Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: Lucifer Morningstar

In a high-end bar in Los Angeles.

"Is it really okay for us to just run away like this?"

Harley Quinn sat next to Dante, lazily blowing bubbles into her soda.

"It's not work hours anymore, so why are you still only drinking soda? When did you change?" Dante frowned, puzzled. "With your personality, you should at least be drinking a pitcher of beer, right?"

"Oh, Pudding, even though I'm crazy, I'm also a Doctor. Drinking during my period? Do I look like someone who likes to suffer?"

"I really can't say."

Dante shrugged, which earned him a flurry of punches.

It felt like being scratched by a cat, not painful at all, just a little ticklish.

Looking at the empty bar they had booked, Dante stretched.

After all, with Hulk here, the other guests had already scattered.

This might cause trouble for the government.

But it wouldn't be too much trouble.

The Asgard siblings had just been working as miners for him, so giving them a short break was only fair.

And why not? Dante was in a very good mood right now.

While Odin and the Asgardians were still busy confronting the Angel Kingdom, Dante had already swept away all the undeveloped rare metals.

Especially the massive amount of uru metal that had filled all his pocket space. He even had to craft several more just to carry it all.

Just thinking about Odin's old face when he saw the devastated Angel Dimension made Dante feel utterly refreshed.

Even if he couldn't see it.

After all, it was one thing for him, this son-in-law who hadn't even married yet, to incidentally resolve an invasion of Asgard. But going on an expedition to the Angel Kingdom? That was not his responsibility.

The Star Team had only gone to a resource-rich dimension to mine resources.

Who could blame him?

Dante not touching Odin's treasury was already giving his future father-in-law more than enough face.

"Bloody hell! I don't remember my bar being booked today!"

Just then, a white man in a flamboyant suit with a strong British accent walked in, announcing himself as the bar's owner.

Behind him was a hot, wheat-skinned beauty. But from her expression and body language, it was obvious this beauty was a fighter.

When Dante turned and saw the two of them, his mind went blank.

Ignoring them, he instead waved toward Ada.

"Ada, I forgot to check earlier. What was this bar called again?"

"LUX, it's the best bar around here."

"Damn… it really is." Dante drained the last of his whiskey, then instantly switched to a smile as he walked forward and offered his hand to the bar owner. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Lucifer Morningstar."

"Hmm? Wow, you know me?" Lucifer raised an eyebrow, his irritation instantly replaced by curiosity. "It seems… you also want help, right?"

"Help? No, no, you're overthinking it." Dante smiled. "We're just here to drink, but it's all our big guy's fault for scaring away the customers."

He pointed to Hulk, who was clumsily jumping around on the dance floor.

"That really is a big guy…" Lucifer looked at Hulk with surprise, but quickly shifted his focus back to Dante. "But I'm more interested in You. Tell me, what do You most desire in this life?"

In an instant, Dante felt an overwhelming force trying to drag his deepest desires to the surface.

But only for an instant. The feeling vanished in the next heartbeat.

Protected by his Old God status and the Emotional Spectrum, Lucifer's power couldn't affect him.

At least not this Lucifer, who had abandoned his authority just to enjoy life among humans.

"About that, You really can't affect me, my dear Lucifer Morningstar, or rather…" Dante leaned slightly forward and whispered in his ear, "Samael."

The moment he spoke, something whooshed past his ear. Without hesitation, Dante activated his Green Lantern transformation, materializing a fist-sized shark head that bit down on a strangely shaped dagger.

"Careful, Mazikeen. A dagger forged from hell metal can actually hurt me."

Looking at the master and servant's expressions, Dante felt smug.

Good, he had them under control for now.

"I know You probably have a lot of questions for me…" Dante walked toward a booth in the corner, "but You have to believe, we really just came here to drink tonight."

After sitting down, Dante looked at Lucifer leisurely.

He sighed inwardly.

Among the strongest beings below the Almighty and the OAA, a complete Lucifer could easily rank in the top five. Half of God's power, the ability to shape all things, was no joke.

But the guy in front of him, with eyes full of confusion, was just an immortal bum with endless life.

Of course, he could reclaim his authority at any time.

But as long as Lucifer was still having fun in the human world, he would never return to his complete form.

Lucifer stared at Dante for a long time, then suddenly relaxed and leaned back into the sofa. His voice was lazy now.

"Alright. Hurry up and tell me, what kind of thing are You? Something Father created through willpower? Did he send You to deliver a message, or to drag me back to hell?"

"Lucifer, if You ask me, let's just kill him!"

"Hey, Mazie, You're too impulsive. And more importantly…" Lucifer pressed Mazikeen's shoulder down. "You are not his opponent."

Dante's mouth twitched. This guy really only lived in his own world.

Listen to people, you idiot!

"I have nothing to do with that guy. Getting You back to hell is Amanadiel's job… However, since I'm already here, there is something I'd like your help with."

Lucifer nodded. "Well then, since that's the case, let's forget the unpleasant topics. Tell me what You want my help with."

Lucifer accepted Dante's explanation without resistance. Or rather, he didn't care about the details.

He just enjoyed the game of living among humans.

So Dante didn't hesitate and took the Darkhold out of his pocket space.

"I want to know, who exactly is the soul in this book?"
