Fenja didn't say anything, she only followed Dax and on their way to the car, she didn't talk much. She was tired and wanted to sleep.
Therefore, she didn't even ask about why the alpha didn't come. She thought if it was important, Dax or Ganter would tell her, thus to see them said nothing, she chose to sleep on their way back to the pack house.
Dax woke her up when they arrived and opened the door for her.
"Thank you," Fenja said in small voice and wave them goodbye.
After that, she entered the house and to her surprised, she found alpha Jaxon was sitting in the living room, drinking his wine, as if there was nothing happened.
He smirked when he saw her walked in.
"You look beautiful in that dress," Jaxon commented, but his complemented sounded like he was mocking her.
"Thank you," Fenja said briefly. She didn't know which personality she was facing right now and didn't seem to care to find out, therefore she walked straight toward her bedroom, but Jaxon's next word hurt her.
"How was your dinner? Nice?"
Fenja turned around and looked at him, she could tell that this was his cruel personality, even the way he spoke was different.
"It's nice, I ate so many things and now I am full, so I am very grateful for the dinner."
***
Fenja didn't know what Jaxon wanted to say to her about the dinner he didn't attend, but she didn't have the energy for that and wanted to sleep immediately.
"What a pity I didn't come."
Fenja nodded and then left, but the way she ignored Jaxon only made the alpha upset, he stood up and grabbed her elbow.
"I have not yet done talking with you, where are you going?" Jaxon glared at her. This woman was being difficult now. He should kill her right away when he had a chance.
"I want to change my dress," Fenja replied truthfully, somehow her head felt so heavy. She was so tired and sleepy.
"Do I give you a permission?"
Fenja frowned. "Alpha, do you need me for something?"
Jaxon didn't like this, he wanted to snap her neck and watch her writhing in pain and begged for his mercy. He wanted to hear her screaming.
"Drink with me," Jaxon said.
"Pardon me?"
"Do I have to repeat myself?" Jaxon shoved the wine glass in his hand to her. "Drink this."
Fenja blinked her eyes. "But, I have never drunk alcohol before," she said in a small voice. She could smell this wine and she didn't like it.
"There is always the first time," Jaxon smirked.
Probably, it was a nice thing to not kill her right away, she was very innocent, he wanted to play with her for a while, before he killed her.
"Drink this. Finish it."
Fenja took the glass and lifted her head. "After that, can I return to my room?"
Jaxon tilted his head. "Drink three more glass and I will allow you to go back to your room."
Fenja looked at the glass, this was not a big glass. Three glasses of this would be fine, right? "Okay," she agreed without a second thought.
She gulped down the red liquid inside in a single gulp, but then she coughed so hard when she felt it burned her throat.
Why it tasted so bad?!
Fenja scowled. "I don't like it."
Jaxon laughed when Fenja made that expression. He had never been this excited before. "There are still two glasses to go before you can sleep."
Jaxon walked away and brought the bottle with him, he poured it to the brim. This was not how you drank the wine, but Jaxon didn't care. He wanted her to drink that.
"Drink."
"The previous one, is not as full as this."
"It should be full."
Fenja wanted to protest, but she felt her heart was burning. Suddenly the room became very hot and this dress was very uncomfortable. Her blood was boiling. What happened with her?
She really wanted to go back to her room. She wanted to lay down her head and rest.
"Drink."
Fenja stopped herself from protesting and drank the wine. She had to take a deep breath a few times before she could gulp down the entire glass.
But when she was done, she couldn't stand still. The glass slipped from her hand and fell to the floor, which made a loud noise, but not only that, her legs gave away too and she fell on top of the sharp shard of the glasses.
Jaxon could have prevented her from falling on the sharp glasses, but he didn't do anything, he stood there and watched her.
Fenja whimpered when the sharp shard pierced her skin and blood oozed out from the wound. She needed to stand up, but she couldn't.
Her body felt very heavy, as if there was something that weighing her down, not to mention the headache.
"What is it? You still need to drink one more glass, remember?" Jaxon was rather surprised that two glasses of wine could affect Fenja this much. Even human wouldn't have this strong reaction.
It could be because Fenja was still 'injured' since she lost her wolf spirit, yet no one thought about that at this moment.
"I- I can't…" Fenja stuttered, she was scared because she had never felt this way before. Her vision turned blurry and she had a hard time to breath, as if someone stepped on her chest. "I- I can't breath…"
Jaxon laughed when he watched her struggling. Instead, he walked away to get another glass and poured the wine.
"Drink this and you can go back to your room." He was happy that he didn't kill her right away, because he could 'play' with her for a while.
She was not as boring as he thought.
"Get up and drink this…"
However, Fenja didn't get up, she kept clutching her chest and breathed raggedly. Her face had turned red.
