Chapter 5 - The Man Who Played for Silence

Episode 3:

[Scene – The Search for Martin]

> James: "I'll catch him… no matter what."

> Stephen: "So, I guess we'll need someone who understands minds like his... Martin might be our best option."

They headed to the library, hoping to find him.

> Stephen: "Is Martin in?"

An employee looked up and replied, "Today's Sunday, sir. He doesn't work on Sundays. Always offline from the library on weekends."

> Stephen: "Ah… my bad. Didn't notice the day."

> James: "Any idea where he'd be then?"

> Employee: "Well, he's free today. You'll most likely find him at home."

[Scene – Martin's Mansion Garden]

They reached Martin's house. Stephen knocked, but no answer.

Suddenly, they heard the sound of a violin — soft, haunting, and beautiful.

> James: "Do you hear that? It's coming from the garden."

They followed the melody around the back. In the lush greenery, Martin stood with his eyes closed, playing the violin under the trees. The way he moved, the emotion in every note — it mesmerized them.

He finished, lowered the bow, and turned calmly.

> Martin: "Oh. I didn't notice you all. Did I disturb your thoughts?"

> Stephen: "Not at all. We were the ones who disturbed you."

> Martin (smiling): "It's fine. I like to play here. Makes me feel closer to the sky… and the silence."

> Lucas (nodding): "Honestly, you did well last time, Mr. Martin. I have to thank you."

> Martin: "Thanks for the compliment. But solving things like that… is part of my daily routine."

> Lucas: "You're the most fascinating man I've ever met."

> Martin (grinning): "Perhaps. So… what kind of case brings you here now?"

> Lucas: "A new one. A musician… a pianist. And oddly, you were just playing your violin."

Martin chuckled.

> Martin: "Coincidence? Or maybe I can see the future, Lucas."

They all laughed briefly, easing the tension.

> Martin: "I assume you want help. I have a book… very old. Talks about a serial killer pianist from 1946. He murdered 29 people, turned them into keys for his piano. But this case you're on… might be even darker."

> Lucas (raising an eyebrow): "Even darker?"

> Martin: "Yes. That killer from the past was obsessed with music. But this one? I think he's obsessed with emotion — pain turned into sound."

He handed them an old, dusty journal.

> Martin: "Let's see if your pianist… is playing a tune only monsters understand."
