Chapter 218 - What on earth did Bi Ji teach you!?

Having never once set foot in the human world, Jiang Feixin was stunned all along the way by the breathtaking scenery of Shrek Academy.

This so-called number one academy on the continent gathered the wealth of the world. Every landscape and every building within its grounds was worth a fortune—no telling how much money and resources had been poured into it.

Jiang Qingtong walked beside Jiang Feixin with a faint smile, quietly watching her.

Her personality now was somewhat different from how it was in the original story—more lively, though this liveliness seemed to be shown only toward her.

Qingtong finally understood why Feixin had been so excited earlier when she mentioned having "something to discuss" that evening.

Just what on earth had Bi Ji taught her!?

Qingtong shook her head with a sigh. Noticing, Jiang Feixin asked anxiously,

"Qingtong, what's wrong? Are you unhappy about something? Is it because I suddenly came looking for you?"

Seeing how nervous Feixin was, Qingtong shook her head, feeling a little emotional.

That face, ninety-nine percent identical to Wang Dong'er's, in the original was only created after glimpsing the image of the Goddess of Light deep within Huo Yuhao's consciousness. Yet now, with just half of Tang Wutong's soul and Tang San's hidden manipulations, she had become like this.

To toy with another's fate so lightly—was this what it meant to be the lofty Sea God Tang San, the so-called upright and noble enforcer of the Divine Realm's laws?

Truly immaculate and untouchable.

Qingtong shook her head again, reaching out to brush away the strands of hair blown loose across Feixin's face. She smiled softly.

"No. I'm happy that you're here."

"Qingtong!"

Feixin cried out sweetly and threw herself into Qingtong's arms.

"Hey, hey… we're still inside the academy! Watch the impact!" Qingtong quickly patted her head when she felt Feixin's hands start to wander. "Let go!"

Reluctantly, Feixin released her, pouting.

"Fine… then I'll wait until tonight."

Qingtong shot her a glare.

"Where's your recommendation letter?"

"Recommendation letter?" Feixin blinked, tilting her head in confusion.

Qingtong nodded and explained what it was.

Feixin shook her head.

"Bi Ji told me that with my talent after taking human form, Shrek Academy will definitely accept me, so I don't need any recommendation letter."

Hearing this, Qingtong looked her up and down.

"What level are you at now?"

Feixin thought for a moment before replying,

"In human terms, I should be a fifty-sixth level Soul King! And I'm still young for a human age!"

With such talent, there were hardly a few in all of Shrek Academy who could compare.

Bi Ji wasn't wrong—those arrogant admissions teachers at Shrek weren't about to let such genius slip through their fingers. Recommendation letters were for screening ordinary people, not prodigies.

Qingtong brought Feixin to the admissions office. While the teachers didn't ask for a recommendation letter, neither did they process her enrollment directly—they first reported it to the Sea God Pavilion.

After all, to the present Shrek Academy, the matter of Jiang Shengyu and Jiang Qingtong was of the highest importance. For Qingtong to bring in another person with the surname Jiang—of course they had to inform Xuanzi.

It was laughable, really—two people from the Sun–Moon Empire now carried Shrek Academy's hopes for the future.

It could easily be foreseen that, had it not been for the chosen child of fate, Huo Yuhao, joining Shrek, this so-called "number one academy of ten thousand years" would have gradually declined after Elder Mu's death.

Huo Yuhao had indeed saved both Shrek and Tang Sect, forcibly extending their millennial glory.

When Xuanzi laid eyes on Feixin's face, he froze in astonishment. After a pause, he asked hesitantly,

"Qingtong, she is…?"

Qingtong answered offhandedly,

"My cousin. A distant cousin."

"Cousin? How strange."

Muttering to himself, Xuanzi then asked Feixin to release her martial soul.

Feixin had no fear of her soul beast identity being seen through. She directly released her Golden Dragon martial soul. Her brown eyes turned to gold, and behind her appeared a mighty golden dragon radiating majesty and ferocity!

When her golden gaze swept over him, Xuanzi felt his brows tighten.

Even his Taotie Divine Ox martial soul shuddered for an instant under her glance.

That subtle tremor left him shocked. From her soul power fluctuation, she was only a Soul King, yet her martial soul could actually exert such an effect on him!

Such talent!

Such an extraordinary martial soul!

A top-tier dragon-type martial soul!

Xuanzi's eyes shone as he gazed at Feixin, but then a thought struck him, and he sighed inwardly.

Why is it yet another person from the Sun–Moon Empire? By what right do they possess such a gifted martial soul? This should belong to Shrek alone!

Suppressing his feelings, Xuanzi said,

"Good! Shrek Academy accepts you. You'll enter the Inner Court. As it happens, Qingtong is also advancing to the Inner Court this term. You two can go together—it will be good to have company."

"Alright, thank you, Elder Xuan."

Feixin nodded, unbothered by the arrangement, even thankful. For her, it didn't matter how things were set—she only wanted to stay with Qingtong.

That evening, Jiang Shengyu carried his bedding and knocked on Xiao Hongchen's door.

Seeing him standing there, Xiao Hongchen tilted his head.

"What are you doing?"

"Moving in with you. Can't you see I brought my quilt?" Shengyu lifted it to show him.

Hongchen stepped back, arms crossed.

"Don't you already have a dormitory?"

"Got kicked out."

"Who? Who dares kick you out?" Hongchen asked, curious.

Shengyu sighed helplessly.

"Feixin wanted to live with Qingtong. So here I am. You've got an empty bed, right? I'm moving in."

"You're really that comfortable letting her stay with your sister?" Hongchen looked at him in surprise. "Aren't you worried she might just—"

Before he could finish, Shengyu tossed the quilt onto Hongchen's head.

"Shut up already!"

Hongchen let him in, grumbling,

"Fine, but you make your own bed. I'm not lifting a finger."

Shengyu rolled his eyes.

In the girls' dormitory, Feixin had just finished bathing.

As she pushed open the bathroom door, steam billowed out. Standing in the mist, she exclaimed in wonder,

"Ah! So this is how humans clean themselves. It's actually pretty comfortable!"

Qingtong, reading on a chair, glanced back at her.

"In the Sun–Moon Empire, the civilian soul tools are even more convenient. I'll take you to see them next time we have the chance."

"Okay!"

Feixin nodded with a bright smile. She bit her lip gently, tying up her long wavy blue-pink hair, then sat on the edge of the bed. Turning toward Qingtong, she said softly,

"Qingtong, I'm ready."
