The portal, quiet for so long, quivered faintly in the distance — a gentle ripple at first, like sunlight dancing across water. But the shimmer grew, pulsing with a strange, urgent rhythm. Lira froze, feeling a tug in her chest she had never experienced before.
From deep within the trunk of the Great Spirit Tree, a voice rumbled, low and wise, echoing through the Grove:
