Chapter 9 - Cross-testing the first trial

As I awoke, I noticed I was still in the hospital wing.

"You're finally awake," said a voice he knew well.

"Hey Doctor," I said.

"Brian, we do have something scheduled by the hire-ups, and it's out of my hands," she said seriously.

"But we just had a security breach, can't we rest for a minute?" I say this was messed up.

"I know, but after they saw what you could do, they wanted to make sure they could contain you," she said with pity.

"Don't talk to me like that, ok?" I said, whispering, clenching my fists.

"What?" She asked not understanding.

"I don't need your pity," I say sounding angry and not realizing it.

"Ok then..." she said pausing.

"...You have a cross test today," she said as if nothing had happened.

"With what?" I ask as I didn't want to deal with it.

"SCP-049," she said as the room went silent.

"What," I said as I was exuding anger and a slight amount of fear.

She noticed and hurriedly tried to calm me.

"Don't worry, you're not gonna die, we are just checking if you have what he calls the pestilence." She said that actually helped, and the room went back to normal.

'What's she talking about, Brian?' said Mark, ringing in his head.

"I believe we will be talking to a doctor who is the one with a killing touch," I replied to him aloud as the foundation knew of my troubled mind, yet didn't see it as odd, considering the other people in this institution.

"Which one is that," asked Dr.Symtry with a slight yet noticeable curiosity.

"Mark," I replied in one word, as that was all needed to answer the spoken question.

'Damn, I've got to make sure I prevent this attack, it must be 049,' I thought.

We then left my room and walked along the hallway. We passed guards who glared at me, still holding a grudge for what Mark had done.

"You let these worms look at you with hatred and do nothing why?" Asked Khonsu but only I and the others in my head heard.

"Because they are not worth the trouble," I say this time I was heard by the doctor.

"I'm sorry?" She said with a slight offense in her tone as if I were talking to her.

"Khounsu is asking why I ignore the guard's aggression," I reply, as my words were not intended to offend the doctor.

"Ok," she said simply.

We soon arrived at a door marked by the number 049 in bold print and a class under it that read Euclid.

"I and the other researchers will be in a room were we can see you through the class is he tries to touch you, you are permitted to escape the room but no harm shall come of him or us in the process" she explained to me as if I was a child who would undoubtedly break the rules and steal from the cookie jar.

"I understand," I reply, as it was no use to refuse entry, as it was mandatory for the system.

I entered without another word and saw a table with a bell which I usually see at hotels.

"Sit and ring the bell SCP-8483," said an unfamiliar older voice.

I did not speak a word and just complied.

The bell rang out louder than usual or that could be me thinking of the impending attack.

Slowly, a door opened, and a person in a dark cloak and plague mask entered.

"Well this is interesting," it said in fake amusement.

"It has been a while since I have had another of my stature to talk to," it said in reverence.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, confusion clouding my thoughts as this wasn't how I had pictured this going down.

"Someone who has been cleansed, though its way is different from mine, it seemed to have worked, yet you still seem sick, not with the pestilence, but your cranium seems altered, like it has been moved and twisted in ways I can only imagine," he said as this was a alternative I was not expecting.

"What is your name, healed one?" he said, curiosity creeping out from his words.

"Brian," I said simply.

The Intercom soon rang out as the old man from before spoke.

"Well, that's all we needed, SCP-8483 you may lea-" he was cut off as a loud bang rang out.

ROARRRR!!!!

Red lights glared and all the doors were locked down.

"The reptile is loose, it seems," 049 said.

"SYMTRY WHAT'S HAPPENING!"I shouted trying to figure out what's happening.

"A KETER HAS ESCAPED CONTAINMENT, I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT WHICH ONE," She said, panicked as I was yet 049 sat there in silence.

"Oh my god," she said, her voice low and humbled by defeat.

"We're all gonna die," she said as her voice cracked.

"Symtry, what the hell is out there?" I shouted as she began to sob.

"Death itself fears it, the lizard with the ability to never die and the embodiment of hatred that humans caused," she said with a tremble in her tone.

"682 has breached containment and is heading this way.

My heart sank as even if I was technically immortal the fear was uncontrolled.

"Fuck fuck fuck" my mind raced as this was the worst scenario for this quest as it was almost impossible to stop this creature when released.

Before I could think further, the beast roared once more, only a few thousand feet away, but that number dwindled fast.

'Damn it all,' I thought, then remembered the one thing I had.

As fast as that thought ended the last proof doors exploded open.

Without thinking further, my suit appeared, the black wrapping appearing around my body as the cowl formed. I wasted no time and liquidated the ground under the beast to slow it.

ROARRR!!!!

Its anger soared higher than ever before as this petty little creature dared to try and slow it down from ending him.

Two weapons formed of his will

ceremonial Khopeshs.

'I might as well have some fun before I might die,' I thought, laughing to myself.

"IT'S CLOBBERING TIME" I shouted with anger and glee.

'Mark, I think he's gone insane," said Steven to Mark in worry.

'I think you're right, Steven" he replied.

I rushed at the beast that had gotten free from the Grey sludge that once was the floor.

I used the Khopesh in my right hand to chop off its front right leg.

It was severed in but a moment but when I turned to look it had already grown back.

The rage in its eyes intensified tremendously.

It pounced all its weight on top of my breaking everything I had in my skeleton Turing my bones to dust though they regenerated just as quickly and broke once more as the weight broke them repeatedly as it was more than a ton.

I felt the cracking yet no pain came.

Pain something that all life had yet feared somehow eluded me entirely.

I smirked as I relished in the absence of the pain that I feared I would encounter when fighting this beast.

"HAHAHAHA TRY HARDER NEXT TIME B*TCH". I say aloud as I laughed like a insane lunatic.

I began attacking relentlessly which eventually stop hurting it but then my weapons glowed with an ethereal light like the moon itself.

I began to do damage again as the lizard began to become sluggish.

Eventually it passed out from exhaustion that seemed to be caused by the Blade that glowed.

Ding!

**Mission complete**

Reward added to ticket container.

I began to liquidated the ground and put the beast in it and the solidifying it.

I then use wall of stone to raise up the stone I encased it in.

All of a sudden guards ran in and pointed there guns at me like I had caused the outbreak.

"Stand down" one guard said but his finger pressed on the trigger.

The bullets flew penitrating my body blood spraying but I stood there without a care.

They backed up in fear seeing I was unphased.
