Chapter 49 - Updated specifications.

"Hearing hurried footsteps and shouts that he couldn't have run far, Kopii guessed: they were looking for him.

He turned in here. Hearing it, Kopii's heart pounded wildly. He hoped they would just pass by.

"He couldn't have run far," Aisha said they found him on the twelfth floor. So, he's on the second level. But still, he couldn't have run far.

Twelfth floor… I've descended so deep. It turned out to be more dangerous than Kopii thought.

"Maybe he's hiding somewhere." These words made Kopii break out in a cold sweat. "They won't find me," he hoped, hoping for luck for the first time. Hearing the receding footsteps and voices, Kopii exhaled. Time passed; he didn't know how much, but he knew for sure that it had been more than an hour. His limbs went numb. "Maybe everything has calmed down?" Slowly climbing out of the trash can, Kopii thought, "Lucky no one came to throw out the trash." Stretching his numb limbs, he surveyed his surroundings. He didn't have time when he was being chased. Everything was so bright, even at night - lanterns adorned the streets.

Emerging from the alley, continuing to survey the area, he noticed that there were a lot of girls in revealing outfits. "Only one district comes to mind," he thought. The entertainment district. He could, of course, be wrong, because he had never been here. But if it's true, then it turns out he was saved by the Ishtar family.

People shied away from Kopii, and he looked at them understandingly. He was all dirty, and most importantly, there was the smell. But Kopii didn't care; it only worked to his advantage. Walking in the direction he thought the exit was, he walked for quite a while, but still didn't get out. Not knowing the area was taking its toll. "I've already been here. How could I have made a circle?" He acted carefully, but because of this, without realizing it, he made a circle.

"Shouldn't have turned there; should have gone straight." Regretting his choice, he chose a different route. He wouldn't turn anywhere now. "I won't make that mistake again."

And over time, the prostitutes became more and more numerous. Kopii immediately realized he was on the right track. "After all, where there's an entrance, there's an exit." It was logical. And finally, he was able to get out of the entertainment district. "Thank you for saving me, but the body belongs to me."

Kopii quickened his pace; he wanted to take a shower as soon as possible. And most importantly, Kopii would address the problem of his thirst more seriously; he could no longer descend into the dungeons so foolishly. He needed to change tactics. Kopii realized one thing: his willpower was lower than his thirst. So, trying to suppress the thirst was pointless and, at the same time, risky.

Kopii stopped in a daze. "Since when did I start underestimating the dungeons? He has already descended into the dungeons twice, and if he was lucky the first time and quickly recovered, the second time he was saved. If it's so risky, then why did he descend?

I wouldn't have done that before, so unreasonably and dangerously. Maybe I relaxed in the three weeks since I didn't descend." Resuming his previous pace, getting closer and closer to the blue pharmacy, he realized that he would have to buy new equipment again. Such thoughts made Kopii frown; they already had money problems, and lately, he hadn't been very useful.

With such thoughts, entering the blue pharmacy, Kopii quickly took a shower. Lying on the bed, he began to think about what he could do with the thirst. How many times had he thought about it, but he still hadn't gotten any closer to understanding the thirst, to its secret, and how to deal with it. But he knew how it could theoretically be suppressed, but he couldn't execute it in any way.

For the first time in a long time, he didn't know what to do. He was at an impasse. Absolute incomprehension of what to do next. He had tried so many hypotheses that he didn't know where to strive next. Until he resolves the issue of thirst, he will not descend into the dungeons.

He realized one thing: that thirst is a one-way ticket. Well, in most likelihood. Either he was lucky, or he quickly took control, or he was saved. Yes, thirst saved him once, but it was an exception to the rule. Just luck. He knew one thing: always relying on luck is the peak of stupidity.

He decided to put these thoughts aside and go to sleep. But no matter how hard he tried, thoughts still crept into his head, disturbing his sleep. But even so, he began to fall asleep quickly. "Apparently, I haven't been completely exhausted," were his last thoughts before falling asleep.

Kopii woke up from the bright sunlight streaming through the slits in the curtains. His head was buzzing, and his body ached from the uncomfortable position in which he fell asleep. Thoughts about thirst returned again. About how useless he was.

Kopii exhaled, getting out of bed, quickly dressed, and left the room. He headed to Miyaha's room, hoping that he was still here and hadn't gone somewhere. Knocking on Miyaha's door, Kopii thought, "He's probably not here." But Kopii's thoughts were interrupted by Miyaha's voice:

"Come in, Kopii."

Entering the room, seeing Miyaha at his workstation, he asked:

"How did you know it was me?"

"Just guessed," he said, smiling. "But to be honest, Naaza rarely comes to my room. He's knee-deep in work. But okay, Kopii, that's not the point right now, did you want something?"

"Yes," he nodded, approaching Miyaha and taking off his outer clothing. "I haven't updated my stats in a long time." Sitting on the chair, turning his back to Miyaha.

"Oh, that's right. We haven't updated in a while," approaching Kopii and pricking his finger, Kopii felt cold from the drop of blood.

"Very unexpected, Kopii." Approaching his desk, taking a piece of paper, writing quickly, and extending it to Kopii, Miyaha said, "Look, Kopii, I didn't even expect it; I thought the trip would slow down your growth. But apparently, I was wrong. You grew too fast."

Taking the sheet of paper from Miyaha's hands.

[Copying] "You can be whoever you want, but not yourself."

He froze in shock; he couldn't believe his eyes; it wasn't fast; it was impossibly fast. "How is this supposed to be understood; is it even possible?" He clearly remembered that he had only gone to the dungeon twice after the last update. Looking at Miyaha's face, he still had the same smile. He didn't understand.

"Miyaha-sama, aren't you surprised?" he said enthusiastically; his mood improved from what he saw.

"No, Kopii, I'm surprised, but not that much. I didn't expect your stats to jump so quickly… But…"

"What 'but'?"

"I think that your rapid growth is somehow related to your skill. It's actually the only thing that explains why you have such rapid growth. I don't understand what your skill does, but I think it somehow affects the raising of stats."

After listening to Miyaha without interrupting, Kopii thought, "Maybe it's true that I have rapid growth thanks only to the skill, but that is my talent, isn't it? Wasn't I born with this skill? So, it turns out I was special from birth?" Continuing to look at Miyaha, without realizing it, he had a smile on his face.

"You know, you can advance to the second level. You'll set a new record for leveling up."

"You know, Miyaha-sama, looking at this piece of paper, I don't understand one thing. Is it even possible for SS to be more than a thousand?"

"Yes, Kopii, it's possible. It depends on how strong you will be in the second level."

"In what sense? Well, look, Kopii, I'm facing this for the first time, with such rapid growth and that you have only S's. I've seen it only once, that one was S, for example, at Naaza. She didn't have S strength. Well, Kopii, she raised her first level when there was only one S. But you have almost all S, except for magic. Well, you even have SS."

"So what about it, Miyaha-sama?"

"Well, if you go to the second level now, you will be stronger than Naaza when she went to the second level. Got it?"

"Stronger?" he wondered. "It turns out that with what stats you move to the next level also strongly affects how strong you will be?"

"Yes."

After Miyaha's confirmation, Kopii pondered. His endurance was SS, then he could raise other stats to such a mark. "
