The doors to Floor 7 opened not with a creak—but with a sigh, like the world itself had just exhaled. The sky overhead was not the tower's inner ceiling. Instead, they stood under a golden dusk, beneath a vast throne shaped from mountain bones and sky-torn stone.
Upon it sat a colossal beast—part wolf, part dragon, part unknowable thing. Its eye burned like collapsed stars. Its breath rumbled like galaxies colliding.
The skeleton army froze.
Even Iden felt an unfamiliar twinge of dread.
"So… you are the one."The creature's voice echoed in Iden's bones.
"I am Varnaxis, the Primebeast, sovereign of the oldest war. I grew tired of conquest. I grew bored of extinction. So I built this place. This tower. This test."
"Kill me? Impossible.""Impress me? Perhaps."
Varnaxis raised one claw the size of a warship."Endure three waves of D-tier Orc Legions—not goblins, not constructs. But war-born orcs, twice your size, ten times your rage."
"Do that, and I shall rewrite you.""Your skills will rise threefold.""You and all your minions shall gain strength worthy of a true warlord—eight levels in one breath."
Iden stepped forward.
"And if we fail?"
"Then I devour you. Slowly."
He grinned.
"Let the Ascension Trial begin."
From golden mist poured 200 Orc Raiders, armed with cleavers, tower shields, and horned helmets. They marched with bone rhythm, flanked by warhorns and siege drums.
"Alpha formation, tanks and Reapers up front!" Iden shouted."Mages, volley fire on command. Rael, pre-cast your aura!"
Skullbreaker, now a Bone Reaper, launched a pre-emptive Drill Charge and split the first line.Arclight Magi struck with lightning lattices.Warden of Ivory locked down corridors with Fortify Zones.
Still, orcs weren't mindless. They flanked.
"Echo Tracker, light the sides!""Grave Dancer, eliminate their shamans!"
As 30 minutes passed, and dust filled the air—Rael's Sanctum Pulse pulsed over the entire army, restoring their shattered limbs mid-combat.
Wave One: CompleteCasualties: 2Time Remaining: 18 hours
Now came the fast ones—150 Orc Ravagers. No armor, just raw muscle, blood-painted blades, and an immunity to pain.
They screamed into battle like a tidal wave.
"Fall back to Point Shield Line! Arrows and Mages ready pulse fire!"
But the orcs leapt over defenses.
"Builder squad—construct trench blockade NOW!""Forge Warden, Radiant Pulse to frontline!"
Half the battlefield turned orange with reinforcing beams of energy.
Widowstring Archers launched Volley StormArclight Magi activated Mana Detonation Chain
One Bone Engineer was crushed under a berserker.

Then suddenly—

As light flared, he cut through six berserkers with new power.

The ground trembled.
Out from the mist stomped a Siege Commander, four stories tall, riding a platform with 40 elite D-tier Orc Warlords. They were smarter. Organized. Each one flanked by summoned totems buffing their regeneration and attack.
"We break here or win everything," Iden growled."Synchronize everything. Nyra, link to my formation. Rael—frontline aura zone!"
All formations united into one grand structure. Skeletons formed rotating layers:
Frontline Tanks absorbing bombardment
Warden Engineers deploying on-the-fly turrets
Echo Trackers disabling hidden spells
Bone Reapers rotated to eliminate commanders
"Now—DOMINION PULSE FULL RELEASE!"
The whole army glowed.
Mass Strike Activated– Multi-class combo: Grave Dancer + Reaper + Magi
They shattered totems. Killed captains. Then:

The Siege Commander fell—brought low by Skullbreaker's Reaper Blade and a point-blank Arclight Nova.

A glowing object—neither scroll nor relic—descended like a comet of black flame.
