Chapter 3 - Instant Slash Attack, Gion the Peach Rabbit’s Shock

Marine Headquarters.

Female Dormitory.

At this moment, Marine Captain Tashigi and Headquarters officer Ain were both staring seriously at the diary copies in front of them.

[Rosen's Sailing Diary!]

[Reward Record Video — Partial Skill Showcase of Swordsman Yoriichi Tsugikuni.]

"Tashigi-senpai, how do we play this recording video?"

Ain turned her head, looking puzzled at Tashigi beside her.

"Tashigi's not sure, but maybe if we click the center of the screen, it'll start playing."

Tashigi shook her head slightly, uncertain.

Hearing that, Ain nodded slightly, and the two of them clicked the "play" button in the center of the video.

Soon, a projection of light appeared from both of their diary copies.

As Tashigi and Ain watched the video, they strangely found themselves instinctively knowing the names of the characters appearing on screen.

The man in red robes, wielding a sharp blade, with markings on his forehead, was Yoriichi Tsugikuni.

In front of him was Muzan Kibutsuji, holding his severed head in his broken arms, trying futilely to reattach it to his neck.

"Huh?! I actually know their names?"

"Wait a minute—why is Muzan Kibutsuji still alive even after being decapitated?"

"Could he be a Devil Fruit user?"

Ain's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Keep watching, Ain."

"This might be our only way to understand Rosen."

Tashigi frowned, speaking seriously.

Ain immediately nodded.

From the previous diary entries, they both understood that the diary's owner might possess the ability to see both past and future, and held strong hatred and resentment toward the Navy and the Celestial Dragons.

If someone like that wasn't handled properly, they could pose a serious threat to the world.

["What does life mean to you?" Yoriichi's face darkened with shadows as he spoke solemnly to Muzan Kibutsuji.]

[Muzan gritted his teeth, staring at Yoriichi in disbelief, unable to respond.]

[Seeing this, Yoriichi said no more. He took a single step forward and raised his blade.]

[At that moment, Muzan's body suddenly exploded into countless fragments that scattered in all directions.]

["Transparent World," Yoriichi whispered inwardly, and the world seemed to slow down.]

[Even the rapidly flying meat fragments slowed.]

[Moreover, Yoriichi could now see even the pieces behind other pieces—his vision fully penetrated everything.]

["Sun Breathing: Thirteenth Form," he whispered to himself once again.]

[In the next instant, his blade became a blur of motion, igniting searing flames that slashed toward the scattering fragments.]

[In just a flash, most of the pieces were incinerated.]

"Wow... Amazing. I couldn't even see clearly."

Ain's mouth hung open in shock.

When Yoriichi whispered "Transparent World," the video entered slow motion.

At that point, Ain could still follow his movements.

But once he began swinging his blade, the video returned to normal speed—and all she could see was a blazing afterimage and flames that almost seemed to spill out from the diary itself.

"Tashigi-senpai, could you see it clearly?"

"How strong do you think this Yoriichi guy is?"

Ain turned to ask.

"Tashigi... couldn't see clearly either."

Tashigi's brows furrowed deeply, her expression serious.

Just then, a crisp voice accompanied by the sound of the door opening echoed in the room.

"In that instant, Yoriichi swung his blade over a thousand times."

"He sliced apart more than 1,500 fragments."

"The remaining smaller pieces managed to escape."

Startled, Ain and Tashigi looked toward the doorway—standing there was none other than Gion, known as the "Peach Rabbit," a Vice Admiral and candidate for admiral promotion.

"Vice Admiral Gion, you... you have a diary too?!"

Ain stood up in shock, staring at the diary in Gion's hands.

Gion smiled and nodded, then walked over to sit beside them and said with a light laugh:

"The diary appeared in front of me just earlier."

"And I wasn't allowed to tell anyone else about it—or I had this terrifying sense that death itself would come for me."

"I originally just came to see you, Tashigi. Didn't expect Ain would be here too."

"And it turns out you both have diaries as well."

"What's even stranger is that those of us who own these diaries can talk about them freely with each other."

"Even add each other as friends."

As Gion finished speaking, both Ain and Tashigi's diary copies displayed a message:

[Detected nearby Sailing Diary copy. Gion has sent a friend request. Accept?]
