They managed to sneak Noah out just before breakfast, but as he slipped out the front door…
He passed Leonardo on the porch.
Leo looked at him. Looked down at Noah's socks (still Marco's). Looked back up.
Then said, without emotion:
"You breathe loud."
And walked inside.
Noah turned to Eleni, ghost-pale. "He heard us."
Eleni smirked, kissed his cheek, and said, "So what? You survived."
