Maybe it was because Mira found out about the incident with the maid the day before, but over the next few days, her attitude towards Gloria softened a bit.
At the very least, Gloria was able to eat every day, and she didn't mind having a bit more work to do.
On the weekend, early in the morning, Gloria finished washing the dishes and stepped out of the kitchen, only to be stopped by Mira. "The flowers in the garden need trimming. Go take care of it."
Gloria's hands were still wet, and she wanted to ask where the machine was.
Back at the Russell Villa, trimming the flowers and plants was always done by the servants using machines.
Three years had passed, so there should be more convenient machines available now.
But Mira handed her a pair of scissors.
"Be careful. The flowers and plants in the garden were personally chosen by Mr. Windsor's mother. They're very precious. If you damage them, you won't be able to afford to pay for it."
