NEXT DAY ~~ GARBERVILLE ~~ LUCIAN'S MANSION
Ava was sleeping peacefully in Lucian's arms as he brought her into his mansion.
He walked past the guards and maids as he sped upstairs entering his mum's room.
His mum was laying peacefully on the bed. Eyes closed and breathing slow.
Normally a vampire shouldn't age that quickly but her case was different. She did something when she was young and it affected her greatly.
Sensing Lucian's presence, she opened her eyes and looked at his direction.
"Is that your soon to be wife?" She asked, smiling widely.
He inhaled before nodding.
Ava's eyes opened slowly and she looked at the man carrying her then she looked around.
"Where am I?"
"My second mansion"
"How long was I out?" She asked.
"A day" He said and she got down from him forcefully.
"I'mma kill the person who threw darts at me" She said,
"I ordered a vampire to do it" He said and she shot him a hard glare.
"Why would you do that huh?" She yelled.
A loud laughter was heard and Ava turned to where the laughter came from. She blinked when she saw a woman laying on the bed.
Lucian's eyes widened.
His mother hasn't laughed like this since she fell ill. He slowly smiled.
"Urm, who is she?" Ava whispered to Lucian.
"My mother"
"What am I doing here huh?" She asked and then she realized something.
"No fucking way!!!" She yelled and started running out of the room but Lucian sped to her front holding her still by the shoulder.
He took them out of the room and out of the mansion. They were in the forest and she blinked.
"You're really fast" She muttered.
"You will marry me" He said and she threw his hands off.
"Hell no!!! It's already a taboo for me to live in your castle, now I'll get married to you....hell no!!!" She yelled.
He inhaled hard.
"You're paying me back for when I saved you back then"
"I never asked you to help me, Lucian" She said,
"But had it been for me, you'd be long dead. Your dad and mom would be mourning your death right now" He said.
"You think they'd care?" She asked.
"If your dad didn't, he wouldn't have sent a werewolf to keep tabs on you" He said and her eyes widened.
"Really?" She asked and thought for a while.
"Okay fine! I'll agree" She said and he stood straight with a smirk.
"I have a condition though"
"What is it?" He asked.
"I want to be allowed to explore and to also visit my clan"
"Done" He said and she smiled.
He held her hand and sped them back to his mansion and into his mother's room.
His guard brought a document and handed it to them.
Ava signed the document same as Lucian meaning they are legally married in the vampire world.
A pin was given to Ava and she pressed it into her thumb making a little blood come out. She placed it on the document and Lucian did the same.
"No going back after this master! I hope you don't regret it" The guard said and sped off.
"Good morning ma'am" Ava said with a smile.
"You've got a good wife, Lucian. Treat her well" His mum said to him and he scoffed.
"And you werewolf, the fact that my son chose you out of other vampire females should make you know that if you by any chance betray him in any way possible, I will kill you myself" She said and Ava's eyes widened.
"Huh?"
"You think it's not possible when I am gone right?"
"No not that. I won't betray him. You should be telling him that" Ava said glaring at Lucian.
"You both shouldn't betray each other. You're going to be one soon so treat each other right" She said and Ava groaned inwardly.
"Both of you, come here" she said and they walked to her bed squatting beside it.
She opened her palm.
"Interlock your fingers and place it on my palm" She said and Ava looked at Lucian.
He held her hand and then put it on his mum's palm.
"I give you both my blessings" She said and looked at Lucian.
"I love you son. Try to be happy" She said and he smiled.
"I love you too" He said and that's it, her eyes closed.
He let go of her hands immediately speeding off.
She looked at his mum and wondered why she died. Then she realized something, her heart was actually beating.
"But she was a vampire" She muttered and then the door opened and the guards came and took her, going to bury her in one of Lucian's favorite gardens.
She stood and walked out of the room. She stopped when she heard yelling from downstairs.
"How could you marry a werewolf, Lucian?!! How could you?!!!" She yelled at him and he kept a straight face.
"I had no choice"
"You did. You would have chosen me but instead you got married to a stupid werewolf you just met!" She snapped and then Ava jumped down doing a flip with her hair.
The two turned to her and she stood walking to Rina.
"You have no right to yell at my husband" Ava said and Rina's eyes widened.
Lucian's face was unreadable.
"You haven't even gotten married to him yet and you're calling him your husband, how disgusting" Rina said, rolling her eyes at her.
"As long as in his mother's eyes, I'm her son's love, then I'm his wife. If you want to be angry about it, go do it outside" She said and Rina moved closer to her, her eyes turning red.
"Don't get me angry"
"Same as you, Rina" Ava said with a smirk, her eyes glowing golden.
'Those eyes' Rina thought before speeding away.
Ava's eyes returned back to normal and she turned to Lucian.
He held her hand and sped out of there going back to his castle.
He let go of her hand and went to his study room.
"And then the only family he has is gone" Gorya whispered from the kitchen knowingly.
Ava heard that and she bit her lips before going upstairs to the study room.
She knocked on the door and got no reply.
"Can I come in?"
"No!"
"Okay thanks" She said and pushed the door open coming in.
"I said no. Why did you come in?" He asked not taking his eyes off a book he was reading.
In a second, he read up to 50 pages and she sighed coming to him. She took the book from him and he looked at her.
"How did I do at your mansion with Rina?" She asked.
"Give me my book"
"How did I do? Was I good or bad?" She asked, smiling.
"Give me my book" He said and she rolled her eyes.
"I did great right?" She asked and he stood.
She stood up running towards the door but he appeared in front of her and she diverted going to sit on his chair.
She crossed her legs and looked at him.
"My condolences" She said and he sped to her front leaning towards her. He rested his palms on the arms of the chair looking into her eyes.
"I don't give a damn about her death meaning I don't need your sympathy"
"You're lying" She said with a smirk.
"Leave" He said standing up straight.
"No. You didn't give me the chicken and wine yesterday!!" She snapped and he glared at her.
"It's down..." He didn't complete what he was saying when she ran out of the room heading downstairs.
"What kind of trouble did I put myself into?" He asked himself and then he realized she took the book with her.
"Ava!!" He yelled speeding downstairs.
