Chapter 109 - Dragon Lands

The morning sun glinted off the clouds as the Azure Wing and its companion ships cut through the thinning mist, the hum of elements beneath their hulls steady and rhythmic. Below, the Dragon Lands stretched endlessly, a land of strange colors and textures that shimmered in ways Lira had never seen. Forests pulsed with faint, otherworldly glows, rivers wound like molten silver through valleys, and mountains rose jaggedly, their peaks tipped with ice that reflected the sunlight like shards of crystal.

Then, in the distance, the first sign of civilization appeared, a cluster of colossal towers piercing the sky, their spires twisting with elegant curvature, seemingly grown rather than built. Each tower was adorned with intricate carvings of dragons in flight, wings unfurled, tails curling around pillars. Huge statues of dragons, frozen mid-roar or mid-glide, stood guard at every entrance, their stone scales glittering faintly as if touched by lingering magic.
