intention of causing trouble. For now, it was better to follow the rules of this world.

"Gu Xuan! We're about to have a seaside party. Since you're here, why not join us?" Goku said enthusiastically. "We're all Saiyans—no need to be formal!"

"I'll pass. Maybe next time."

Gu Xuan declined without hesitation.

He knew what was coming next.

After Majin Buu… Beerus.

The God of Destruction would appear soon.

He didn't have the luxury of relaxing.

Even though his current strength surpassed Goku and the others, Gu Xuan was fully aware—

He was still far from being a match for Beerus.

The gap was enormous.

He couldn't even sense divine energy yet.

Right now, his priority was simple:

Train. Grow stronger.

At the very least, he needed the ability to perceive godly ki before Beerus arrived.

And beyond that… he needed the basic power to survive in the universe.

Without those, he would be completely powerless when facing a God of Destruction.

However—

It was clear that Goku and Vegeta had no intention of letting him leave so easily.

Just as Gu Xuan turned to go, Goku's voice rang out behind him once more…
