NYLAH
The guards dragged me out of Ivy's room and dumped me in front of Sofia's room like I was a rag doll.
I sat down in front of her door even after they walked away, I didn't have the strength to move or even try to stand. My legs felt numb, and my entire body ached.
I had no idea if they didn't know that I was wolfless. Maybe they thought I would heal. That's why they beat me to a pulp, but it was too bad. If I hadn't attended to on time and my wounds were treated, it could get infected, and I could lose my life.
I stayed on the cold floor for long minutes; I couldn't keep track of the time with the pains I felt. I only knew that I stayed on the floor for too long until I began to shiver.
Loud footsteps echoed in my ears, and I heard Sofia's voice. It was a gasp. Followed by a sob. She squatted and touched my hair, I was too bloodied for her to touch my back, and I sat face down, so the only good place she was certain she could touch without hurting me was my hair.
