Mei Shen sat beside him, her hands folded neatly in her lap, eyes soft as she observed her children. They were… happy. Whole. It was a rare feeling after all the storms they had weathered together.
"I can't believe how much they've grown." Mei Shen murmured, voice warm, almost breathless. She reached out, brushing a stray lock of Huan's hair from his forehead. "They're no longer children. They've become… incredible."
Lianwei's gaze softened as he followed her line of sight. "Yes. Bai He… Huan… You've both become more than I ever hoped for. Strong, kind… clever, stubborn… perfect in every way a parent could wish for."He said.
