Chapter 80 - Night descent.

Whoosh.

Blow.

Ha-ha-ha. – His joy knew no bounds.

Blow.

Blow.

Bang.

Whoosh.

Blow.

For the first time in a long while, he was getting such pleasure from a battle, when the enemies were neither stronger nor weaker, but equal. A battle – pure pleasure and risk, where the slightest mistake could be the last. But he did not care about all the risks; he had one thing in his head – to dispel the boredom of his monotonous life.

Fighting the strong was more useful, but there the chance was one on one. Fighting the weak – it was pure boredom.

— Give, give, give, just give me control over the body!

— Go to hell.

— Huh!?

— Even if I wanted to, how would I do it?

Bang.

Leaping back from an ogre's blow, his smile grew even wider, if that was even possible.

Whoosh.

Blow.

The ogre's head flew into the air, and the magic stone fell with a thud. He lingered his gaze on the magic stone for a couple of seconds. His backpack was already bursting with magic stones. And for the first time, he thought that he needed a helper. But he immediately dismissed these thoughts because of his poor trust in adventurers. He, of course, understood: if one is like that, then not all are. For example, if one elf kills and rapes their victim, then one should not believe all. But if such rumors about elves, who kill without reason and rape everyone they meet, spread, then, without realizing it, people will start perceiving all elves that way.

But, thank the gods, elves don't do that… do they really not?

— It ripped! What junk.

Trying to shove a magic stone into the backpack, it began to tear, and very rapidly.

— What did you expect? You bought the cheapest one, so now enjoy it.

— Shut up! It happens to everyone!

Bang.

— Ahah, how quickly the new ones appeared.

Dodging a blow to the back from just-spawned orcs. As expected, they appeared much faster than during the day. He was already starting to tire a little, but when he saw new victims, all his fatigue turned into anticipation of a new battle.

Whoosh.

Blow.

– First!

Blow.

– Second!

Whoosh.

Blow.

– Thir…

Bang.

Kh, kh.

He coughed up blood.

Looking at the fifth ogre, he had noticed it at the last moment, so he had blocked most of the blow, but even so, the blow was quite strong. I had relaxed too much, so it would not happen again. He began to forget how dangerous the dungeon was. His grip on the sword grew stronger, and his smile faded a little, and his gaze became fixed, taking a battle stance.

Whoosh.

Bang.

Blow.

And the ogre's head flew into the air.

— Fifth… I almost managed… my body lacks strength and agility.

— What did you expect? Did you think our skill would overcome the physical limits of level two?

— Yes, I thought so.

His answer followed immediately.

— Me too.

Kane agreed immediately.

They had only recently started a conversation on this topic, and both agreed that it was a good opportunity. So they both focused on one of Ais's blows, or rather, on her lunge. And they trained every day until they could fully replicate it. And then he tried to copy her fully, every slightest movement. And he succeeded, for which he was even praised by Ais. But that was not enough for him, for he had copied the technique, but he still wanted to copy her strength and speed. But it would not work, so their night outing was only for this.

But with every monster killed, they understood that they did not have time to use it to the full, because he had to be focused. And when this opportunity was given to them, all his thoughts were on Ais's movements, on her gleaming skin, on her beautiful hair, on the movements of her arms and legs, on her breathing. He wanted to fully copy her technique; of course, he could copy the best of this technique.

But there was the biggest drawback – his level two body. So his enthusiasm for his skill waned a little. And he found the first thing he could not copy in any way, and that was physical abilities.

— Maybe the skill can…

But he stopped mid-sentence, understanding that his next words were complete nonsense.

— Maybe we need to focus more.

— No, Kopii! I've understood the mistake, so now give me control over your body, and you'll see the result.

— Ah, are you mocking me!?

He exhaled, beginning to slowly get irritated at his impossible request.

— You haven't even tried!

— Why should I try, if I don't even want to.

Throwing away the smaller magic stones and shoving in the newly obtained magic stones. The more he looked at the backpack, the more he thought about whether it would hold up. He cast glances from the dungeon corridor to the backpack. A difficult choice lay before him: go further, but stop picking up magic stones, or replace them with smaller ones. But there was a chance the backpack would not survive until then.

Or he could leave it at the ascent to the upper floors and go further. But then he would have nothing to put magic stones in. But then the point of killing monsters would diminish. But would it diminish that much? He asked himself, scratching his chin, pretending to be in deep thought, but he perfectly understood what he would already do.

And that was definitely to buy a new backpack. But first, he had to descend lower, because experience was much better than money. But in some cases, if this experience could bring much more money than there was, then it was definitely worth it. Safely hiding the backpack near the ascent to the ninth floor, hoping that no one would find it.

Crack.

— Hmmm. Faster than last time. What, is the night now truly coming into its own?

Before he had gone far, monsters spawned again, but this time, there were many more of them than last time. Showing with their whole appearance that night had definitely come. But that was exactly what he had been waiting for.

He descended to the thirteenth floor and spent almost the whole night there. As if nothing had happened.

— Stolen.

— Ha-ha-ha. How can it be, I told you.

— Shut up!

Examining every corner, I could not find even a hint of my backpack.

— Who dared!

— So these are your things, cutie~.

— Huh!? What?

Not far from me stood an Amazon. The more he looked at the features of her face, the more it seemed to him that he had seen her somewhere. But his wariness quickly turned to joy when he saw in her hands his dear backpack.

— I'm asking, is this yours?

Lifting the backpack with one hand, looking at him intently and slyly. At such a gaze, a wave of goosebumps ran through his body.

Not waiting for an answer, she took a step towards me. I unconsciously took a step back. He was uneasy at the expression on her face. Her sly smile, as if this scene were just a game to her.

Step.

Step.

Step.

Step.

With every step of hers, her smile grew wider and wider, and amusement began to blaze in her eyes. Unconsciously, his grip on the sword became so strong that his knuckles turned white.

Step.

Step.

Step.

Step.

Kopii's eyes widened as his hand felt the dungeon wall.

— Stop!!!

Drawing his sword from its sheath and pointing it at her.

— Oh-oh. How aggressive we are~… Don't worry, I won't hurt you~.

Starting to stroke my cheek.

— So fast!? – a thought flashed through his head.

Trying to leap away from her, but it was all useless. His body did not obey him; he could not even move a finger.

Lifting my face by the chin, I saw brown eyes that began to fully pull him in. The more he looked into those eyes, the more his mind clouded.

— KOPII!!!

A blow to her stomach. For a second, I saw shock on her face.

— How?

«Is it magic or a skill?» – There were always two choices for what it could be. He did not guess; while she was still recovering from shock, he grabbed his backpack, which she had conveniently dropped.
