"If you end me now, you will never know what I wanted to say, and I don't think you will like that." I replied and closed the distance between me and Alpha Dmitri.
He regarded me with scorn. It was visible on his face, the way he shifted on his seat.
"You are an ungrateful fool." He mouthed, and I nodded knowingly. This wasn't the time to mince words with him. I had to speak calmly to him and make sure he forgives me so that the beast would stop attacking my pack.
So, I replied with a calm voice.
"I am sorry for not fulfilling my own side of the deal and for being stubborn about it. And I am also sorry for causing your daughter pain." I meant what I said, but I had no idea if he knew that I meant what I said.
He hummed, his back pressed against his seat, his legs spread forward while he rubbed his index and thumb fingers together.
"How do I know you mean this apology?" He asked, looking me up and down.
