Arthur slumped against the stone wall and took a deep breath, he hadn't noticed it earlier. But there was a violent clash of forces inside of his mana core. The mana he had recently received from the vestige. The calamity. Whose dwelling had only gotten stronger after the seal had been broken. He was feeling a bit tired. As his body was constantly being worn down, though had a slight fear. A slight dwelling in his heart.
Arthur slipped off into rest. Planning to only rest his eyes. No such thing happened. Arthur woke up in the library. Where a blazing inferno and large gusts of wind were engulfing it. The form of a dragon and a colossal titan fought above the scorched remains of the center of the library.
Yet there was another man watching with him and yawning. A man that strangely resembled Arthur's father. It had been a good while since he had saw him.
"Useless guy…"
The man turned to look at Arthur with a slight grimace.
"It's good to see you've remembered me. Kid."
Arthur raised an eyebrow.
"How come you're here? Last time I checked. You gave me nothing useful, and then turned into a bunch of dust like a Disney character when they die…"
The man sighed.
"A what?"
"Nevermind. Just answer the question."
The man smiled and chuckled a bit.
"Well. I lied."
Arthur didn't exactly know how to react to the information.
"About what, exactly?"
"Well. Everything. I'd say. That book wasn't empty. The light speed slash was just a minor little thing I made up. Though. It is quite handy. For a low level swordsman. But clearly. You've taken the burden of knowledge for the world to acknowledge you. Which I must warn you. Is a horrible thing in some cases. And a wonderful thing in others. Though more importantly. If the memory of a thousand years have been dug into your head. Then it'll be much easier to teach you. You just have to dig in that head of yours. Which won't be easy."
Arthur sighed. It was a bit too much to take in at once.
"What do you mean by 'acknowledged by the world'?"
"Well. I'm sure you've seen the great, big, large tree hanging over the horizon in every area of the world. Think of that. As a god. Or a, piece of it. But it doesn't exactly matter. All that matters is, you've been acknowledged by the cycle, as a herald, and therefore, you are doomed to loop with the cycle, and given the fortune of bearing its kindness. As heralds are, particularly favored by the cycle. For some reason."
Whatever the man was saying, was going in through one of Arthur's ears and out of the other. In fact, the man just kept talking. And Arthur, although he was missing vital pieces of information that he was missing. He simply couldn't bother to keep listening to the man yapping. And ended up watching the dragon and giant clashing. It was much. Much more entertaining…
