Chapter 199: Swordsman
In the village of Polarus, the seraph, the running skeleton, saw a castle with a single wall, surrounded by members of the Lanna Sect.
The skeletons, trying to run towards the castle, were all killed by
a Lanna Sect warrior. Boom!
The seraph ran around and saw a fire emanating from outside the castle.
The seraph shouted, "Help! I'm here! Someone help me!!"
The seraph shouted, looking behind him. The skeletons were trying to hunt the seraph.
Ahead of the seraph, a skeleton with red eyes ran towards him to take him down.
The man fighting the skeletons outside the castle wall shouted, "Hey! There's a child over there! Send someone to help!"
The man shouted, unable to escape from this place.
The sound of the fighting against the enemies in front of him made it impossible to stop himself from doing anything else.
A young woman, fighting with a lazy expression, stood at the forefront.
She had deep red eyes and waist-length, red-black hair. She wore a Lanna court robe, a beautiful face.
Holding a sword with two overlapping circles on it, her name was Phalen. She was twenty-four years old.
"I'll go myself. Please take care of this place."
"Understood. Hurry up!"
Phalen raised her hand and looked at the skeleton in front of her.
"Understood..." Phalen said in a sluggish tone, like someone who had no energy to eat.
His eyes were almost closed, and he swung his sword, slicing the skeleton in front of him in half. Boom!
Phalen shot across the skeletons, soaring into the sky. Whoosh!
Phalen charged straight towards the seraph, over the skeletons looking up. Whoosh!
The seraph, running at full speed, began to run away from the castle. Whoosh! Boom!
An explosion struck the seraph.
Phalen landed at his destination. "Time to escape, kid! You made it all the way here!"
Seraph shouted, seeing the skeleton behind him. "Watch your back!"
Phalen prepared to swing his sword and slash at the skeleton. Phalen looked up at the sky.
He saw something resembling a rock coming toward him. It was about the size of a person, coming at high speed.
Phalen jumped back. Whoosh! As he dodged, he grabbed Seraph and evaded him. Whoosh! Boom!
Phalen ran away at full speed, using his left hand to pull Seraph's shirt and run.
Phalen turned to look in the direction the rock was coming from, his eyes filled with idle rage.
He saw a bony, monkey-like creature with green eyes staring at Phalen.
He was as big as a house, with a body made of bone.
Phalen floated to a stop, away from the castle.
"I guess I'm overworked." Don't forget the bonus!
Phalen grabbed the seraph's collar and dodged. Whoosh!
The rocks the green monkey had picked up were numerous and shot straight at Phalen. Whoosh!
Boom!
Phalen dodged at breakneck speed. Rocks the size of a human head were about to hit Phalen's brain.
Phalen swung his sword to destroy the rocks. Whoosh!
Phalen watched the distance gradually increase from the castle guarded by the Lanna warriors.
Phalen was getting further away, being chased by the green monkey. Whoosh!
The green monkey ran to a stop in front of Phalen. His right hand grabbed a rock and swung it. Whoosh!
Phalen created a red light, its bird-like shape blocking the attack.
The red light seemed fainter than usual, but the center was especially intense.
Boom!
Phalen dodged far back. Whoosh! His expression remained lazy. Whoosh! Boom!
Phalen crashed into a house. Boom!
Phalen let go of Seraph's collar and stood up lazily.
"So strong. Is this a bone monkey-type demon?"
Seraph stood motionless, looking towards the castle, which was impossible to approach if the green monkey was still standing in his way.
[What the hell are you doing? I'm only a little bit away from getting into the shelter. These evil people are truly despicable.]
"What should I do, sir?"
Phalen stood up. Inside the house, a lightbulb was shaking and the dining table had been smashed in the impact just a moment ago.
The door to the house shattered, revealing the green monkey running towards him.
"Well, little one, I guess you'll have to follow me. That demon shouldn't be allowed near our shelter."
Seraph nodded. "It would be an honor. I'll find a way to escape. So, would you mind stalling for that demon?"
[Go with you... Who would want to go after finding a shelter? I have to get in." Never mind the other matters.]
Phalen yawned, his sword trembling slightly.
"I'm so sleepy. It's nighttime. Why are we fighting? Alright, kid. Do as you please."
Phalen walked out of the house, his left hand raised, pulling his eyes upwards to wake him.
His eyes were wide open, his sword pointed at the green monkey. "Come on, you little brat!"
The green monkey charged at Phalen. Boom!
The green monkey charged forward and threw a punch at Phalen. Whoosh!
Phalen thrust his sword into the green monkey's hand. Boom! Boom!
Red energy from the sword appeared, and Phalen smiled.
"What a shame. I thought I'd take a little time off. I can't help it. Goodbye!"
Phalen thrust his sword, destroying the green monkey's right arm. Boom!
The green monkey swung his foot and struck Phalen's torso. Whoosh!
Phalen swung his sword back to block the attack. Boom! Boom!
The green monkey's strength was immense. He pushed Phalen back. Whoosh!
Phalen took a deep breath, and circled the edge of the sword. Red Light
"Lanna Sect Sword Technique, Double Vortex"
Two rings appeared at the tip of Phalen's sword.
A red light created a ring, splitting the green monkey's head apart. Boom!
The two rings destroyed the green monkey's head as his feet attacked. Boom!
Phalen looked at the green monkey's body as it collapsed to the ground. "It's over. Time to go to sleep," he said.
Phalen turned to look at the skeletons fighting the Lanna Sect members.
Phalen walked towards the group of skeletal figures, their backs bent, showing the appearance of an old man. "Lanna Sect Elder, do something. I'm extremely tired."
Phalen turned to look at Seraph. "Follow me, little one. I'll take you to safety."
Seraph nodded and took a step forward. [Very good. If you're this good, why would you take me away with you? Are there people like this? While the others were struggling. This one's going to sleep.]
A sound of something rushing to a stop in front of Seraph. BOO ... Better than our masters.
Phalen tilted his head in question, his expression returning to its usual lazy state.
"Why should I fight? No way. Let's work together. I need energy for other things, so I refuse a one-on-one fight."
Lanzo heard the refusal easily, his eyes twitching slightly.
"What's the right time? Hurry up and take care of that guy. At least he's tired from fighting me, so this is an opportunity."
"You're joking. How can I win? If we stall for time, that's fine, but we can't win. We have to let the masters fight."
Lanzo stared at the terrified Phalen. "Stall for time. I'll call the masters or that guy. If you can't rely on him, just leave that position."
"You speak harshly, but I don't want to die yet."
