Chapter 29 - Surprise

After the run, Arya came to Miro and he gestured for her to start attacking him.

Arya: "…" can't he give me a break first?

But thinking that the one who made the training schedule was most likely Leo, Arya could only swallow her complaints in her mouth and slowly walked towards Miro.

Restraining herself, Arya suddenly raised her fist and then punched Miro. She controlled the speed of her action, but it was still pretty fast in Miro's eyes.

Tak! Tak!

The two of them exchanged blows after blows and then Miro retreated. He took a deep breath and said, "Can you stop playing with my memory?"

Whenever he lost contact with Arya, he felt as if she had completely disappeared. This made his movement changed and he felt as if he was being manipulated by others. It was really uncomfortable.

"Sorry." Arya rubbed her nose. "This is why I don't like close combat battle."

Because she had to 'cheat' in order to avoid fighting for a long time. With her control over her strength, Arya highly doubted that she would be able to control herself from accidentally injuring others.

After all, if the gap was too big, it was very difficult not to seriously injure others.

"You…" Miro wanted to say that he's fine but in the end he sighed. "How do you plan to train?"

Arya tilted her head and smiled. "Close your eyes and attack?"

Miro: "…" are you the one who's training and not me?

But in the end, Miro really did that and tried his best to attack Arya's position. Without one's eyes, other senses became really sharp and he was able to gauge Arya's position more or less.

In this way, the two of them fought like children.

Aries passed by and laughed at their battle.

"You come up with this kind of idea… poor Pisces being beaten by you." Aries was holding her stomach and laughed out loud.

Arya shrugged. "It's better than nothing."

Miro smiled sheepishly, not telling Aries that the training was also good for him.

"Anyway, if you plan to train this way, I will tell Leo to arrange more training for you two," Aries said leisurely.

Arya and Miro: "…"

"Anyway, what does a journalist doing here? Be careful that the media is following you," Arya interrupted before Aries arranged even more outrageous thing to them.

Aries's public identity is a journalist or could be said to be a reporter. She was responsible for reporting various incidents and has become very famous in the past few years. But it was also because of this that Aries would have difficulty going to their bases without being followed by the media.

How this woman always avoided those people was something that Arya didn't know.

"Don't worry, little girl." Aries chuckled. "They won't be able to follow me unless I want to. You should go back and rest."

"Yes~."

After Aries left, Arya bid her farewell to Miro and escaped as fast as possible.

The moment Arya left his vision, the memory started to distort again and Miro rubbed his forehead with a sigh. He didn't understand how he was still hypnotized even though they didn't have much contact with each other.

As for the fact that Aries is a public journalist…

Many people in Sea Country Base already knew that.

'I don't gain much aside from the blind fighting skill that has improved slightly.'

And next, it was time for his own personal mission, so Miro quickly left the place.

Arya went back and washed up.

The mansion where she stayed was empty and many rooms were dusty. After all, Arya was not a diligent person who would be willing to clean up so many rooms when they were not being used.

Only a few rooms where she usually stayed would be cleaned up once a month.

She was only diligent when it came to clean up her weapons.

'Hmm, let me see the gossips today.'

Staying in front of her laptop, Arya was checking the website and looked up for the information there. The organization has clear archives for missions and records. But once things were no longer necessary, the evidences would be erased and all left was nothing more than a few lines of record.

In the past three years, the areas she could access had increased, but it was still not enough.

"Pisces next mission?" Arya looked at the mission record and was stunned when she saw Pisces's mission log there. Technically speaking, the codenamed members would not be allowed to access other people's missions log.

This was to prevent them from knowing other people's information and possibly leak it out. After all, there might be undercover agents…

'Is it a trap?'

Arya looked at the mission in front of her, feeling somewhat at loss.

If she said that she was not interested, it would be a lie. After all, she had nothing to do and getting information about other members might increase her leverage over them. But she had no interest to sabotage or making things difficult for them.

After a moment, Arya decided to click it and when she saw the things that Miro had to do, Arya was silent.

"Leo must be crazy to give this mission to a newly promoted young man."

But at the same time, Arya knew that it was also the same for her.

When she had just joined and somehow given the codename directly, they also gave her difficult missions to do. That mission nearly cost her life but it also paved her foundation in this organization.

Besides, as a 'case planner,' there was no need for Arya to be involved in the mission directly if she could stay as bystander.

Arya looked at the map and pursed her lips.

Let's take a look tomorrow.

The next day, Arya looked outside her car with a loveless appearance. She didn't understand why she wanted to come here.

Based on her calculation, Miro would definitely take this path when he escaped.

So she chose to wait here.

If he was fine, then she would just take a look and see whether he could survive or not. After all, Arya knew very well that their group leader only wanted the best to stay in their group.

Otherwise, their group performance would be surpassed by the other two groups.

Even though Arya didn't care too much about this, she didn't want to be nagged by that annoying old man.

The group performance would determine how much resources would be invested into that group.

There were a total of three groups and the name of the groups would determine the codename of the people in that group. For example, their group is called zodiac's group because all members would be given the codename of zodiacs.

Of course, there were also peripheral members who were responsible for various things such as cleaning, investigation, and some small missions.

Arya leaned on the chair in boredom before she heard footsteps and turned her head to the side.

Miro was limping, half of his body stained with blood and he was clothing his arm. When he saw the car and Arya in front of him, surprise flashed within his eyes.
