Ficool

Chapter 24 - 24

The crowd was confused. Where was the fight? Where was the struggle? There was only flame that did no harm, incomprehensible words from the champion, and the dragon's growls. The judges didn't know what scores to give the last participant. On the one hand, he had completed the task the fastest without injuring either the participant or the dragon. But no spells or anything else had been used. Nevertheless, the scores were given.

Kram used the Conjunctivitus spell to blind the dragon, but she panicked and trampled the fake eggs, for which he was deducted points. In the end, he took second place with a score of 40 points.

Flour, as I thought, used her Veela talent to put the dragon to sleep, but she couldn't avoid getting burned. Third place with a score of 37 points.

I was magnificent, with a score of 43 points, and took first place. This upset many, especially the sixth of the redheads.

I opened the egg in Dova's living room in front of all the girls. Using the animal language spell, we were able to hear a hint. Something important would be taken from me and placed in the lake, and I had one hour to complete the task. It wasn't difficult to decipher the meaning of the riddle; the predictions of the scrolls and The Daily Prophet in Skyrim could boggle anyone's mind, but this didn't even make me think.

The only thing I didn't like was "they will take my most precious possession." What do I value most? At the thought that came into my head, my hands clenched and broke the golden egg. My family... I must protect them so that nothing threatens them.

The school was shaken by the news. This year there would be a Christmas ball. The students were worried about finding partners, and how much laughter there was from Ron's attempt to invite Veela! I had no problems with that: three beauties who were eager to go with me, but Lily? A smile appeared on my lips.

Now what should I do with the redheads? A deadly curse? Send a meteorite to their house? Who is in charge of eliminating undesirables? The assassins of the Dark Brotherhood. There were three brothers among them who did not want to go to Sitis, they joined my cult, giving their souls to me in exchange for a promise to summon them for murders. They will deal with the redhead family, but the sixth... I will take him myself. The girls have already consumed the soul of the Dementor, soon a new one will be needed.

Having made my decision, I went to the forbidden forest, where I summoned the ghostly assassins. Human silhouettes began to rise from the ground, each with a piece of the Dragon Armour, which served as a link to me and protected them from Sitis.

"Family of magicians. All those who bear the surname Weasley, leave the last of the descendants alive." That was my order to the three brothers.

POV Side view. The Burrow

In a house that had been rebuilt and added to many times, there were three people. They were all from the Weasley family, and they were arguing. Percy Weasley, one of the older sons, had recently been arguing with his parents more and more often.

After another argument, Percy slammed the door and was about to leave when a ghostly figure appeared behind him, covering his mouth and slitting his throat. A fountain of blood spurted onto the grass, and the wizard's body fell onto the porch.

The ghostly assassin smiled as he looked at the bloodstained knife. But today he had two more to kill.

After arguing with his son, the head of the family went to the garage, where he was doing what he loved most: experimenting with Muggle objects, casting spells on them. Again and again, Arthur Weasley broke the law and violated the duties he was bound to uphold in his position. Right now, he was casting yet another spell on his beloved Ford.

Behind the man, a transparent figure emerged from the wall and, without a word, pierced the heart of the head of the Weasley family. A new death that made the ghost feel alive. The last one remained.

A woman was walking into the kitchen. Lately, her family had been plagued by misfortune. Dumbledore had stopped communicating with them, Ron had failed to become friends with the wealthy Potter, and her beloved daughter, whom she had raised to be Potter's wife, had died less than two years ago. Now Percy was also distancing himself from the family, unwilling to use his new position at the Ministry to help them.

The woman looked at the enchanted clock showing the status of her family. What she saw made her shudder. Almost her entire family was in the "Mortal Danger" section, and her husband and Percy had disappeared from the clock, signifying death.

Molly was about to call the dark wizards when a dagger pierced her chin, penetrating her head and going straight to her brain. Finally, a fireball hit the house, burning it down and destroying all traces of the murder. The assassin had completed part of his mission given to him by his master. Now it was up to the remaining two brothers.

POV Side view. Egyptian Curse Control Department

Bill Weasley was late for work, as usual. The pharaoh's tomb had been found, and he still had to check it for curses. Well, that's enough for today.

As he left the building, Bill heard a whistle, followed by a sharp pain. A powerful shot from a ghostly bow pierced his chest with an arrow. Blood flowed, and the man fell to the ground.

The ghost put his bow behind his back and dissolved into thin air, smiling in anticipation of another murder.

POV Side view. Dragon camp

Charlie Weasley was preparing the dragons for transport back to the reserve. Here, he is injecting a sleeping potion into a tailed dragon held by his colleagues' spells.

The dragonologist couldn't understand what had happened in the arena. Potter had simply calmed the animal that was supposed to kill him, but he had managed it.

When he was done, Charlie went to his tent. He had to get his things, because they were leaving tomorrow.

A ghostly assassin appears in the bushes, takes out a transparent vial and pours the liquid onto his arrow. The ghost's poison destroys the victim's soul; all that remains is to scratch it.

The ghostly arrow lands on the bow, the string slowly pulls back, and now it's flying forward, scratching Charlie's cheek. The poison hits its target, who grabs the scratch and falls to his knees, then dissolves in death.

The ghost has done its job, now it's up to the third brother. Smiling at forgotten feelings, the assassin returns to his master.

POV Side view. The corridors of Hogwarts

The third ghost was not a master of the bow or dagger like his brothers, but he was a mage and well versed in magical traps. Right now, he was sitting outside the Gryffindor dormitories, having found the room of his victims.

What should he do? A fire rune or a frost rune? No, that won't work. They are too far apart. A thunder rune, then? A chain lightning should do the trick. Having made his decision, the ghost enters the room where his victims are sleeping. Kill them in their sleep? No, that's not his style.

Having set the runes, the ghost began to wait for his victims to wake up.

Finally, one of the victims wakes up, apparently to go to the toilet, gets out of bed, and steps on the rune. A white flash illuminates the room, then a second one strikes the last victim. The assassin is pleased with himself; he has fulfilled his master's will without changing his style. It's time to return.

End of POV Side view

Three ghosts appeared before me. I hadn't been sitting there doing nothing all this time. While the ghosts were busy, I went to get the sixth one. It was easy to sneak into their living room and then into the bedroom.

I put the painting blocking the passage to the lions' bedroom to sleep and then simply opened it. Under the cover of invisibility, I found the sixth one's room. Nothing too complicated, I didn't come up with anything fancy. I just ripped out his soul and devoured it, ensuring he would have "pleasant" sensations in my stomach, where his energy would be drained.

Having received confirmation that my targets had been eliminated, I dispelled the ghosts until the next call, and now I went to my beloved beauties. Actually, it's been a long time since I should have dealt with the redheads. Maybe I should eliminate Malfoy? No, not yet, the main problem in the form of Lucius has already been devoured by me, and Draco is too weak to do anything serious to me."Al, where did you go?" Lily asked sleepily.

"Dealing with a redhead problem, go back to sleep, everything's fine..." I said, kissing the girl and transferring the energy of the soul I had absorbed.

Lily stirred, pressing herself against me, which woke up her sisters, who saw the silver mist around Lily's mouth. Their pleading, cat-like gaze melted me, hmm... Kitties? Ears and tails... I'll remember that. Kissing the girls, I passed on the remnants of the redhead's soul to them. This energy would give them more strength. Settling down among the loving and contented girls, I fell asleep.

After Weasley's death, Aurors were at the school for a week, but no one could understand anything. His parents and one of his brothers were burned to death, Ron and Charlie died of cardiac arrest, and the twins were struck by lightning, which somehow found its way into the teenagers' bedroom. The eldest of the brothers was found stabbed to death with his pockets empty; apparently, someone had managed to rob the corpse. A multitude of questions and a lack of answers led the investigation to a dead end. Rumours circulated among the students for a couple of days, but then they simply died down; people had other things to worry about than redheads.

Traditionally, the champions and their partners were supposed to open the ball. The sisters eagerly awaited Christmas, while Lily smiled sadly at them. Approaching Lily, I whispered my idea in her ear, making her smile.

I decided to go to the ball in a traditional trio, and I was right: the costume looked great on me. Adjusting my bow tie, I looked at the open door.

I froze, unable to take my eyes off the beautiful women. Daphne was dressed in a white ball gown that emphasised her beautiful figure and harmonised with her hair colour.

Astoria was the opposite of her sister. She wore an all-black dress, her hair falling freely over her bare shoulders.

Seeing my reaction, the sisters were pleased. Taking me by the arms, they dragged me to the ballroom.

The other champions were already waiting for us at the entrance with their partners. Kram was with Luna, and Fleur was with a guy I didn't know.

I winked at Veela and saw her red face full of resentment. How long can you hold out?

My gaze fell on a girl descending the steps towards us. She had dark red hair, green eyes and a green dress decorated with emeralds. She looked about 15-17 years old. She walked confidently towards me and, to the surprised looks of the champions, kissed me.

"The third?" Victor asked, but receiving no answer from me, he just grunted.

Daphne stood to my right with Lily, and Astoria stood to my left. We walked into the hall, catching enthusiastic, surprised, and envious glances. Not surprisingly, most of the glances were directed at me and the girls. Many tried to figure out who the third girl walking arm in arm with Daphne was. The only ones who recognised her were the teachers who had seen Lily as a child, but they would keep quiet.

When the music started, I moved from one girl to another, smoothly picking them up to dance. It seemed as if the girls weren't alone at all, spinning around and hiding in my arms every second. As they say, a good Dragon is good at everything.

The rest of the students joined us. Glancing at the moon, I saw brown eyes, which meant that Destiny was here. Kram and my girls went to get drinks, and Destiny was already standing next to me. Taking her hand, the girl smiled and followed me.

"Nice to see you, I miss you. Too bad I can't dance with the others.

"Haha, Aldi, didn't anyone tell you that dancing with Death is dangerous? She's always tripping over her own feet!

"Well, what about Magic?

"Well... All three of us are terrible dancers." To prove her point, the girl stepped on my foot. "We don't have many partners to practise with.

"Then we'll have to fix that.

At the end of the dance, Destiny leaned in to kiss me, but I stopped her. The girl pouted indignantly. But a second later, her brown eyes turned grey, signalling the return of the moon.

The rest of the evening was fun. No one tried to ask Daphne and Astoria to dance, knowing about their engagement. But Lily... She turned everyone down, and then started repelling guys with electric shocks.

When the ball ended and the disco began, we left the hall and went to our living room, where we continued our pleasant evening, and I remembered the ears and tails.

Having created the necessary accessories, I reached for the pendant around Lily's neck, which made her look younger, but I bumped into Lily's hand covering it.

"No, today I want to be younger, almost the same age as you.

"You're already several thousand years younger than me, but whatever you want..." I said, putting the ears on the girl.

Daphne and Astoria were already happily twirling their tails...
