Chapter 208 - Chapter 208: Sorcerer Blood

"So that's it! That's how it works!"

"This ratio is perfect!"

"Hahaha! I'll definitely succeed this time!"

"Hehehe~ Hahaha~"

Just as Teacher Glasses approached the White-Bearded Wizard's laboratory door, he heard a series of bizarre laughter erupting from within. He couldn't help but shudder. Rumor had it that Professor Anaxa had berated the White-Bearded Wizard into unconsciousness, but he didn't know what had happened afterward. Now, seeing this, he wondered if the wizard had gone completely mad.

Still, Teacher Glasses steeled his nerves and knocked on the door.

"What do you want?!" A furious voice immediately snapped from inside. Teacher Glasses replied, "It's me. I wanted to ask you a question, Teacher."

Recognizing his student's voice, the White-Bearded Wizard allowed him to enter. The moment Teacher Glasses stepped inside, he saw the wizard disheveled, his hair a mess, dark circles under his eyes—as if he hadn't slept in days.

"I'm very busy right now," the White-Bearded Wizard said curtly. "Get to the point."

Upon hearing this, the bespectacled teacher swiftly retrieved the shattered Crystal Ball and explained the Raging Magic Power contained within. Only then did the White-Bearded Wizard show a flicker of interest. He took the Crystal Ball, examined it closely, and pondered for a moment before saying, "The Magic Power within a normal Wizard's body is uniform. This special Magic Power, carrying a distinct elemental attribute, is usually found in Sorcerers—no, perhaps it's rare even among Sorcerers."

In a fantasy setting, this would likely be something like a draconic bloodline.

The bespectacled teacher blinked, asking, "So, Teacher, are you suggesting that my student is actually a Sorcerer?"

The White-Bearded Wizard replied, "That seems likely. Moreover, she's a Sorcerer with an exceptionally strong Bloodline. Since her Sorcerer Bloodline hasn't awakened yet and she hasn't spontaneously grasped Magic, I advise you to guide her diligently, ensure she studies properly, and prevent her from straying down the wrong path!"

The "wrong path" here refers to the temptation to slack off. When someone can spontaneously grasp Magic simply by sleeping, complacency becomes the norm. Is there truly any need to work hard at learning Magic?

But if there truly was a student diligently studying magic, with a sharp mind, a genuine desire to become a wizard, and a Sorcerer Bloodline with decent talent, their future prospects would be immeasurable!

The Teacher, of course, recognized this. He nodded and said, "That child studies with remarkable diligence! She would never stray from the right path!"

On the way back, the Teacher was already fantasizing about the glorious future where he would mentor a Legendary Wizard!

He slipped his hands into his pockets, only to suddenly feel something. He pulled it out and saw it was the feather Hyacine had given him. Only then did he realize that since Hyacine had indeed broken the Crystal Ball, she likely knew it herself. Yet during class, she hadn't exposed his lie; instead, she played along and even offered compensation.

"That child is just too adorable! She's a little angel!" As he marveled, the Teacher finally had a moment to examine the feather properly. "So this is... huh? Holy crap!?"

He hadn't noticed it before, but the feather pulsed with an unimaginable concentration of Wind Elemental Magic Power. It was like a neighbor's child accidentally breaking your thousand-dollar figurine and then casually handing you the keys to a Ferrari as compensation.

As a wizard of the Transmutation School, the Teacher could immediately think of at least ten powerful magic items that could be crafted from just this single feather!

The Teacher's expression froze in shock. "Ah... ah?"

In truth, Hyacine hadn't intentionally caused the incident and had even apologized. The Teacher didn't blame her at all; even if she hadn't offered any compensation, it would have been fine. But then she went and presented him with such a grand treasure.

The Teacher swallowed hard, now suspecting that the girl had no idea of the feather's true significance, which was why she had given it away so freely. After a moment of inner struggle, reason finally prevailed over greed. "No, I must return this to her."

Meanwhile, Hyacine remained blissfully unaware of the profound impact the casually gifted feather—shed by Little Ica—had on the Teacher. She was currently taking Pela to her home to play.

Her exact words were, "Pela-dear, my house is pretty big. Wanna come hang out for a while?"

Pela replied, "But doesn't Teacher Anaxagoras live with you? Wouldn't it be awkward if I came over?"

Hyacine said, "It's fine. Professor Anaxa has moved into the Transmutation Tower. I'm all alone at home now, and it's so boring!"

This was indeed the case. Anaxa had converted his assigned room in the Transmutation Tower into living quarters and begun studying various forms of magic there. His daily routine was simple: borrow books from the Grand Library, bring them back to the tower to read, and exchange them for a new batch once finished.

Notably, during his second visit to the library, the tenth-floor librarian, upon seeing him again, wore an expression as if he'd seen a ghost. He stammered, "You... you really became a Gold-tier Wizard? Just in the past few days?"

Anaxa, however, had no interest in chatting with the man. Ignoring him completely, he simply went upstairs to borrow more books.

Returning to Hyacine's perspective, she and Pela strolled along, chatting. What topics would two young girls typically discuss? Gossip about classmates, recent movies, online news?

No, no, no, none of those things existed in the Arcane Federation. Their conversations revolved entirely around magic and their studies.

Normally, with Hyacine being so adorable, it would be perfectly natural for boys her age to develop feelings for her. But that wasn't the case here. Everyone's minds were completely consumed by their studies; no one had time to think about romantic matters.

Pela asked, "Little Hyacine, which School do you like best? Which School do you want to join in the future?"

Hyacine replied, "Definitely the Transmutation School! If I graduate smoothly from the Basic Campus, I'll definitely go find Teacher Anaxa again. What about you, Pela? Which School do you want to join?"

Then, Hyacine saw Pela, the adorable girl, smile and say, "The Necromancy School!"

Hyacine: "?"

Pela explained, "It's the Healing Magic within the Necromancy School! Rather than fighting and killing, I'd much rather use magic to help others."

Only then did Hyacine breathe a sigh of relief. The image of a cute girl commanding a horde of undead in battle was simply too jarring a contrast.
