Ava just stared at her.
"You need the sword of life?" The mermaid asked and Ava nodded repeatedly.
"I'll give it to you if you can complete this challenge" she said.
"Sure"
"Save one of them" She said and pointed her hands to the water.
Lucian and Amy were drowning.
"The hell?" Ava said trying to enter the water but an invisible barrier stopped her.
"Stop, let them go!!" Ava yelled at the mermaid.
"Choose one of them to be freed" She said with a smile.
"I can't choose"
"Choose one or both of them dies" The mermaid said and Ava's eyes widened.
She looked at Amy and then at Lucian.
Tears formed in her eyes immediately.
"5" The mermaid started counting.
Ava looked at the mermaid then at them.
"4" She said again.
"3"
"2"
The mermaid said and Ava closed her eyes.
"1" The mermaid muttered.
"No!!! I am not choosing among them. I love them both and no one has the fúcking right to make me choose between the two people who has made my life awesome. Not even you" Ava said and opened her eyes.
Her eyes were a bright shade of golden and a bright shade of blue. The mermaid smiled as she watched Ava break through the barrier with her fist. The moment she passed the barrier, her eyes widened when she saw where she was.
She was standing on a grass, lots of flowers were around the garden and she looked at the mermaid who was in her human form already.
"We were just at the lake" Ava muttered and the mermaid just smiled.
Ava stepped back and her eyes widened again seeing the mermaid still sitting on the rock which was on top of the water. Lucian and Amy weren't there anymore.
"It was just an illusion" She concluded before stepping forward.
She was back at the garden and she sighed.
"Am glad you didn't choose any one of them" The mermaid said.
"Why?"
"Cos they both would have died" She said and Ava stared at her in shock.
The mermaid smiled and turned walking to a rock.
"Open" She muttered touching the rock and the rock divided into two. In the rock was the sword of life.
The mermaid made way for Ava.
"Go ahead" She said with a smile and Ava smiled as well moving forward. She stopped when she got to the rock and she held the sword before closing her eyes. She opened them again and pulled out the sword.
She gasped when she held the huge sword in her hands. Blue flames surrounded the sword and she smiled carrying the black sheath on the rock.
She placed the sword into the sheath and put it on her back.
"Thank you" Ava said.
"I'm just doing my job" The mermaid said.
"I'll take my leave now" Ava said with a smile and turned to go.
"I'm not supposed to do this but then you'll need all the help you can get" The mermaid said and she turned.
The mermaid closed her eyes and stretched out her palms. Blue droplets of water came out from her body forming into a round ball of energy.
She smiled and opened her eyes before directing the power to Ava. Ava closed her eyes as the energy went into her body.
"Giving her this much energy can kill her. She might go crazy with the energy inside her" Her brother said to her from behind but the mermaid didn't reply.
She dropped her hands as she watched Ava open her eyes.
"She's different. Different from the past Lunã's" The mermaid muttered.
Ava smiled feeling a cool energy surge through her body.
"Thank you" Ava said bowing to the mermaid.
"My pleasure" She said and Ava rose her head up only to find herself out of the garden but back at the forest.
She turned and ran back to where Gorya left them. Her and Lucian arrived at the same time.
"I got the sword!!" They said at the same time and turned looking at each other.
"We got the swords!!" They said together and hugged each other happily.
They broke the hug and looked at Gorya who had a smile on her face.
"I'm glad you guys were able to get the sword. Let's go back to the clan and prepare" Gorya said and they came to her sides. She held their hands and teleported them inside the castle.
"I'll go see the vampires up north" Lucian said.
"I'll go to the black werewolves clan" Ava said and they smiled at each other.
"Ava" Gorya called and she looked at her.
"Your father killed your mother just to gain power. Enough power to destroy half of our clan" Gorya said and Ava's eyes widened.
"He killed....my mum?" Ava asked tears welling up in her eyes.
"I'm so sorry for your loss" Lucian said and Ava just stared at Gorya as tears rolled down her eyes.
"Don't do what you plan on doing. Turn that rage into your weapon and use it to defeat your father tomorrow" Gorya said and Ava closed her eyes inhaling and exhaling.
Lucian came to her front and wiped the tears on her face. She opened her eyes and he smiled.
"We'll make him pay for all the lives he took. He's going to suffer immensely Ava, that I promise" Lucian said and she smiled hugging him tightly.
"Thank you" She said breaking the hug. She looked at Gorya and hugged her tightly.
"Thanks so much" She said and Gorya reciprocated the hug.
"My pleasure" Gorya replied and broke the hug..
"You know the way to the black werewolves clan?" She asked and Ava shook her head.
"I know" Amy said from the door and they directed their gazes to her.
"Amy" Ava called and rushed to hug her. She reciprocated and broke the hug.
"I'll take you there" Amy said and Ava smiled.
Ava looked over at Eddie who smiled before going to Lucian.
She kissed his cheeks before going back to Amy.
Amy and Ava left the castle.
